One of those bags were present on the bed in the demo but Clementine wasn't given the option to interact with it and check it before moving the bed for the trap door. I think that was kinda lame to not have her look in it but obviously return for it later.
I've said before that the 2nd bag could be what cigar guy brought back from a supply run, as there's only one during the day when Clem first visits the station.
One thing is for sure, that train station IS important and was most likely already known to Violet + the Boarding School prior to Clem and AJ stubmling upon it. Could it be Violet is the negotiator with the adults and not Marlon like everyone assumes?
You'd think he would've been there instead of Violet if it was his deal w/ the cigar guy.

I am still trying to find out the character of that smoker. I know that there isn't that much to go on but yea
It's obvious that he is going to be a threat but based on the image. He doesn't seem that evil tbh, like Carver. Or crazy like Badger and Nate. He seems rather a bit unsure or even a bit sad. I'm pretty sure there is a lot more to him then just, hello I'm the bad guy.
Alright to summarize all the things that are mentioned in the thread:
Violet is going to be kidnapped by the smoker
Marlon made a deal with the smoker. The smoker is probably at the trainstation cause that is were the deal is happening.
Aj confronts him cause he kidnapped Violet.
It's a shot of him calmly taking in a puff from his cigar after walking in on Clementine, AJ, and/or Violet.
Pretty sure he's just one of the baddies who aren't phased by finding hostiles and he'll probably be just as calm when questioning them before the smackdown.

I've edited it in my post but I also think that Marlon is going to be the ''traitor that made a deal with the Smoker. Because of two reasons. His breakdown and obsession with protection and cause he is the leader of the boarding school. So he has some power.
Okay first I thought that she gets killed but somebody pointed out that Violet is alive in episode 2, but that still doesn't mean that there is nothing going to happen to her. I think she gets kidnapped. The exact same reasons also apply to this theory. Which you can read in my post.

Yaya: (slaps) Where were you?!
Always when I see/hear that only one thing comes to mind:
Yaya, yaya yaya, yaya yaya, yaya yaya Toure!
Kolo, kolo kolo, kolo kolo, kolo kolo Toure!
Uh, how do you know?
I got spoiled on some of the events.
Okay, then maybe she is going to be kidnapped by the smoker
I've been thinking something to that effect for a while.
That I do not know...though in that trailer we see her and Clem running from the trainstation...so there might be a fight.

It'd actually give her something to do beyond the expected mimimum.
Could be. Maybe that's also the reason why she gets kidnapped, as I assumed.

When's muh boi Louis gonna get in on this [party]?
He's probably busy playing the piano
See, I wanna link something here, but that would give the joke away.
Both of them even.
