Teaser was good. I am not blown away by it, but then again it`s just a teaser. I am very pleased with what we were shown, it seems promising… more. What excited me the most is the absence of guns. That was one of my wishes for The Final Season, stop using guns on walkers! I am glad the characters are finally using knifes and bows. I also liked that they showed us the antagonist this early. It gives me hope that he will be a permanent villain for the entire season and will actually have an interesting story.
Overall, it seems to me that the criticism was answered, so I am really hopeful for this season. Nice job so far Telltale thank you! Let us see what the gameplay footage reveals next and then the episode is just around the corner (had to do it).
Since there will only be 4 episodes instead of 5, I am pretty sure this guy will be the main bad guy. He has to be introduced at the end of episode 1 creating a main human-vs-human conflict for the season.
IF this had the Garcia's in it in place of Clem what would people think?...bottom line,it looks worse than ANF by miles but by having Clem as the lead character people are reluctant to knock it
The thing that’s bugging me is that why Clementine, AJ and Violet decide not use the walker gut trick in the herd scene? Hopefully they use it as it looks like they are in danger.
It get kinda repetitive if they just resorted to using it every time, also to me it seems less of a walker chase, but rather actual (bad) people trailing behind them.

I wonder if that head wound we saw on Clem is like the finger in ANF, dependent on how things were done in ANF. I'm having a hard time imagining how, considering so much time has passed since ANF unless it's a past decision that affected her behavior, in which case it could be from any season, really.
Nah, forget ANF. The only thing that gets carried over from there is Clementine`s missing finger or her tatoo etc. (still though, that is actually determined by season 2 ending, so ANF is pointless)
My guess is there are two possibilities:
1) Clementine receives the wound no matter what, a walker pins her to the ground or something during a struggle and she hits her head. The bandage was removed from the footage that we have seen before (same as bandages on Kenny in season 2 episode 3 trailer). Or the bandage was not there because it was early footage.
2) Clementine getting that wound is determinant. That is why she does not have it in the same scene that we saw earlier. Like if you miss QTE you get that wound. Or jump in front of AJ when he is attacked by a walker

Not to be a downer here but i won’t be hyped until I see exactly how its going to be gameplay wise and how long the episodes will last. That and all the other things missing from Telltale’s games the last several years
Caroline did say to us we will be satisfied with the Episode lengths of Episode 1 (She did not mention other Episode lengths as it is too early to call). As for gameplay we saw it at E3 and what it will look like. And with how the game looks and the reassurances, comments and passing of feedback to the dev team that we have been receiving from Caroline it definitely looks as The Final Season will be amazing!

Gameplay reveal is tomorrow, so things will be more clear then. And about episodes length - we won't know until they are all released. I think episode 1 will be the longest, about 2 and a half hours and the following ones will be an hour and a half to 2 hours max. I doubt they will be longer but hopefully there will be no filler episodes since there are only 4.

Mate hate to break it to YA but in the first image he has his eyes with the same color and after 6-8 years he now have them different? I fear this is a remastered nate but not the same.
I don't know what you're talking about. The side by side comparisons just make me even more convinced. It's a higher definition model and he… more doesn't have his hat, but look at the eyes. Look at the brows. That's Nate. If he's changed it's because it's been like 8 years since his first appearance.

