Wikipedia isn’t a very reliable source of information, the current Lee rumour came from his character appearing in the road to survival game and people assuming that means he will appear in the final season.
It would be interesting if we do get some sort of flashback but don’t take the wikis “conformation” as fact as anyone can edit it with false or incorrect information.
And you know... the fact that he was at SDCC... promoting the fourth season with TT Games themselves.
The VA's were pretty emotional during their recent IGN talk, weren't they? Especially Dave Fennoy, it was just..man..
Yeah, they'd better do something to bring those two back together in a scene. The story Dave shared about how all the original S1 cast eventually met for the first time at a dinner and became good friends from that point forward was very touching.

If we're gonna bring back Lee one last time, might as well her parents as well. My only thing is that I can only see this happening in a death scene at the end. Clem "sees" Lee, then her parents, they they tell her it's time to come home. Her hallucination fades as she takes her last breath. Man... I swear this last season is gonna fill me with anxiety until I finish the game with Clem still not bitten.

Right? No Going Back's trailer was the best. It was just so emotive, Clem talking to her parents about the Racoon. She almost saw them as an annoyance, little did she know it was the last time she'd ever see them alive. S1 and S4 Clem are completely different in personality, if it weren't for the ZA she'd probably be a lot more jovial, if that's the word. The apocalypse changed her. Still, I don't know how they'd handle Diana and Ed returning, not much you can do there that would make it a better scene than Lee's flashback. Change my mind.
As an apparent Telltale employee gone rogue, I can confirm that Lee will be returning. We didn't know if we wanted him to return but we decided on the idea before comic con.

I've always felt that Clementine should be missing her parents a bit more than Lee, Kenny, Omid and Christa considering the time she had spent with all those guys is so much less when compared to the time living with her own parents at least.. It is almost as if folks and even the developers think Lee is her true biological parent when he was only around for roughly 4 months tops.
You are definitely not alone on this. Lee was cool and all, but Clem's relationship with her parents in underutilized. That moment in S2 when Clem is bluffing to Carver by saying she and her dad were at the cabin was sad. They way she said her father's name was almost as if it briefly opened a wound. The line about her not knowing how parents are in ANF in response to Gabe's comment when the Garcias were heading to the junkyard was another touching spot. Shoot, now with Clem playing both a sibling and a parental role over AJ, now is the perfect time to incorporate her parents and the parallels between them and her.
