Batman: The Enemy Within - So many plot holes
In episode 3 , when Waller and Avesta "save" you from Gordon at Bruce's office, Waller mentions that Bruce is Baman in front of Avesta but Bruce doesn't seem to care. Later in episode 4, when Avesta tells Bruce that she knows he's Batman, he is surprised.
Also, Cat-Woman steals Riddler's usb from The Pact because "she has to do it her own way" but later in the end of episode 3, see comes back to help them like nothing happened ( and gets caught if you tell Harley that she is the one that stole her laptop).
When Bane nearly kills Bruce after he attempted to destroy the virus, John saves him by throwing a batarang on Bane. He couldn't have one as I didn't let him keep it after I trained him throwing them and put it back in my belt.

I know, the one that bothers me the most is how Bruce asks John for the laptop, John gives it to Batman, and that is never mentioned again. In that choice John himself stole the laptop and didn't even give it to Bruce, you can't neither blame him for the theft not ask him why he gave the laptopt to batman and not to Bruce.
In Harley's office "why didn't you give me the laptop" should of been an option so he wouldn't suspect you are batman. Sort of got forced into making it obvious you are Batman.
I think my personal plot hole gripes are from S1 that you expect would be answered in S2 but arnt. Before that though.
Oz doesnt find out Bruce is Batman after taking over Bruce's company. He literally is hacking Batman's tech and the tech they used is the same as well as the secret Batman lab. How can anyone not possible consider "HMMM, COULD BRUCE BE BATMAN?" and even then if they dont think Bruce is Batman, how could they not think that Bruce is very much helping Batman?
Next plothole is Joker at the very end of S1. He is in the bar and seems to be scheming to do something to Bruce/Batman. S2 comes and this is 100% forgotten and that whole little teaser was worthless. I was really expecting that to build up into a reveal that John was pulling strings all along, but I guess not. (Unless this is somehow revealed in episode 5 but I highly doubt that)
And the biggest plot hole of all time. Season 1 ep 4. John just KNOWS that Vicki is Lady Arkham. No explanation at all. Youd think when S2 came around it would be explained somehow but its not. This is the biggest ex machina Telltale has ever done. "We have no leads but Joker just KNOWS everything because he just DOES." This same scene John implies he knows we are Batman too, but I guess this was forgotten because John never says he knew from events before Season 2. This one isnt that bad considering it was revealed John knew, but the Vicki is Lady Arkham thing bothers me. Just super lazy writing. I think my main issue with Telltale's Batman is just John in general. Basically rewritten in S2 (not that he is written badly but things from S1 were just left behind with no explanation) and his jump to the main antagonist for episode 5 was too rushed in my opinion. It probably would have felt more natural with some kind of twist calling back to these S1 moments, but they took a really lazy way out.
Remember that Vicki had her base right inside Arkham, and John knows his way around Arkham, wasn't it said that he has been around there and nobody knows for how long? And is not as if Lady Arkham hid she was Vicki, she had pictures of herself and her adoptive brother in there.
Still again, now he's just "I show up and know everything about Arkham" and now that would just leave more unanswered questions. If he knew Vicki why Tell Bruce? Does John not like Vicki or? My point is, you cant just have this character show up, tell you the entire back story of a character with the best lead of him knowing being "Well no one knows how long he's been there" and then tell you exactly where to go and what to do. Not to mention him also seemingly knowing Bruce is Batman as well. Just because he's been there a while is not enough for him to be some exposition machine with no actual explanation.
Actually Poogers it could've been a ploy the whole time since remember at the end of Season 1 he says he might not be able to top that but he'll give it shot and I think he is referencing Bruce having two different personalities as Batman and Bruce. When Bruce is around he is the nice and helpful version however, he also seems to have a dark personality and is trying to trick Bruce into believing his stories which is seen in episode 4 of Season 2. I don't think it is a plot hole but we will have to wait and see.
Considering if you go as Bruce John says that he will "see you soon, Brucie" it would imply he has some sort of plan involving Bruce. If you go as Batman the van attack is after Gordon and not Bruce and John says he wants to give it a shot, meaning he also wants to cause mayhem. So for now, yes I would say it is a plothole. S1 set John up to be a certain way but was then forgotten about. I highly doubt his Vicki connections and the S1 ending scene will ever be mentioned, which sucks because it would make John feel less rushed to become the Joker.
I wondered about the Vicki one as well, honestly, they could've probably explained it by John saying that he found her file in Arkham while he was looking for his own? Would've at least been a plausible explanation.
As for Oz, to be honest, part of me is more surprised that more people are discovering Bruce is Batman, because it's always baffled me how few characters ever made the connections between Bruce and Batman in past shows, films and comics but it does feel more baffling now that we see more of Bruce's side of things.
I mean Batman's computer couldnt even find out Vicki was from Arkham? If there was files Im sure they would have been documented somewhere and Batman would have found out. Or even the people at Arkham putting 2 and 2 together with Vicki and Lady Arkham
I think he was surprised that she was the one who found out.
Because she is either working with you now, or doesn't have the usb anymore, so has to keep her cover.
Sounds like a glitch.
Actually, in S2E4 he repeats that he knows the "real you" before revealing that he knows. It looks like he knew from the beginning, or at leasts suspected.
They just didn't know what to do with John. In the choice results of S1E4 it says Joker, but in all the choice results of s2 it says John all the time. I'm glad they changed him. Makes the character more intereresting
