Clem shouldn't obsess over Lee
She knew him for 3 and a half months. But Christa took care of her for almost 2 years. Same with Kenny or Jane.
It's been 9 years since Lee died at this point. And he only taught her 3 things. Just kinda bugged me that she got sad about Lee but never anyone else.

She gets sad about Kenny and others, but Lee will always be important because he's the one that rescued her. If he hadn't came along she would died there at her house, either eaten by her babysitter turned walker when she got so hungry she couldn't resist looking for food, or starved to death in her tree house like the little boy in the attic of the house in Savannah.
^^^^ what they said
Oh heck ive been bamboozled
Well, the most important (remembered) part of the memories is the one which caused the most trauma. So yeah, for a child who suddenly must confront zombies apocalypse, her saviour will be remembered the most...
I like your profile pic
I agree. Yes he saved her, and he was a great guardian. But she rarely even mentions her own parents. Everytime she mentions Lee, it just comes off as corny to me.
She did mentioned her parents in the opening episode of Season 4 though.
I know. I still feel like she should’ve mentioned them a lot more though. Not only them but other people who have taken care of her in the past. I will admit, they took a step in the right direction when she mentions Javier, Gabe, and Kenny during the card game.
She has gotten sad about others, but I think the biggest reason she gets upset about Lee the most even though she knew him for less time, is because he found her. He saved her life, and in essence became akin to a fatherly figure to her. He was the person who originally taught her things before. He taught her a lot, even if it wasn't said; she learned from how he acted, etc. So I think her attachment to him stems from the fatherly feelings he gave her and saving her life when he never had to.
I've already talked about this and I emphasized what, over how many. Lee took care of her as a complete stranger, and showed her love even when she betrayed him and went after the stranger, no one did so much for her as Lee did. And he is essentially the main reason why Clementine is alive 9 years into the apocalypse and why she can raise AJ successfully. So whatever Christa or Kenny did for Clementine in 2 years or so, simply doesn't match what Lee did for her in 3 months. Lee is therefore, without a doubt, Clementine's greatest influence.
Telltale clearly understands this, which is why they put Lee flashback in trailer for TFS e1.
It's just how it is, Clementine will obsess over him, she has the most emotional connection with him, and majority of the players feel the same way: Lee is simply an emotion/tear fuel.
I wouldn’t say she obsesses over Lee at all. If she mentioned him to people all the time then yeah i would agree but obsess is the wrong word here
Well said, couldn't have really said it better myself. I agree 100%
Lee did SO many things that Kenny, Christa, etc. didn't do in those two years or more. Lee had done so much and made such an impact on her in 3 months, and in two years, Kenny and Christa don't match up to that.
As razer531 said Clem betrayed Lee she even caused his death but even with all what she caused to him he still looked at her in a kind eyes hell look at his eyes when he was setting to the wall when he said will figure it out don't worry and the kind/sad look he gives her before she shoot (that I will never forget as much as I am alive) he always forgive her and cared for her even at his worst situations.
I think its a matter of guilt for Clem that she adore Lee more than any one she ever knew in her life she didn't do wrong to her parents and make them die she didn't do wrong to Kenny/Gabe/Jane and make them die (shooting Kenny/let Jane die) isn't Clem fault
So yeah Clem should totally be obsessed with Lee.
Even tho I agree with Dan Clem isn't obsessed with Lee in my honest opinion I think she mostly doesn't give Lee his Justice of credits for what he gone through for her.
To be fair this is an area where there's a huge disconnect between the story timeline and the shown events. We simply didn't experience most of those two years, which is why I beleive it was a mistake to have the skip at all. We can't bring Christa up constantly because the audience doesn't care for her the same way they do for Lee, Kenny and Jane.
Christa was extremely bitter after Omid took some candy to the chest, she kept Clem alive but that's about it Lee actually cared to teach her things and as for Kenny, he was more than a little unstable..
For Lee Clem was the most important person in the world. He always put her first.
Although I´m sure Christa and Kenny loved Clem in their own way, she was never the center of their world. Christa had Omid come first, and perhaps her unborn baby. Kenny had Duck, Katjaa, Sarita and AJ.
Plus Christa and Kenny were broken people for the majority of the time they spent with Clem.
Lee wasn´t broken (yet), so all she got from him was love. From the others, some love and a whole lot of crap.
So, in my opinion, it isn't so strange that she idealizes Lee, even if the others done more for her in the long run.
At least my Clem got to tell Kenny she loved him. I'll take that over anytime she mentions Lee.
