Some questions regarding TWDG

Did Telltale want you to have Walter kill Nick in Season 2, is that why we got an off screen walker kill Nick? Same for Sarah, did Telltale want us to leave Sarah behind in the trailer, I mean why does she have such an emotional death if you leave her behind and her second death if you save her is such an afterthought?
Why did Jane get such shitty post-Season 2 flashbacks in A New Frontier?

  • I'm not sure but it's pretty maddening.

Determinate characters don't matter, that's why I kill off any character as soon as the option is available.

  • Except Conrad

  • Nick is an odd case though for a determinate character living on through the game depending on choices,i thought it was a really cool thing to have him around for so long even if his final outcome was poorly done.

  • Yes, Telltale clearly just wanted to be rid of Sarah and ironically Jane in those instances and so got rid of them in the most brisk yet undignified manner they could.
The juries rather vague on Nick, though.

  • Why was Conrad able to live all the way till the end of the season and then officially killed off?

    Except Conrad

  • what do you mean with, officially killed off?

  • I mean after he becomes a determinant character he lived on until the big shoot out scene near the finale. After he saved Javier during the explosion shoot out scene he was never given a choice to be saved.

what do you mean with, officially killed off?

  • Actually, Conrad only dies there if you fail to get out of the way of the truck.

Otherwise, he survives the episode and is alive & well at the end of From the Gallows, thanks in part to a final [determinant?] death for him being discussed but never implemented due to resource concerns.

  • So he can live until the very final moment of the ANF finale?

  • Yep, he can survive the whole and deliver the moral doing so.

  • Conrad is the exception that proves the rule.

    Except Conrad

  • The character who lives but adds nothing to the story. How does he matter, really?

    Except Conrad

  • Because Telltale doesn't know what to do with determinants, at least when it comes to The Walking Dead. Out of all their games, they seem to do the worst with the title that got them here.
As for the Jane flashback, well, Telltale has favoritism, they will put some characters in good light and others in bad, it's something unfortunately a lot of stories do.

  • Which is funny, because one could've been more than forgiven for believing there was obvious favoritism for her beforehand.

  • Because he has an actual arc after he becomes determinant and delivers the best line of the entire game...Sure he could have had more screen time especially in episode 5 but considering only 2% of people kept him alive till the end, im pretty impressed with what they did with him

  • Except for Ben Carley Doug Tripp Conrad Gabe Kate David and Alvin (kinda) they did a great job with all those characters, gave them a solid amount of screen time while letting their character grow...They don't affect the story in large ways but you still get a lot more on their character keeping them alive rather than killing them

  • Not to mention that the tangible focus of his character arc was more or less resolved in Above the Law, meaning the rest of his screentime was him recovering from that.
