Clem bisexual

Why do people care so much? It was never said if she was straight or bisexual so why are y’all saying “they’re just doing it for representation” when they could have envisioned clem being bisexual a long time ago? You don’t even have to date Violet so her being bisexual won’t even be something talked about in the slightest if you date louis or no one. Get over it. She’s bisexual. It doesn’t ruin her character. She’s still Clementine. The only thing now is that she also finds girls attractive. It’s not the end of the world.

  • I mean id be surprised if a character wasnt bisexual these days its just the in thing right now for a character

  • Because it's a cop out. In anycase we don't know yet. No one is sure if there is even going to be a romantic thing for Clem. Just wait until it happens and then talk about it please.

    God bless everyone.

  • At the end of the day Clementine is reflected form the choice of the player, so she could be anything, getting angry for a fictional character is not worth it.

  • Her sexuality is whatever we want it to be. Haven’t made up my mind yet whether I want her to be bisexual, doubt I’ll go that route cos I don’t want to hurt Louis’s feelings but if there’s a way to show it without flirting with Violet then I’ll probably express it at some point. But clementine is our character, her preferences and personality are practically ours to choose, therefore she isn’t straight, gay or in between, unless we want to choose which one.

  • I agree. This is telltale giving us more choices, if anything people should be happy

  • I just played episode 1.

Where is it said she's bisexual?

In any case, I have chose Violet on every occasion because I play as I would if Clem was myself. And I like girls

  • Anyone can choose what Clementine is going to be. If you want, your Clem can be 100% straight. If you want otherwise, you can make her bisexual. So yeah it doesn't make sense to debate about her sexual orientation if it completely depends on the player.

  • it doesnt matter it is the last season anyway

  • I think she’s gonna be bisexual no matter what but players who go with Louis or nobody won’t even learn about it and it won’t be talked about. No matter what sexuality she is, she’s still Clementine. Idk why people think it’s her whole character or something.

  • There might be romance options in episode 2 where you can choose louis or Violet based upon some achievements for the next episode. Which means she’s probably bisexual if she has to choose to date a boy or a girl.

  • Have i missed something? Where in episode 1 does it even imply Clem likes girls (Violet) or whatever?!! Anyone elaborate on this please?

  • I remember a long while back I said I'd ship Clementine with the first appropriate girl I could find and the response from the writer was " why should I care?"

  • Achievements and leaks heavily suggest there will be romance options with both Louis and Violet in episode 2. And it’s implied that Violet likes Clementine when Brody says “I haven’t see her warm up to anyone ever since the twins died” and if you say you had feelings for Gabe, Violet looks a bit sad about it.

  • Eh, honestly, it doesn't matter one bit like everyone else is saying. I myself am bi, but my Clementine is definitely going to be straight. Just a preference thing, what i personally think would "fit" her best.

  • Well you could be like me and do multiple saves....I have save 1 for Violet...save 2 for Louis...save 3 for scumbag Clementine.

  • Thats exactly what i do exept save 1 is good clem, save 2 is asshole clem and save 3 is silent clem lol. I did the same thing for Lee in season 1

  • No.

  • What people fail to see here is a simple truth. No, she's not bisexual. No, she's not homosexual. No, she's not heterosexual. She is whatever we will decide she'll be. It's up to us players and our choices to decide who our Clementine will be. There is no canon version of her and there never will be. Same with her orientation.

  • I really think the Mods need to fold these into one thread and close any new threads on the ships and about her sexuality. I do commend them for their fast eradication of the one thread that said Telltale was going to hell for having a gay character and having clem be able to date a black man....idiot does not realize that Clem is african american with mixed blood.

  • Isn’t she all african american? I didn’t know she was mixed

  • I'm just upset by the romance in general. Seems its the only thing this season has going for it and I don't understand why it was put in at all. However, that being said, at least the whole Luis and Violet thing offers replay value. I'm happy about that. I hate spending money on a game that I can't replay and it doesn't seem like any of the other choices you can make offer as much a difference. Just a shame its dependent on romance, mayhaps that'll change as series goes forward.
I've had problems with the idea of certain characters being bisexual (Bruce from Batman series), but Clem certainly isn't one of them. Just as I had no problem with Javi being bisexual. (I even shipped him with essus well before we found out he could be bisexual. I also get that it was a bit of a shock for some players though.) For me, its all about the character I guess? If it fits, it fits, if it doesn't, it doesn't. Clem has never rly had romantic experiences other than possibly Gabe, and that's definitely not in every play-through, so I don't see how it wouldn't fit.

  • So agree on replay value in games. Like how everyone raves that Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild are all that, but it wasn't until Odyssey had multiplayer that I could even begin justifying purchasing either.

  • Just wanting to make sure everyone knows, you DON'T decide Clem's sexuality, if there's a possible route in which she dates a girl, she's bisexual because she is capable of feeling attraction to a female, and obviously we know she can feel attraction to boys thanks to Gabe, so at this point she's either Bisexual or Straight. You maybe decide Clementine's actions, but no who she is and what she's capable of feeling. There's nothing wrong with her being bisexual and you all should already be in peace with it, if you don't want it to happen, just live with it. It's funny how the same people who say they're tired of threads about romance that will not help the story or the plot are the ones who make threads complaning about if a character likes a girl or a boy. Just let it slide..

  • Slight nitpick - she may be bi without being bisexual.

And if it includes some of those "Sexuality isn't determined by DNA" arguments, please tell me in DM, there was already a thread with a talk like that one.

  • Dude your clem will only be bisexual if you want her to be, do not need someone to tell you if she is or is not you who will decide during the course of your game.

  • Clem's sexuality is completely DETERMINANT, she can be either straight or bi, nearly everything when it comes to Clementine's personality and characteristics is determinant at this point.

  • Honestly, I'm amazed how difficult it is for some people to grasp this very simple concept.

  • Bi can also mean "biromantic" - as in, who you'd date. "Bisexual" means who you'd have intercourse with.

  • Still not sure why Violet would look/get upset if Clementine admitted to liking Gabe. (Mine did)

Clementine could be bisexual for all Violet knows. She could have liked Gabe and still be into her. Violet shouldn’t get discouraged just because Clem admitted to liking a boy. It doesn’t have to be just one or the other.

  • Bisexuality for game characters are so versatile, most games with romance options do this. However, it's not our characters who are bisexual, it's what we want them to be. You can be hetero, homo, asexual, etc because the devs give us options.

  • While I would love to say Clem is a lesbian I try to be realistic.

Duck ( bugs on the pillow/ teasing him signs of childhood feelings )
    Ben (definite crush)

    Season 2 we controlled her

Gabe ( I have no idea if there's a way to make Clem actually not like Gabe.)

If I had to say Clementine had a female crush it would have been Jane. I especially liked her calling Jane AJ's other mom ( goddammit Jane) but I admit this is only headcanon based on circumstancial evidence.

  • I see it as she has two people she is interested in so she is bisexual but I guess if you do a playthrough where she isn’t interested in Violet maybe she isn’t bisexual? Idk. I can see both sides but I don’t see why people are so angry about it. If she’s bisexual no matter what it won’t even matter at all for people who just don’t date Violet
