E3 Aftermath....
Well another E3 has come and gone...time to pick the winners from the losers.
Presentation of the Show.....I would say Microsoft won that, from all those trailers to the announcement of the new studios and Gears 5 looking great imho. Sure the message was basically Sony made us their bitch this gen....but they are making moves to gear up for next gen and fight...that can only be a good thing for gamers as a whole.
Sony...whoever thought that show was a good idea needs fired. Boring should never be a word I associate with a Sony presentation....Spider-Man is now pre-ordered.
Nintendo...all you had to do was show something, anything that was new...you failed...well at least you saved Sony from having the worst show at E3.
Game of the Show was Cyberpunk 2077...when Kojima goes on twitter to fangirl about it...you know something is special. Wait a minute...aren't single player games dead?
The Fuck You award for this year goes to the company that has won it 3 years running...EA...You killed Command and Conquer...and used your dark magic to make a shitty mobile game. I hope you all burn in hell.
The worst trend in videogaming award goes to any website that looks at announcement teasers to try and figure out the whole plot and setting of a game. Sorry guys...not every teaser is going to have secret codes...so stop looking at them with a 40 minute Youtube video.

Id say EA 100% had the worst confrence this year, and its not just because fuck EA either. Like they seriously didnt bring anything. They just talked about Battlefield V didnt really show anything, said sorry about Battlefront 2, then talked about sports games, then 10 minutes of a mobile game. Only game anyone really cared about was Anthem but I can already see that game having some issues in the future for sure, this is EA.
I liked Sony in terms of games, hated for presentation. The whole long music pieces before games plus the weird ass intermission of moving people made no sense and isnt how you should structure your show.
Microsoft was presented well but for me personally there wasnt many games they announced there that I was interested in.
For Nintendo, luckily I love Smash because I would have been disappointed as hell if I didnt. I really wish Nintendo brought more with them, but they do Directs over the year which most companies dont do anything like, so atleast the next Nintendo Direct will probably give us more.
What about Bethesda?
What did they do? They gave us literally every bit of news we could have hoped for? They even left the best parts that everyone wanted for last to let their audience leave hyped and excited
I'm a man of PlayStation, but I have to admit that Microsoft did really well this year. I'd even go far enough to say that they might have been better than Sony this year (who did fantastic as well with Spiderman and first and foremost The Last of Us Part 2), but I am not yet sure about that.
But the winner for me is by far Bethesda. They blew it out of the fucking park and really brought a lot to the goddamn table. I'm very hyped for Fallout, this new Starfield as well as Elder Scrolls IV, even though that is probably at least 2 years away if we are lucky. I am also interested in this new Elder Scrolls mobile game and I will check it out. I think it looked pretty interesting. And they brought Fallout Shelter to Playstation as well, so yey for some new trophies. Their other announcements I didn't have any real reactions to, for I haven't played those games.
Nintendo was fantastic as well. I really need to get a fucking Switch so I can play all these great titles. Smash especially, holy fucking shit. Really, really hyped for that.
Also honourable mention to Devolver Digital. Not as good as their last year, but still amazing in so many ways.
Ubisoft and Square Enix I had no real reactions to, but the new Assassin's Creed game I will definitely get that eventually.
EA was, as per usual, like watching a tree grow. You can literally spend your time on anything else and it'd be better. I feel bad for the guy who apologised for Battlefront 2 though.
Well they did have a good E3...the new Doom looks amazing....Fallout 76..listen I am just going to outright say it...this is not a Fallout game....this is a pvp shooter where you can nuke each other silly while doing some quests which unfortunately follow in the mold of Fallout 4...which was already sorta story light. Plus online only...nah..SKIP. Starfield..yep thats all we saw was a Starfield...Elder Scrolls 6...Sweet another game filled with bugs that will never be fixed even after they are done pimping it to every platform available.
Yeah the entire EA presentation was wierd....from what I have read Battlefield V is amazing...so why not show that bigtime at your show...Anthem did look good....but well I still have the bad taste of Mass Effect Andromeda in my mouth...we will see I guess.
Not really interested in Doom or Prey because they’re not my type of games and I don’t really like the style, but I know a lot of people like them so I won’t really comment on why I don’t like them because that’d just be pointless.
Just because it has a fallout title but doesn’t have the formula doesn’t mean that it won’t be a good game at the end of the day though. It’s something new and that’s exactly what we need, instead of only new location, new story, new items and that’s it, we’re getting a whole new way to experience this world with 76, I’ll definitely be giving it a try.
Starfield I’ll be giving a try because it just looks and sounds amazing and we don’t even have any footage yet.
