I know there are some teen fans that would like to see a Clem romance, but if there has to be one I'm really hoping it's entirely optional. Teen romances have some of the most cringe worthy dialogue, both in fiction and in real life at times. There are a lot more themes I'd want in depth coverage on, emotional moments like seen in the trailer, and the season isn't that long.
After such a long journey of guilt, loss, and hardship for Clem, and my own disconnect from AJ, this season has a lot of work to do for him to matter. I'm not sure where there would be time for a well developed romantic relationship alongside a convincing relationship with AJ.
