Suggestion for next TWD game.

It was heavily implied by Kent Mudle during the ign comic con coverage, when you guys were showing the footage, that TFS is the end of Clem's story but there will be more TWD. That being the case, I think you should start over from the beginning with a whole new cast of characters in an entirely different location, maybe Texas, Arizona, California, or Montana as a few suggestions, just somewhere away from the American south. Show another group of people and another area and how things devolve there. Don't try to continue the timeline after Clem's story is over. I mean, we're already 8 years in. Plus, if you continue the timeline people are gonna want to see Clem, unless you kill her off (better not). Starting over from the beginning of the outbreak will curb a lot of the demands for Clem after TFS.

  • I know, it should be about a spanish family and that would be the theme, the characters grow a huge community and jesus comes back but with a wierd voice now and there's an idiot named Gabe who becomes smitten with an asian girl.
Javier struggles to find a role in his newly reunited family. Meanwhile, tension within the walls of Richmond grow. Will (insert interesting character here) and the rest of the group turn against Javier? It may be time to choose between the family you’re born into and the family you've made.
Hmm, yeah, sounds about right. If it were a continuation, called A Newer Frontier, imagine AJ walking into ricmond with a backpack and he just collapses from exhaustion and then when he awakens in the hospital room he asks Javi to teach him basketball and the story continues from there. It would truly work and it would seem as though it weren't forced, wink nudge s4 since I hear there will not even be a mention of s3 cast in that. It would also leave oppurtunity to fill in the blanks with the ending to s3, i.e. missing characters, relationships with Garcias, deciding to take charge of Richmond (if you don't then in the first episode Javi would probably be smoking on a bench or something all day)

  • ANF should have been the new TWD...they should have started at the beginning and let us get to know the Garcias....instead of pussy footing around with the relation ship thing...just pull the trigger and had Kate and Javi as an item....then a couple of games into the series..Oh hi David. The characters could have been interesting and cool...but just being dumped into their lives like ANF did? No that is no way to get us to care about Javi, Kate and the kids. It was a disservice to the fans and to the voice actors who brought them to life.

  • I cared about Javi and Kate. Kate became my TWD waifu. I was neutral toward Mariana and actually hated Gabe. I made sure to do things in such a way that David and Gabe would die and all I had left was Javi and Kate lol.

Honestly they could return to javi next season with better writers.

  • As much as I want to see him again and continue his story, I'd rather they start completely over with an entirely new protag and cast. They skipped over so much of Javi's story, the early years, that we've already missed the window to really care about the family, plus it'd be healthier for the game anyway since so many people disliked ANF and returning to the characters would probably hurt hype and sales.

  • Can't. Their fates are all determinant which means they could all die at Howe's (I'm assuming they all died at Howe's when the herd rolled through. It's been too long and I don't remember if we saw any of their bodies but it doesn't seem like anyone survived).

Making a game about any of them would mean having to retcon some or all of their 400 days story, as well as a bit of season 2 in order to do it.

  • WD pinball 2? 800 days featuring Omids cat? maybe a harvest moon style farm sim with the st johns?

  • You're being ridiculous with that last one but I actually wouldn't mind a settlement building and management game set in a zombie apocalypse. Not state of decay though, something more in depth. Something that allows you to build whatever you want wherever you want and manage it, be its sole leader.

  • I think we will get to play as AJ since Clem is now teaching him how to survive "AJ is always listening". Clem will die and we will play as AJ, he will have all her skills learned from the final season. She might or might not die...

  • In the end AJ shoots a turning Clementine and then next season meets a group of people who all die in the end but one of them gives birth to a baby girl and AJ is left alone with the baby. In TWD AJ S3 our protagonist isn't AJ but some random dude who used to play baseball. AJ, now a hardened survivor whos gone through hell and back and has lost so much that he doesn't trust anyone, meets the baseball player and finds out that good people still exist. Nevertheless the season doesnt focus on AJ but this random dude for some reason. S4 of AJ's journey is the final season and now he is teaching the girl to survive in the world of TWD with the lessons he learned from Clementine who learned those skills from Lee. The season ends where the turning AJ is shot by the girl.

