No, every company goes through a rough patch and usually comes out stronger because of it.

Simply put they made some mistakes, acknowledged them, and are correcting those mistakes

Something else to note is that there games are very cheap to make and have made a lot of money from past games so I’m sure they can afford a few blunders.

  • They will never shut down, until they're owned by EA.

  • They just paid to send employees to PAX East (and GDC before that). Companies about to shut down don't bother sending people to gamer conferences. So I don't think you have to worry for now.

They won't shut down but i'm a little worried of what they're gonna do after TWD and TWAU.

    • Purchased by Valve: Only makes hardware, VR, and tech demos for 15 years-

So your worried because you tubers that know nothing more than we do THINK telltale is going downhill.

This is the same problem with why everyone thinks we aren’t getting a borderlands season 2 because some articles reported on it and gave the obvious opinion that it was a commercial failure and we aren’t getting one, except telltale never stated we weren’t getting a sequel, all that happened is that several ex-employees were asked how developement went.

So in short don’t listen to these videos because no one should take them seriously there just opinions, only get worried when a current employee actually states there’s something wrong and so far from what we’ve all been hearing telltale is doing all right.

  • I don't think a current employee would state there's something wrong if they plan to be a future employee lol. Otherwise I agree with the sentiment, TTs not going anywhere anytime soon.

  • Well the verge article they talked about was a pretty good expose on the inner workings of bad management. But the article did say there were some really significant changes going on at Telltale. It will take time to fix years of intrusive management, but they are trying and that is a big change as before the leadership denied any issues.

The new CEO seems to know what he is doing...and importantly he seems to know when he should just trust the people making his games to do what is right and make the key calls. Before the new CEO...decisions on how certain aspects of the game would be handled came from Managers who were not working on the game itself, sometimes scuttling whole plot points and wrecking story flows.(ANF looked to be a major victim of this as a lot of cool things were ripped out and even the voice actors were getting annoyed with all the re-recordings that had to happen).

So in the end, we just have to hope. They have a very talented group that has been working on the Batman series, and many of them seems to be working on TWD:TFS....and the guy who created the Fables comicbook series said he was giddy over the story that Telltale was coming up with. Telltale is talented @Gavin34 now we get to see how they do things under friendlier management,

  • I don't think they will shut down any time soon, after they finish up with TWD The Finale Season and TWUA S2 they will probably either revisit their older games (which I'm really hoping for!) or they will start making a game for a different franchise like Doctor Who or Star Wars. I really hope Telltale doesn't shut down because the way Telltale makes video games is so different and unique compared to the rest of the gaming industry, seeing a video game where you can make your own decisions which will affect the way you play and the way the story is driven isn't something you would see a lot from games and that's why Telltale is so awesome.
