  • I'm legitimately curious, how do you possibly see Bruce Wayne going along with these people once they are destroying cars/property and murdering police officers? There is a limit to being deep undercover.

I never said agree with their goals. Not to mention that we don't even know what their motivation is.

  • Maybe a Suicide Squad DLC where we can play as Deadshot or something?

I wouldn't mind a Harley DLC episode. Or a Catwoman DLC episode. Or a Gotham City Sirens DLC episode.

It depends on whether there's more to them or if they're doing what they're doing just for the hell of it. I just mean that it could be possible that once he knows them better he could unexpectedly care about them. I don't expect Bruce to suddenly be like "Everything they're doing is completely justified" I fully expect him to go against them at some point but growing attached wouldn't be that unthinkable.

EDIT: I think at the very least Bruce could get attached to John and feel guilty about using him.

To me good and evil aren't abstract constructs, and it's crystal clear from the trailer that Quinzel and her friends have very dark intentions.
They revel in chaos and violence, which is absolutely not what I believe Batman to stand for : order, justice and hope.

I'm sorry, you guys might enjoy those very colorful characters but let's not even pretend they are not wretched.

I don't appreciate the sarcasm - it's too early to say that. You might be right though.

  • Well said, BruceBrothers.

  • How dare you besmirch the good image of our Holy Frank.

Nah, he was a less than minor character with <1 minute of screentime

  • Feel free to discard what we have already seen of them. Batman deserves to be locked up if he shares their "views".

  • Don't you see how it's all connected!?!

My point is, they're not real people! No need to get so serious about who Bruce should and shouldn't sympathize and hang around with and talk about people being maniacs when they're fictional characters. Don't be so damned serious.

I don't think you would want a "maniac" running around town, smashing in various windshields in your streets, would you? I don't think you

  • Iconic scene that one.

It would be satisfying if the next episode ends with a scene like this.

Unfortunately, it wouldn't be too practical to stick Bruce/Batman in a wheelchair for the rest of the game, unless they have someone magically "punch" his spine back into place. (That was probably one of the dumbest moments in "The Dark Knight Rises," IMO.)

Well like i said i will definitely join "The Pact" if TTG gives us that option, so far they seem to be kind of an Anarchistic group, which i'm kinda sympathize to, despite all their cons!

    AgentZ46 posted: »

Funny that you mention that! I've been thinking a lot that the story could get really complicated as time goes on as Bruce might optionally grow to care about the members of the pact.

  • I thought it was Hugo to be honest.

I love Bane's accent. I've always preferred Bane as a more terrifying version of a Lucha Libre wrestler, and it looks like Telltale might be playing up that angle.

  • Episode 2 is reportedly 90-100 minutes long instead of 2hours like some hoped.

She also mentions some elements have been altered/rewritten which isn't uncommon at all.

Maybe we won't get to see Barbara Gordon after all.

  • Only three and a half more days!

  • I'm really hoping to see Barbara Gordon this season and possibly Batgirl down the road.

  • I don't mind the length. I'm sure it'll be a good episode either way

  • I can already hear the collection of groans simply because its an average length episode.

  • Yep, people get wayyyy to obsessed with episode length. Instead of constantly worrying about the length they should just enjoy the story at the length it is rather than Telltale being forced to pad it out to appease people.

I can already hear the collection of groans simply because its an average length episode.

  • I like how you are contradicting yourself lol.

    Well said, BruceBrothers.

  • I know it length doesn’t matter at all. It’s the quality. For me an episode could be 30 minutes but I wouldn’t care as long as it’s good. Like I said awhile ago I’m pretty sure from now on only premier episodes will be 2 hours long.

  • It would be a nice change for us to break his. I wonder what choices will be offered to us as to how we handle Bane.

  • Eh, still longer than A New Frontier.

  • I think the fact that Batman S2E1 was 2 hours long, was really because of the story they needed to tell. Telltale needed to set up a lot of plot threads for this season (the Agency, darker villain: Riddler, Death of a friend to raise the stakes, John Doe's mysterious involvement, and the introduction of the Pact) and it's a good thing that they did all that in the first episode, as now all the other episodes will just build upon it, giving us a nice rolling plot, regardless of length. I'm sure it'll be a fun time either way.
Plus, you really have to commend Telltale for putting a lot of branching paths and interesting choices into the mix, there was a lot of that in Episode 1.

  • Uh I don't even sympathize with Anarchy and I don't think Telltale will do that.

    Uh...you sympathize with them?

  • Just finished replaying the game. So excited, I think the final choice of the episode will be to go after Bane or Harley

  • So are we ruling out educated guesses? HQ got what looks to be blood on her bat quite innocently did she? Riddler killed people just because they might have gotten in the way of whatever plan he had, including cops, and then in turn was killed by some member of his pact. The rest of the pact, however, might be upstanding, honorable people. Right?

John comes across as adorably awkward, but with obvious streaks of viciousness. I don't expect him to stay squarely in the gray much longer. And HQ? Some people have argued that she is actually a good person when not influenced by the Joker. This version of HQ? I am not giving her the benefit of the doubt. She totally seems like an insane psychopath.

We may not know their exact intentions, but I'm pretty sure they won't be good.

  • This is probably the most hyped I've been for a new episode since ANF premiere.

  • Tomorrow is when we see early gameplay of the episode! YES!! I can't wait!

  • As long as it is well-paced and good, I am willing to accept the 90-100 length. And if there is some hubs to explore, that will be good too.

How am I supposed to pass my classes if Telltale keep releasing awesome narrative-driven games ?
