Did you go hunting or fishing, and why did you choose what you did?
If you're running multiple saves, answer by your first one.
I went hunting because the way Marlon described the situation, considering it lucky if Louis even showed up, I thought Aasim would need help more than the girls would. He was confident Violet and Brody would both go fishing, even if he was concerned about them getting along.

I would choose to go fishing so I could spend more time with violet and because fishing is peaceful and quiet.
There's a thread about this already, but I think you title/question is stronger suited.
The playthrough I was given had them go fishing, which I actually think I would've done.
You were given? What do you mean? Did you not play it yourself?
He or she probably watched a playthrough on youtube
"They might not get along" sounded more interesting than "I hope Louis shows up"
Edit: Yea, I went fishing which is definetly the better choice considering what you get out of it compared to going hunting
Well i was able to put two and two together at the beginning of the episode and realised there was a lot more to Violet than her simply "becoming friendly" with Clementine. I figured I would test the waters with her a bit to see what she was like considering I already got a pretty good idea of Louis already.
Ultimately i still don't know who to choose as my "Romantic Interest" next episode. I need to know more about both of their characters but i don't know if we will actually get a fair amount from both sides.
I asked someone to give me a link with specific conditions so I'd be up to speed and @Kennyshouladiedins1 gave me one...albeit, with an opposite major/character choice.
I went fishing because easier cat skull + gayness + two interesting characters instead of one interesting character = better option, although I would like a separate save for going hunting.
On top of that, not that I knew at the time, you can more fish than there are rabbits to take back.
I went hunting, but it seems like the game is a bit biased towards the fishing route. Only slightly, and it's not a bad thing, but you do get more out of the fishing scene than out of the hunting scene in my opinion. Especially considering what happens later.
Still, I enjoyed hunting the rabbits, though I missed twice (pathetic, I know) because I tried to aim with left stick and didn't read the message.
As to why I chose that...I chose it on a whim tbh. I didn't really have any strong feeling of any kind towards any faction (Louis/Violet), so I just chose what sounded more fun.
As for choices, I hunted with Aasim (and failed miserably) and freed the baby bunny.
Went fishing. Didn't feel like picking up Louis's slack/subjecting myself to more of his clumsy come ons, figured Violet wouldn't be trying as hard.
Yeah, the story had actually been pretty sparse with Violet at that point and Brody lacked any real establishment and interaction with Clementeen at that point, so it kinda feels like they earned that choice, if for no other blind reason than to be fair.
The alternative playthrough I saw had them do the opposite, so I'll have see that later.
That's fair.
Honestly, while I obviously liked Louis and Assim more than Violet and especially Brody at that point, I didn't really feel much pressure to pick between the objectives.
I went Hunting. Killed ‘sum wabbits’ with Aasim.
Fishing. Reasons why in this order.
i went hunting with Louis and Assim... and then reloaded three times because i couldnt hit the bunnies so i left the game and continued the episode up until i manage to actually hit those shots.
Do'h, you friggin timelord!
To spend time with Violet only ever. The only reason I'd consider going hunting to make Luis understand I don't like him like that.
Hunting... Because I thought Louis will not come when Marlon said that so I want to give Aasim help, I also want to know more about him...
Hunting cause like you said, Marlon described the situation and if Louis really didn't show up, it would've just been Aasim. Meanwhile, the issue with Violet and Brody was jus them getting along, it's not like there was a chance one was going to end up alone. Also I like Louis a lot lmao, wanted to be with him too.
Went hunting and hit a walker piñata lmao that was a fun scene tbh
