  • Well looking into it...I can get a desktop...but would need to buy a monitor which would put it more expensive than the laptop for 16 gigs of ram...and 6 gigs or ram would choke to death on some of these newer games.

  • I wouldn’t recommend buying a laptop for playing games. You’d be better off building your own PC

  • From the price perspective, desktop computer is more ideal to play "high-end" computer demanding games.

However if you travel a lot in such a way that you could be using a computer, then laptop can be nice for gaming.

  • Well this video should give an idea of its performance in games. Essentially on par with a desktop GTX 1070 in a smaller, portable form factor. Though, keep in mind the benchmarks are also at 4K or close to that,so with the laptop's screen being 1080p, performance should be higher. Unless you use DSR for some super sampling.

  • Well rule of thumb for GTX series of cards...1070 is great for 2k screens and lower...the 1080 will do 4k really well the 1080 Ti best of all...but thanks to this video...Digital Foundry are amazing...I can get a laptop and then play games on my 4k tv and have mobility than investing in a desktop and having to buy a 4k monitor. These laptops are amazing.
