[Star Wars] Thoughts on new canon Sith
Recently, in Star Wars annual #4 we got a name drop of Darth Atrius and we even got to see his lightsaber. This is major news for Star Wars fans everywhere because now a new Sith has come along to both the canon timeline and one of the few canon Sith who used the rule of two. The second thing that's most exciting about this news is probably Darth Atruis' lightsaber, his lightsaber is one of the newer ones (not chronologically) this type of saber is called a Crossguard, Kylo Ren is the first to use this lightsaber on screen. The Crossguard sabers have actually been in use since all the way back during The Clone Wars which seems pretty interesting. What are your thoughts on this?

You mean the old republic right not the clone wars? There was even a cross guard lightsaber at the remains of an old republic battle in the Star Wars Rebels cartoon.
Even in legends we have no idea who all the sith were between Darth Bane to Darth Plagueis/Sidious who took part in the rule of two. Considering there is supposedly a 1000 year gap between Bane killing off the sith to start the rule of two and the sith's reappearance in the Prequels it is pretty much guaranteed there were a lot of sith in that 1000 year period carrying on the tradition and getting stronger.
As long as Disney don't de-canonise and replace characters like Revan, Emperor Vitate etc then it's all good.
Revan and vitiate aren’t canon anyway so they can’t be de-canonised
I am confident it'll mean nothing. I bet this Darth Atrius will never show up at all in anything, and I think it's slim that he'll ever appear. It doesn't really seem Disney wants to explore the Old Republic at this time. Oh well.
They can if they make material in that era and don't include them. Like a movie pretty much replacing them.
Wouldn’t that just be not including legends characters? Seeing as you can’t really decanonise what isn’t canon
Apparently The Clone Wars show was going to have Revan appear as a ghost to Anakin in a scrapped scene, so he was that close to becoming a part of Disney canon lol
That was due to Jedi Master Dave'y Wan Filoni foreseeing the Disney de-canonisation of all star wars material except the movies/tv shows. However the scenario for Revan appearing didn't really make sense which is why they didn't include him in the end.
Fuck this new star wars bull. Disney destroyed anything remotely good about the whole greatness of what star whores use to be.

I don't really think he will appear either, unless they make an anthology movie about him or even just a small reference. If he does make a return, or doesn't, it's still cool to know that he is canon and was once a part of the Star Wars Universe.