I'd like a party/fighting game ala Road to Survival on consoles that just pulls characters from any of the games(including upcoming ones) and plops em together for a fun time.

In addition to this heavily futuristic take on TWD, settlements such as Howe's Hardware, Wellington, New Richmond etc. will instead be settled in GARGANTUAN space carriers, like the UNSC from Halo and the Olympus Mons from IW. Imagine boarding the carrier, looking for help, only to find everyone in it is dead, and heave turned into walkers? Also, the idea of many walker-infested carriers floating throughout space would really send the message to those surviving that no one is safe anywhere, kind of like in the game

Rather than driving around in cars, they'd fly around in dropships like the pelican and Raven

    It should be titled
    THE WALKING DEAD: DEAD SPACE? :D :D :D :D :D

  • Well I know Gabe and David can spar.

Ignore the monster ripping him in half, but this.THIS as a death scene. Please.

  • Imo, I think the next game should focus on Javier in Richmond, that is if his or his family’s fate isn’t sealed in TFS. Telltale obviously tried to make him seem important to Clem’s story, but he wasn’t. Now that Clem’s story will be done, they can return to focusing on Javier and his family to please the fans who enjoyed them and tell the story they never got to tell.

Also, am I the only one who doesn’t want a Kenny mini series? I like Kenny, but he doesn’t need his own mini series. We all know what happens to his character in the end. The choices also wouldn’t matter since he’ll be dead in the majority of everyone’s game (unless he left you at Wellington).

  • Yeah...maybe. it'll kinda be like a before the storm thing whe re you know no matter what you do Kenny will always end up in the exact same place. With that said, I WANT TO SEE KENNY AGAIN I DONT CARE

    Give me Becca!

That'd be so sick. That'd be a dream come true for me.

Give a little back story on what she and Shel were doing before the turn, what her friends and family were like. Show what happened during the turn.(Give a cameo to that cop high-tailing it out of that prison bus.) Show how they met *Stephanie. Give the choice again. Show how they met Tavia and the journey to Howe's.

Then give her a kick ass arc, on how she is the most badass little girl capable of anything.

  • They need to start completely fresh with new characters and a new location. New York, Massachusetts, California, Illinois or another country.

  • Building off of others' comments: While I would love more Javier, or even him having his own series to grow off of, ANF was that chance and giving him another series probably wouldn't do so well with the non-fans of him.
The least that could happen is him reappearing briefly in TFS.

Now, as for a new original cast for a new series, yeah I'd love that!
The one thing I'd love for Telltale to do however, is to have a good number of people move from one season to another. We've seen Telltale kill off or abandon almost all the main cast in each Clem season so far, that it's gotten stale and uninteresting for future seasons.

Or, on another hand, perhaps Telltale could try a few stand-alone seasons? Some groups/stories may not warrant sequels, and the ending to the one season is what you get! It would be interesting if we didn't know that beforehand...

  • Show how they met Michelle.

    I'm sorry--WHAT? :open_mouth:

By this point, in terms of character development, I don't care about 'your choices matter'. People matter.

The fact that so many have been put in the trash after every season is heartbreaking for the relationship developed throughout the season. It's all just... Gone. No more.

  • It did say your choices will determine what aj will become. And when clem asks aj what to do if she gets bit leads me to believe that aj will take over as the mc for the next sequel or sequels of twd. I hope clem doesn't get killed off.

  • I doubt it, they've gone through the cycle once already. I think they are gonna get a entirely new cast and go back to the beginning of the ZA

It may be leading to a giant epilogue, which will detail what happens to the characters over the years after the game ends and will be unique to how you played. Like, if you play a hard, Clem and AJ first and screw everyone else final season, you may find that in the epilogue AJ became a villain, always looking out for himself before anyone else and eventually taking that even further and becoming a bandit or something. Or maybe if you play a softer, more cooperative and friendly Clem, you may find that AJ ends up leading a successful survivor community when he's older.

  • I hope they don’t make AJ the playable character. It would be the laziest possible move they could make. It would be an exact copy of Season 1’s ending with AJ replacing Clem this time around. It would feel repetitive and would make the last 3 seasons feel pointless. If the cycle just repeats itself again, then what was the point of Seasons 2/ANF?