Ok. Just a few things I wanted to point out before the game footage is shown tomorrow and before I forget. I apologize in advance for any extremely large photos. I don't know how to shrink them outside of downloading, resizing, and reuploading.
First, this pic below...
Could this pic actually be them getting supplies as opposed to running away from the school and/or adult group? The background looks like the concept art train image.
Secondly, doesn't this image seem a bit too shiny and less detailed than the other stuff we've seen?
This looks like a normal scene, but what if this is a dream sequence? Just stylist, it looks a little different from the other clips.
Thirdly, how much more physical pain is this girl gonna have to endure? She's been bite by a dog, sewed up her own arm with no anesthesia, (determinately) punched in the gut by Carver, had the butt-end of a gun jammed into the side of her face, got hypothermia falling in a lake, got shot in the shoulder after just falling into said lake, (determinately) either received a concussion from a car accident, lost a finger, or had a bullet graze her face, now TTG wants to give her yet another concussion along with a breeding and bruised head... C'mon. Stevie Wonder can see the torcher this girl has gone through.
Now I have to admit, this pic is super cool, sad, and scary at the same time. On one side, you see a hardened survivor. The other, a girl who has gone through hell and then some. The last side is a girl who is hollow and empty and ready to give it all up if one more nerve is messed with.
There's going to be gameplay with commentary tomorrow, and I believe uninterrupted gameplay Friday. I mean the trailer was good, but it's not omg amazing return to form CONFIRMED.
It's a 50 second teaser. Aside from the episode 1 launch trailer, what we see over the next few days means more to me right now.
Not to be a downer here but i won’t be hyped until I see exactly how its going to be gameplay wise and how long the episodes will last. That and all the other things missing from Telltale’s games the last several years
Great teaser overall, and I very much appreciate the fact that, unlike ANF's trailers, it has little to no action, which is a blessing. Once… more again, the focus is on the characters it seems.
My only problem is that Clem is bandaged and bleeding around her head. Whoever did that will be suffer a slow and painful death, and I will enjoy every single second of it.
This trailer was enough for me! And this may seem like a shot in the dark, but what if our new "friends" took over this boarding school by force? I say this because whatever Clem saw in that room has to be something alarming/surprising to get that kind of reaction out of her. And call me crazy but when I heard "Clem you're in danger, you and AJ both" it reminded of Sarita (yes i know). And I think that scene where Clem has a bandage wrapped around her head, is from the same trailer we got at E3. Only in that trailer she's hatless. Maybe our decision beforehand determines weather she just loses her hat in the car wreck or loses her hat plus the injury. And FYI, I'll do everything in my power to prevent that injury.
I did a reaction to the teaser if anyone would care to check it out haha
i feel like Violet is going to be the one to be most similar to … moreClem? Clem says she has a hard time trusting people and then we see Clem, AJ and Violet running from walkers with duffel bags? who are they running from- seems intense
I agree, for some odd reason I have this hunch that The Boarding School group is keeping some major secret. C'mon, a friendly welcoming group in The Walking Dead universe? Usually something kept hush-hush. At 0:25, what's your conclusion?
Brody is a female teenager who is speaking to Clementine in the teaser. My theory is that The Boarding School group have captured her becaus… moree past conflicts in her group with the adult faction and they turn out to be the bad guys. Clementine will have to decide which side she is on. Also the group are being held at gun point so maybe it’s the adult faction, with maybe some returning characters. They have come to The Boaring School for Brody.
I think that's up to us actually. Cause that scene is the exact same scene we got at E3, only this time we have no hat. Maybe the decision we make before we arrive at the Boarding School determines weather we lose the hat and no injury or we lose the hat and suffer the injury.

Its looking pretty darn good. I'm surprised how much I like Marlon from what I've seen, and the rest of the kids seem interesting. Really looking forward to a bit more gameplay to really get an idea how much has changed.
Don't you agreee that the girl looks ugly. Like no offense, but she looks like some pre-generated GTA AI or some shit. I don't like the new engine because it makes the hairs seem so thick.
Is this a boy or girl?
Yes.
All seriousness, I've got no idea. I'm going to say boy, just because it looks like he's got a bit more of a masculine, rather than feminine, frame.
I agree, for some odd reason I have this hunch that The Boarding School group is keeping some major secret
I have a pretty decent idea of what that may involve, but I'll save that for relevance.
If I even remember.
Comments
Remember the rule of teasers...if you see a bad guy in a teaser...he is not the main bad guy.
I am also guilty of that. Sorry Sniper

Boy, I gotta tell ya: AJ's giant fro makes him look a bit out of place in that first screenshot.
It get kinda repetitive if they just resorted to using it every time, also to me it seems less of a walker chase, but rather actual (bad) people trailing behind them.
That works both ways.
Your delusional anf looked like crap
A story focused on Clem and an most is perfect and this looks great much better then the shit show anf

Well I would say you shouldn't be able to walk off a bullet wound but...Carl
This is the Telltale forums we're talking about, it was gonna happen eventually

They've already basically confirmed this we don't need to tag them in every single thread or they're going to stop replying altogether

Anyone else think the zombie in the middle looks like Lee? I know it's obviously not him but the haircut and clothes really remind me of Lee.
I hope not because I did not find him interesting nor a memorable character.
Neither did i.
The left eye is practically the same. The right eye is only different because of a weird trick with the lighting.

Man... Is it time to play the game yet?
Yes

Yeah okay this teaser just gets better with each watch. I need to know all the details!!
I'm excited for the gameplay this Friday!
Unless self inflicted from accidents which I feel can be equally likely.

Minus the beer belly, or should I say "Brain-Belly" lol.
Compared to what? a boarding school of teenagers and AJ speaking in a wise voice xD
I have a pretty decent idea of what that may involve, but I'll save that for relevance.
If I even remember.
Violet won't sound like that, right? She's not that weak! She would have a more relaxed voice like Molly.
I thought the same lol looks like Walt.
Just imagine if Lee was with Clem this whole way. I want to know - does the group accept adults?
Don't you agreee that the girl looks ugly. Like no offense, but she looks like some pre-generated GTA AI or some shit. I don't like the new engine because it makes the hairs seem so thick.
I kinda dont wanna watch the gameplay because i dont wanna see spoilers. I like to experience it by myself.
Maybe they killed the principal? lol. It has to be something crucial though. My best realistic guess is someone being held captive.
So damn true. why does everyone have bullets it's always 'we're nearly out of food', never 'we haven't had food or bullets for months'.
