I mean it's kinda like the Lee & Clem situation. I for one said "Manure" lol I didn't wanna swear around this kid I just met. Then we find out if we do, she starts to say it. But thinking about, it's only "Sht" this kid AJ goes full sailor and blurts out "Fck" . It's preference but I won't allow it. And I totally agree with you by setting a good example, I'll be taking that route as well but still try toughening him up as much as I can. The apocalypse is no excuse to let someone do/say what they want, especially someone his age.
In regards to that choice where you can decide whether or not AJ can swear..... What would you guys pick? Honestly I would go for the watch … morethe swears option as I want my Clementine to set a good example for AJ similar to how my Lee set a good example for her. I know my own reasoning is pretty silly and it is pretty far into the apocalypse so people wouldn't really care if they see a child dropping F-Bombs and all that but I really want Clementine to come full circle, to pass the same lessons that she learned from Lee onto AJ. I want Clementine to show AJ what the world was like before it became inhabited by walkers Sorry if my reasoning is ridiculous
I agree. I also said manure as that is what it is called so I was just saying what it was in a friendly way towards an 8 year old child. I think it is really cool that we get to decide if AJ can swear as it allows for a more unique experience for players. Some people will be all for it and select it as it is the apocalypse, the old world has fallen and long forgotten by people. But I want my Clementine to show AJ some of the aspects of life from the old world as well as teaching him the ways of the new world. I want AJ to toughen up and become capable of survival but I want to show him that despite the state of the world there is still good people out there and to try to be kind to them. Oh and to always do the right thing if he is confronted with a difficult decision!
Hopefully I made sense as I am not quite good at explaining stuff

And another thing that's crazy is - weather or not we decide to swear in front of Clem early on, in ANF she swears regardless. I think she says "fck" a few times. I hated that, it was really off putting! I may be overreacting, but it was really cringe to say the least.

That aspect of A New Frontier bothered me along with how Kenny's fate was handled. I still really enjoyed A New Frontier but I am very well aware of the flaws that are present in it. But I prefer to acknowledge the positive aspects of the game rather than jump on the bandwagon of hate for it But yeah I did find Clementine's use of swear words to be unusual. It did make her sound tough and grown up but it didn't sound like Clementine to me.

forced relationships
This is the deal breaker for me. I understand Clem is "of age" and all, but don't force it down our throat to a point where we begin to hate that particular character. I'm not shipping any "ships" this year.

I was so shocked as to how it happened. Like the chances are so slim for it to actually occur but it doesn't make it totally impossible. Melissa Hutchison and Dave Fennoy participated in an interview with Gammaray earlier today. They spoke about Clementine's journey from Season One to The Final Season. There were also some strong hints towards a certain character from Season One to return in The Final Season. Sadly they did not give any names but it is most likely Lilly I think Melissa also said that she will be part of the Panel for PAX West. So that pretty much confirms that Telltale will be attending PAX West.

Nah.
All I thought was how oddly classy yet clever of the story to begin with one crawl down the road to set the stage from Clementeen and AJ driving in the direction--only to NOT just run over the thing as they drive by.

From the 15 minute game play trailer, I didn't get the impression we wouldn't be able to explore. Whoever was playing was just trying to showoff the good stuff, I feel like everyone would've been disappointed and talking crap if they would've used the first 15 minutes to simply explore all the hub dialogue options instead of showing us what's in store. Can't please everyone, though. It wasn't suppose to feel like a real let's play or something..
Hope they let us take our time in hubs. That's my only worry. But I feel we should be good.
Promising start. But let's see if our new cast of characters are worth a damn.
We have to keep in mind by ANF she's had it pretty rough and it's expected by the age of 16 for ANY teenager regardless of how good of a parent figure you think you were to them, to curse when the parents aren't around.
I mean, look at most teenagers today and you'll understand why they took that leap. It would've been awkward for her NOT to curse at that stage in her development. Does everyone's real world logic just fly out the window when we get on this forum, or what?

What type of person would you end up as if the group you thought you could confide in kicked you out and took the one thing away from you that helped you hold onto your past self? I'd imagine you'd be bitter, too on our first encounter. Especially if the aforementioned group just kicked you out with no food, barely anything to defend yourself and took your post-apocalyptic adopted child away. They only really spoke about Clementine's journey from Season One to The Final Season. Near the end of the video they make a comment about a certain Season One character that may be returning. I will check it out now and will take some notes. I will return once I am finished sorry for the wait
Yeah I totally agree, but my thing is her desperation to be some hard-ass. True the apocalypse has harden Clem without a doubt, but the transition is somewhat off putting. Better yet, something I wasn't expecting. I expected her to become more of the "loner" type than the "edgy-teen" given what she's been through. Not Chloe from LIS.

I know it is still too early to make a decision for some people but this question is to everyone: After seeing the Gameplay footage what are your thoughts and feelings towards The Final Season? Do you like how it looks? What do you think of the "Graphic Black" art style? How about the unscripted combat?
I'm still as hopeful and cautious as I was before about it, but I am more excited now. Everyone says most of the graphic black seems to apply most to the background, and while I agree to an extent, it's still very apparent in closer shots and on Clem and AJ in scenes where the light only covers about half of their models.

All I said was that his decision to shoot Kenny in Season Two Episode 5 completely broke me. I never expected PewDiePie to make that choice.
But that wasn't me who said that. I quoted what another user said to me in a response to that same forum user. That statement ""They made her too edgy and it was awful. It was at a point where I loved being around her all the time to being annoyed every time she was on screen . But it looks like she's changed for the better this time around." was not my own comment.
Please go back and check my comment. I was responding to what another user said to me. I quoted their comments in my reply to them. But no I didn't make that comment. I am not trying to be rude or anything but I don't want to be questioned over a statement that I didn't make. Sorry if you find this aggressive or anything but I just want to let you know..
In the Gammaray interview I do think they said that a certain Season One character could return. I will need to take a second look
What were the highlights/important parts at the Gammaray for The Final Season?
They only really spoke about Clementine's journey from Season One to The Final Season. Near the end of the video they make a comment about a certain Season One character that may be returning. I will check it out now and will take some notes. I will return once I am finished
sorry for the wait
