Marianna was killed on Novermber 14, 2016, in-universe.

  • @Graysonn found it among the developer notes within the game's files a good while back. However, if that's true, perhaps something got changed.

It takes place within the comic universe, the outbreak there began in or around 2003, a new frontier is 4 years after the outbreak so it should be somewhere around 2007, not 2016 ? unless TT got confused or something?

Or the video game series now exists in its own universe! ?

It could've been an error with the year. Or even an in-joke regarding the episode's premiere.

Hershel, Shawn, Glenn, and Blasphemous Kung Fu Hobo Knight say otherwise.

  • Well.... personally I missed it until I replayed Season One earlier today. I never knew that there was an option to fix the swing yourself. As far as I knew Lee would check the fence and talk to Mark and Andy then he would go out and check the perimeter. Then once Lee and a wounded Mark return to the Dairy and meet with the group Andy informs Clementine and Duck that he fixed the swing

  • All I noticed was a couple of extra dialogue from Clementine such as "Thank you Lee you are the best" and "Thank you for fixing the swing Lee" Every other playthrough I done I did not hear this dialogue

  • Yeahhhh that isn't true at all.

The date is probably just when that file was created, since ANF was actually released about a month later.

  • Nah you misread, it was the date that Brad Kane (the lead writer at the time) left a note for the devs about the Mariana grave section. Not the actual in-universe date.

So what you’re saying is that this VA has a habit of playing bitchy old women who deserve to be killed in the most brutal of ways. Well, at least she’s consistent.

Joan's voice actress Jayne Taini was previously Earth Queen Hou-Ting.

  • Why do people keep posting stuff by this person and taking it as truth? I’ve never even heard of this person until yesterday when viewing the Game of Thrones thread. How would she get this information, and why are we trusting everything she says?

Apparently Jessica Krause is the writer for Season 4 Episode 1 according to @AnEvilHag on Twitter.

To be fair, Joan wasn't that initially and just kinda got shoehorned into being so during the change in direction.

    But yes, I suppose.

Having just played Thicker than Water in preparation yesterday, here's a few details I took note of:

The achievement for Chapter 1 was called "Faces in the Crowd"

You don't have to touch the LS stick to drag Specialist into the closest

Eleanor also took a gun from Gabe's armory bag

Attempting to cover for Gabe when Kate sees the stab wound will still have Javier briefly blame him(wtf?)

Not hitting the walker when reaching into the toolbar results in a pretty pathetic game over

Gabe and/or Marianna apparently had considerable car sickness, even leading to projectile vomiting in the upholstery(?)

Staying silent when Kate confesses counts as not returning her feelings, though she'll be less hostile even if you kissed her(I think)

Not doing anything when Joan's men start converging on Clementine will have Javier duck out like a dumbass and get shot

    When is this said?

It’s a determinant line that Javier says while in the truck with Kate, Gabe and Clem. Something like “there’s moments I don’t miss”

  • When is this said?

During Kate and Javier's conversation in the truck when she says seeing Clementine and Gabe play Euchre reminds her of the good ol days.

    When is that again?

During the shootout at the end after you choose whether to allow Gabe to go after David and Ava.

  • Even so, no offense to Don't Look Back, but I'm not ready to assume every thing she says as fact. Unless she's got some real deep inside information that can be verified, everything from her that I've seen is just hearsay and may not be true. I'm not saying she's a liar, I'm just naturally hesitant to believe something without actual and verifiable evidence.

I don’t normally like getting involved between possible disagreements...anymore, especially when DLB is involved but I decided to do some digging anyway cos that’s what I do and I found this

I doubt she’d bullshit about her roll so maybe DLB is right?

P.s. by digging I mean I literally just typed her name on Twitter and found it straight away

  • I wouldn’t lose hope just yet, the way the first game ended it was a pretty clear setup for a second instalment, with Gared getting ready to make his return. It would make the story pointless if they don’t continue it. Like why go to the north grove to get help if we never really see them help at all?

  • Yeah if s2 never happens then Telltale GoT was a monumental disappointment and waste of time.

For the people talking about Jess working on the next walking dead game, i saw on Twitter that Emily Buck is also working on the fourth season.

Both Emily and Jess did some good work on other Telltale games so i'm looking forward to seeing what they to with TWD :)

  • I take it that there’s some hope for a decent season then? I mean I enjoyed season 3, at least the gameplay but I’m in the mood for some story substance this time around.

I think it's pretty good, Emily worked on all the Michonne episodes as well as both Batman games and Guardians of the Galaxy (which is still good despite how people have reacted to it on the forum).

Jess also worked on Guardians of the Galaxy and Batman so i feel confident that both of them working on TWD is a good thing.

  • In the earliest drafts of Season 2, Rebecca's refusal to believe Clementine was innocent would've been coincidentally validated.

Can I just say that I love how only three vehicles of people angry about not having food manage to be enough of a threat that it turns Edith into a nervous wreck, cause friggin explosions, and two people running away apparently requires that they send 3-4 people(about 1/3 of their invasion force) after them when that manpower and ammo could be used to deal with the opposition inside the supposedly armed settlement that their attacking?

  • Wellington got fucked over the hardest when it came to the s2 flashbacks if you ask me. Kenny's hat possibly being in s4 is the only good thing about it.

  • There was so much potential for Wellington.

  • According to IMDB, Gavin Hammon (voice of Kenny) also played the scavenger bot's voice in Dead Space 3 personality pack dlc. I didn't even recognize him, and I've been hearing the voice lines over and over for the past month.