And elder scrolls 6 is the holy grail, to slander tes 6 is an instance sentence to hell, you must repent, my child, immediately.
I was not expecting Dying Light 2, I'll definitely get that when it comes out. Maybe the new Assassin's Creed but I'm not sure yet. Walking Dead obviously.
Honestly Bethesda won in my eyes. Can't wait for 76.
My only issue with the Fallout 76 game is that it is always an online game.
I know I'm late to the party but I really want to talk about E3.
I'm a PS4 fanboy and I gotta admit that Sony's conference was kind of boring, I liked the games they showed and Resident Evil 2 Remake reveal was the best announcement for me but there was something wrong. I didn't like how they used composers to play music before presenting the games, good idea that didn't work.
The Last of Us 2 gameplay looked promising but what bothers me the most is that it gets a lot of criticism for showing lesbian relationship, DID THOSE PEOPLE NEVER PLAY TLOU LEFT BEHIND DLC?
Death Stranding, just what the hell, I'm still confused, is Kojima going to keep doing that? I mean, the graphics are beautiful but what bothered me is the gameplay, all he showed was the PC walking around over and over, is this how it's going to be at the release or just hide what we are expecting? He really should fix the open world, it needs to be alive.
Ghost of Tsushima is ok, I do have feelings it's going to be great cause I loved the InFamous games.
Spider-Man is best part of this conference IMO. I was sooo shocked when they revealed the Sinister Six, they finally get to be introduced in the gaming universe, their designs are FLAWLESS. This trailer alone proves that the new Spider-Man game is going to be the best one since Spider-Man 2. Also, I can't wait to see the reveal of the Sinister boss, why do people say it's Iron Man? Spider-Man looked shocked when he saw him or her. It can't be Venom cause they already confirmed, no symbiotes. Green Goblin is possible but he is the new mayor of Manhattan, why would he be the villain? I have a feeling it's going to be Doc Ock.
The games that I'm excited for the most are Spider-Man and Resident Evil 2.
I gotta say Microsoft did the best presentation, although the only game that I care the most is Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
EA, just fuck off. Your presentation proved that you're still the most retarded game company of all time, next to Konami. What I hated the most is the announcement of Respawn's Star Wars game, just seriously, what the fuck was this shit?
Though I'm glad to see a new Star Wars single player game coming (Although I think it's going to be another Star Wars 1313 situation just like they did with Visceral Games's SW project), this must be one of the worst announcements and most cringeworthy E3 moments I've ever seen. Let's have fun, shall we? First off, why is Respawn announcing their game in the audience crowd and NOT ON STAGE!!!!??? Secondly, the lady who interviewed him is one of the worst interviewers I've ever cringed to, she was acting like she has never seen a Star Wars movie in her life by asking this question So if I play a Jedi, will I be able to wield a lightsaber? and I was like: ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS, BITCH?? SINCE WHEN THERE WAS A JEDI WHO NEVER USED A LIGHTSABER IN HIS LIFE? Was there ever even a Jedi in the Star Wars universe who only used blasters? And this is how they announced a Star Wars game, sitting with the crowd, gave little details and no concept arts or trailers? EA, you need to die, you even gave a middle finger to Command&Conquer fanbase but making a new C&C game into a mobile game. FUCK YOU AND FUCK YOUR GREED!!!!!!!!
I don't care much about other conferences so that's all I have to say.
Overall they all had there ups and downs
However one thing is for sure my bank accounts Gonna be sucked dry by the end of next year just off the top of my head there’s:
Spider-Man
Code vein
Assassins creed odyssey
Super mario party
Red dead 2
Pokémon
Smash bros
Control
Shadows die twice
Ghosts of Tsushima
Wolf among us 2
Death stranding
Metro exodus
Psychomauts 2
Days gone
Last of us 2
Resident evil 2 remake
Kingdom hearts 3
Welp guess I can sell a kidney.
I cried at this announcement. Having been a longtime DMC fan and one of the many people who were pretty vocal about disliking Ninja Theory's reboot I just couldn't believe it, we done it. We got rid of the reboot and got the original Devil May Cry series back and I have full faith that it'll live up to our expectations. With the legendary Hideaki Itsuno back in the director's chair this is not just my most anticipated game of 2019, but probably my most anticipated game of all time. Yes, seriously.
If you don't understand what I mean, this video from TheGamingBritShow really shows the uphill battle the fans have had to do to make this happen.
Well, anyways, here's Zero Punctuation's review of E3 2018.
I love you GLORIOUS Kingdom Hearts!
For real now what arer my favorite e3 games:
