  • GOD I HOPE NOT. I HATE THAT CHARACTER WITH A PASSION.

  • Nope....very doubtful.

  • They have never released a toon that hasnt been part of the game thats why i was kinda shocked

    Nope....very doubtful.

  • NOPE IM O U T

  • I don't think so.

Could be, but I figure Telltale would isolate themselves from comics characters and continuity for S4.

That episode name would be totally wrong. TTG operates on three-worded-titles like the comics do. "Done Running" is just two words.

  • Please No.

But isn’t S4 like passing the comics or some shit? How tf is this gonna work?

Edit: To anyone who thinks this may not be legit, rethink that. The title “Done Running” sounds like it fits ep 1 of S4 perfectly because Clem and AJ will be joining the boarding school and will no longer be on the road. This must be real.

  • Oh sweet! NGL, kinda sucks that's one less chance for Christa or Molly to return, but I'm totally down for seeing more of my favorite comic character!

  • Oh jee, I hope that's not true. The less comic characters we have in the game, the better. But I doubt that's the title of the episode. As Chicken mentioned, Telltale always uses three words names for the episodes.

Can anyone else see this in app?

Also the lead writer refused to comment about comic characters. I hope to god that this doesn’t take away from our 1-2 spots for returning characters.

Lilly/Christa/400 days rep/Molly would derserve to return more.

I mean, not that I dislike Jesus' character. He's pretty interesting to me. But I feel like Christa or Lilly would be far better suited. If Jesus returns then a lot of the tension regarding his character is just pushed to the side because he isn't a TTG character, so I don't think it's up to them to decide if he can die or not. Since the series follows the comics timeline. I'm personally not a fan with having characters from the comics transition over to the game simply because TTG has restricted creativity involving them.

I wouldn't say that Lilly/Christa won't be in it yet. But I definitely would be lying if I said I'm not disappointed with the news here.

  • If Jesus is in the final season then Telltale has learned nothing lol

  • Gut feeling tells me he's one of the two characters returning now which is unfortunate. I don't dislike Jesus but he's probably the worst addition to season three because he was going to be safe no matter what. And it will be no different here. If he's one of the characters I'm going to guess that the second is Christa. For some reason I think Lilly would've returned in season two if at all.

  • Damn you beat me to it!

  • I hope for my sanity that this is not real.

    Really... Jesus? :|

  • It isn't bad if it is real. Telltale may write a more compelling story with them in The Final Season.

  • Too many conflicting theories this season. Just pray for the best that Telltale have learnt their lesson and will not disappoint us once again. Actually, maybe twice because I found Season Two slightly disappointing, but to each their own. :#

  • I am confident that Telltale will create an amazing Final Season.

  • The Final Season will be up to date with the comics. I think up to the most recent issue. Kirkman usually releases an issue every 1 or 2 months (I think) so the story will probably progress with the Comics.

  • Looks like Telltale once again, not listened to fan feedback. No one cares about Jesus we want Lilly and Christa back!

  • Srsly, no no no make it worse by bringing gabe too and consider him a returning charecter who's guna go after clems ass all season! So excited for my last dissapointment with telltale I can SMELL IT.

  • Didn't expect to see so much concurrence here.
    It's actually kinda nice.

Batman: The Enemy Within Episode 5 “Same Stitch” had only 2 words. However like you and many other users here have pointed out Telltale use a three worded title for each of their Walking Dead Episodes. I guess we will need to wait until San Diego Comic Con for any sort of confirmation. I think it is likely Telltale will share a trailer or some new information regarding Episode 1 of The Final Season at SDCC but we will have to wait and see

  • Thinking maybe he pops up in a flashback for a hot second and not much else

Gotta note that Javi is actually on the same leaked list of S4 characters set to be in Road to Survival...

  • Well, yeah, I meant just TWD uses three-worded titles. Any other series is open season for wording.

  • Oh yeah. I was thinking more of hardcore predictions about the plot, characters, and environments, ala the Marauders.

    Nah, I's smArt!

    The disappointment.

  • I think the [slightly] better question is what's up with that angle?

  • As an avid Road To Survival player (Cleburne, represent!) and TellTale collector I'm.... gonna pass on him. He's primarily a comic character, not that good shield, has a bound weapons and I just don't care.

But back on topic: Why would he return? He was your Richmond connection, support during episode 3, dumped some exposition and shoved off until coming back in the end to save your bacon.
As a character in the narrative it's.... fine. A bit of fan service and a useful way to get across some info Javi would otherwise be unfamiliar with. Nothing wrong with any of that. The problem is: he's useless now. His narrative arc and role in the plot are done. He has nothing else to offer the narrative. What role could he possibly have?
Returning characters can work if they've changed, or some good character moments happen from seeing whoever they left changed. If Christa shows back up and sees a motherly edgelord Clementine it'll be emotional and satisfying. There's also several interesting directions it go. Christa could try and fruitlessly recapture the past or struggle to adapt to Clem's new demeanor. Clem could reject any value from their past relationship and push her away, or show some now rare emotional vulnerability when confronted with her past. No matter what happens: it'd be at least interesting.

But Jesus? "Oh hey, it's that one guy I shared 3 sentences with last year." Anyone familiar with the comics knows Jesus hasn't really changed and he's not gonna die. He has to return to the comic territories in the end so he won't be able to have a lasting impact. And again: there's no real narrative reason I can fathom that can't be filled by someone else.

    So.... why?

  • Five is better than none. Haha.
