Right now, for sure it's Season one. But Season four seems really fucking good right now, so we'll see how it does in the end.

Season one was extremely emotional. Season two wasn't sad to me because I didn't shoot Kenny at the end, but still, the plot was incredible in season two. But yeah, season one is for now the best, it had the greatest emotional impact on me and to this day I can make myself cry if I watch ending of s1. xD
However, thanks to how great s1 and s2(but especially s1) were, plot-wise and emotion-wise, I am fully convinced that Telltale will exploit that in TFS, and make it the most emotional and greatest season of this incredible series.

when u play s2 u obviously already played s1 so u know its some special shit

With TFS, i have the feeling it could end up in a similar situation like Better Call Saul, the prequel to Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad is held as one of the best tv show of all time, for good reasons. Better Call Saul is currently on going and with each season, it gets better and better to the point, where a lot of people actually prefer it to the original.
Breaking Bad was first and build the groundwork on how Vince Gilligan (The Showrunner) tells a story. It also has nostalgia going for it.
But Better Call Saul is better made. He perfected his storytelling methods with this prequel to the point, where -again- people prefer it to the original.
Which can also be said about TWD: S1 & S4, if S4 can hold the quality throughout the season, because both seasons are really familiar in the way they tell their story. Both are slowburns that build up the action in a moderate pace.
Season 1 is the original that started it all and it has nostalgia going for it.
Season 4 could potentially be better thanks to sticking to a similar style of storytelling (lots of dialogues and hubs; less emphesis on action), but also by improving it thanks to improvements to the formular and the engine.

S2 was really good. They honestly could’ve ended the series at S2 because of how well done the endings were IMO.
