Violet, I put all kinds of work into Violent, so I figured that had the best chance of paying off there.
I appealed to Louis because I felt him and clem have a better relationship And also because he is marlon’s best friend which made me think he had a better chance getting through to him

For those who have seen both endings, which did you like more? I’ve only done gioket’s but she ends up pulling out her knife and standing in front of Clem which was badass
I appealed to Violet. I was going to go for Louis, but then I recalled that he was Marlon's best friend. In the moment I was thinking that since he's his friend, he'd probably have a harder time believing Clementine, so I thought Violet was a safer bet. Also, she had a strong connection with one of the sisters, which means what Marlon did would have been way more personal to Violet, which could definitely help in convincing her.
Violet. We went fishing together so I thought that would give me an edge with her. Plus she is also a female who could be traded off and she was close to twins so I feel like she had more stake in the game.

In that moment I figured the person that my Clem had spent the most time with trying to get to know would back me up. So I chose Louis.

Btw, does anyone know what happens if when Violet says "I don't know you Clem" at first if you respond with "and now you never will" instead of convincing her more? I assume you get shot in the head, or Louis steps up for you but I'm not sure.
You don't get shot or anything, you can still convince her further
Initial playthrough I appealed to Louis, but I definitely get why the majority appealed to Violet. I'm assuming it's determinant on who you chose to hunt with. That's the assumption anyway.

I appealed to Violet because I knew Louis was a close friend to Marlon even before the outbreak so I figured I might've a better chance convincing her.
Louis. It's obvious he has a crush on Clementine, and he was the one I spent the most time with, and the one I liked the most, so it was a no brainer. I didn't really have that many positive interactions with Violet. I don't like her attitude
I appealed to Louis after going with Violet to fish, and Louis still stood up for me.
I appealed to Violet first, then I reloaded and appealed to Louis to see what would happen, then the game autosaved literally as soon as I hit the button so I had to replay the entire episode to appeal to Violet again.

Yeeeeep I enjoyed the struggle of being impatient while also trying to make sure I didn't skip over any side choices/activities, thereby making me restart the episode. Again. I was one of the people who was always glad that there was a rewind function, so to say I was butthurt would an understatement.

I think this choice is pretty much bound to the fishing or hunting one. At that time I didn't want to deal with Violet anymore because of that bad initial first impression so I went hunting with Louis. In the end I also appealed to him.
Nah. I went hunting, appealed to Violet. I honestly don't think it matters who you appeal to as long as you pick the right dialogue options.
Oh no, obviously you can appeal to whoever you want. I meant, in the player's mind, I invested time in Louis with the hunting so it seemed logical to me that he would be the better person to appeal to. I'm curious what were your reasons to appeal to Violet? Haha

I would've preferred to appeal to Aasim... The guy Clem saved at the beginning and therefore owed her. But the game limited my options so I just went with Luis because he seemed way sweeter and caring than Violet.
I would appeal to violet after going fishing with her. And I think violet standing up for clem was better and cooler. Violet immediately took out her weapon and ordered marlon to drop the gun. I thought that was badass.
