How many episodes has telltale sold?
So this just crossed my mind today, I was thinking how many episodes telltale has sold in their lifespan?
Here’s some numbers
Released :
136 episodes across 32 games
As of July 2017 the walking dead series sold 50 million episodes.
I’m sure there’s more numbers but I’m too lazy:p
I’m not including hector badge of carnage or physical games
If I had to guess my best estimate would be somewhere around 200-250 million.
I don’t know what do you guys think did I miss any big indicators?

The thought has crossed my mind, as well. And my best scientific estimate would be thus: a buttload. A metric buttload.
Or your number works, too...
But how many did people pay full price for?
I'm sure more people have purchased Sam & Max post TWD, but in bundles or at 75+% discount. Though the completion percentage probably went from 90% to 2%.
I don't know if it's possible to find out the amount of episodes they have sold in their lifespan, Telltale is probably the only one that knows the exact number. However, you can use steamspy to view rough estimates of sold episodes for each game. That's only on steam (PC) though, but it's better than nothing I suppose.
This is the link for the wolf among us for example: https://steamspy.com/app/250320
Just hit the search bar and search for any game that you'd like to see the stats for. "Owned" refers to how many people bought it in the steam store OR retail (physical disc/copy) and activated it through steam. It uses the actual Steam API to gather its data, so it's pretty accurate according to the creator.
Here's a little more information about how it gathers data in case you're interested: https://steamspy.com/about
Hope it helps!
Due to a recent Steam update the data on Steam spy is completely inaccurate and unreliable so i wouldn’t trust it.
For people who are interested in stats there was recently another Steam data leak which estimates some sales figures.
So only a little over 10% of people that played S1 played A New Frontier...Those are not great numbers
I will say, the Mostly positive reviews probably affected that quite a bit, so the ratio might be closer on console, but damn...Those are some terrible numbers
Also those are only the people who have PLAYED the game, not all the ones that purchased it...Cause a lot of people buy the things and then never touch them. Tales sales is closer to a million in total sales, but only about half of the people that bought it actually played it
Damn, I didn't even know that. Welp. Scratch what I said then. Sorry!
If you are going off the recent Steam Leak, that uses achievement unlocks as it's basis (I think). So, the recent Steam Leak numbers are more likely to accurately indicate people who played and not just people who bought.
I don't think anything about Steam is truly accurate. There are people out there whom "own" nearly every title on Steam and have every achievement unlocked.
Take it for what it's worth.
