Spoiler-free Impression on Ep 2!

For those of you who have played the new episode, or have watched a play through, what are your SPOILER-FREE thoughts? How did it compare with Ep 1? What would you rate it out of 10?

Comments

  • The episode was really good in my opinion better than ep 1. I actually don’t know how long it is because I had to take 3 sort of long breaks in between to do other things. But I think it was definitely shorter than ep 1. There’s actually not a lot to say without getting into spoilers. I give the episode a 8.5/10 .

  • Glad to hear it was enjoyable! Sad its shorter than ep 1 though!

  • How were people able to play the game already? I mean, unless you are a reviewer?

  • Australia

  • Like OfficialMonkey said it’s other time zones or you could do what I do if you have a console change you’d region to Australia. Since I live in the USA I do this to avoid early spoilers.

  • Since it'll be a while till I'll be able to play it, I'd still love to know what's everyone's opinion (spoiler-free ofc) on the new episode. Hope it's okay to bump this.

    mods dont kill me pls
  • Great second episode! I really love what they're doing with the story this time around and how the episode was 80-90% all about Bruce, rather than Bats, but it does come at a cost of duller moments with Batman compared to how superb Bruce's sections are. I did experience a lot of jitteryness in the first 30 mins of the episode, including a long loading screen and a crash, but eventually it fixed itself somehow and I had a mostly smooth experience. So very good stuff. Not quite as good as the premiere or my personal favorite S1 EP 2 (despite it being much much longer) but its building to something really great. 8.7/10

  • Can't even download it so ...

  • At this rate The Enemy Within is shaping up to be the best Telltale game since Tales From The Borderlands.

9/10 Much better than the premiere and that episode was already a pretty solid start.

  • This is quite possibly the best thing Telltale has done.
They've really upped the tension in this season, stuck you with bad people and forced you to work it out.

You should keep in mind that this episode is mostly focused on Bruce, but that is not a bad thing in any way.
TTG is still throwing curveballs your way and they're good.
Lots of choices, lots of permutations, and it really feels like things matter more often.

    It's good.

  • Having finished the second episode myself, I have to say that I really enjoyed it!

I like how you get to see a new "perspective" this episode, without getting too spoiler-ish. And I absolutely adore John.

Super excited for the next episode, I hope the wait wont be too long... I'd give it a 8/10!

  • Absolutely loving this game so far. If it keeps it's great work up, it will definitely surpass S1 and some other TT games. I would say this episode was even better than the first. Job well done here, Telltale.

One of the best episodes this company has made for any of their games in my opinion, they managed to re-introduce popular Batman characters in enjoyable fashion, they truly captured the insanity and brutality of the villains, they pushed the limit of morals and we interact allot more as Bruce Wayne. The decisions felt like they mattered and it still feels like a continuation of Season One with some nods at Bruce's father. Plus the differences in the endings were a nice touch!
