When will Telltale make games like those.
The story of LiS is the best one i've ever seen. Telltale is nothing compared to LiS in the story. I have played every good telltale games exept minecraft and i have to say LiS is just better so Telltale take some notes. Dont even switch to Unity switch to Unreal Engine. Episodes are even longer im disgusted and disapointed in telltale because they dont make episodes and stories like LiS...

You understand that Before the Storm used Unity right? I love LiS...but some of the dialogue can be cringe filled....and Voice acting is way better in Telltale games than LiS. The one thing I will give LiS props for is delivering the feels.
No i havent played before the storm but i will very soon.
I finished LiS just today 6 AM played all night and the emotions i had were wonderful, never experienced anything like that in telltale games. Now i cant stop thinking about that game. Do you think its worth playing bts after completing lis 1?

Have you not played TWD S1, TWAU, TFTBL, or even both seasons of Batman? The story of LiS is written poorly and has numerous plot holes and one dimensional characters. For all the crap I give games like ANF for being paced too quickly, LiS suffers from the opposite problem and drags FOREVER.
Okay, fine, your opinion, but how can Telltale take notes if you don't properly expand on WHY you think that. Make your argument with actual points, don't just shit on Telltale.
The first episode of The Final Season was 2.5 hours long, which is about the same as most LiS episodes. And unlike a lot of LiS episodes, Episode 1 EARNED every single second of its time.
I like LIS too but it's not that good. Pretty overrated. But for real, there's no need to compare Telltale games and Life is Strange. Both are good and both can be enjoyed without shitting on the other.

Yes i have played that Telltale games and they aren't that special to me like LiS is. The only games that touched me was Batman s2 and twd s2, those are it.
I wasnt even trying to make any arguments or fights i just wanted Telltale to improve and be better.
That first episode of twd s4 will probably be the longest like in the batman the enemy within episode 1 and then they will get shorter and shorter.

You want them to make a cringy teenage drama full of dimensional characters with terrible voice acting and endings that destroys every single choice you made through game, making the whole story pointless? Their Stranger Things project might be your dream that comes true.
Best? Bloodborne had a better story than this cliched story full of cringy dialogues. Yes, I am crazy comparing a story-driven game with a Dark Souls spiritual successor , don't even ask.
You're only saying that because you don't want to admit its flaws like Max's powers coming out of nowhere, Chloe Price's character, the endings, plot holes, the villain etc.
Again, both seasons of Batman, TFS so far, and all the other games I mentioned previously.
Yes, I did, I have an entire play through of both Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm up on my YouTube channel. I also plan on doing the free Captain Spirit DLC at some point. Although I'd imagine, based on the quality of the previous games and the fact that this one involves a young kid, I'm going to need a great deal of alcohol to get through it.
Okay, fine, again it's your opinion. My opinion, LiS had almost no emotional impact on me whatsoever, the tiny exception being the Kate scene in Episode 2. All those other games I mentioned did a better job of not only investing me in it's story, but developing it's characters (and actually making them likable).
Then why make the thread. Clearly you did want to make an argument (that being Telltale should try to be more like Life is Strange) but you failed to list your points as to why you feel this way that didn't involve crapping all over Telltale.
As do I and everyone here, and there's legitimate things to criticize them over. God knows I've been doing that for the past year with ANF and the horrible management of Kevin Bruner. But saying that and you saying "Telltale is nothing compared to LiS" and "im disgusted and disapointed in telltale" are different things.

i don't know why do you think that LiS have terrible voice acting, its actually pretty good the only thing that i noticed is lip sync. It's not entirely pointless, you can save Chloe at least which i did, dont even ask why i dare you.
Speaking of terrible voice acting i think that Clem in s4 has that. I liked it in s1 and s2.

I’m hyped for life is strange season 2, but I’m not spending $40 on it especially since the other seasons were half that.

Its definitely worth 40$ because you know the game will be long approximately 19 hours, at least for me.

The graphics are better and it doesn't look like scrapped crap in twd final season.

You can see voice acting and music in those videos, right now i got feels just from watching it.
It has more interactions with world and friends than any other telltale game.

I'm sorry, you're entitled to your opinion, but this just isn't true at all. I'll say that there are things Telltale could learn from Dontnod but comparing the writing, I very much prefer Telltale's. And this is coming from someone who enjoyed LiS far more than they think they should've.

Glad to hear the civility. If you dont mind me asking though, what exactly is the point of this thread? It seems you want to lecture Telltale on the benefits of taking inspiration from Life is Strange but you don't really give any constructive criticism besides saying that you prefer LiS.
Honestly, i just completed LiS and i was disappointed in Telltale because they didn't make games good as LiS.
I was curious what other people think, do they prefer more LiS or telltale games, perhaps even compare which one did the best as i compared. I have even stated some "arguments"
But mainly i wanted Telltale to be good as Dontnod and i was disappointed they aren't because i like those kind of games.
In my opinion Dontnod is better and the game they made LiS was masterpiece.

Oof. Are we shitting on Life is Strange? Hell yeah shaka bruh. Thats totes super amaze balls! In all seriousness the writing in life is strange (season 1) is...not good. The story is something else entirely though and up till episode 4 its quite good. Really good in areas, but episode 5 is a fucking joke, and after a lazily put together laughably bad nightmare sequence that leads to nothing and 2 choices that mean fuck all I didn't care anymore. Your entitled to your opinion, but so am I. That last episode is a fucking joke even compared to the worse of telltale. But as for some positivity! Before the Storm was pretty darn good and I'm liking from what I played of captain spirits, so yay their learning!
LiS is def my fav game. BTS was better than the original too. up until i played LiS, TWD S1 was my fav. i've had wolf among us forever but haven't got around to playing it yet. not expecting it to surpass LiS, but i'm sure it's still a great game.
LiS was just magic on many levels because of the subjects it dealt with. most games don't touch on that. dealing with abandonment and loss of a parent and loneliness and depression is kinda the same reason TWD S1 was so emotional for me too.
haven't played captain spirit yet since i can't find a download link to a non steam version for pc. it shouldn't be this hard to find a free game online. ;(
You know that you can download it for free on steam right? Its just a demo still so its like 1 hour long.
Tomorrow we get to see more info on LiS 2.
But of course everyone would recommend Telltale over LiS because im asking this in Telltale community, if i asked it in LiS community everyone would recommend LiS, simple as that.
yah i know. i was just looking for a non steam download but i dont think it exists. i'd kinda be fine watching it on youtube but they said the choices you make in captain spirit would effect LiS2 so idk.
Is there a specific thing you play on?
my pc with steam won't connect to the internet atm. i was thinking about downloading it onto my steam acc with my laptop then just moving the file over to my pc but i don't think it'd work. i also tried looking for a crack but it doesn't exist because the game is free and ppl don't crack free games.
