Is Clementine going to end up like Lee?

Okay so I know that there has been quite many discussions about possible ending(s) and foreshadowing of Clem's fate, but let's just look at all we've got right now. I don't think that the song Louis sang for Clem has anything to do with anything since it is just a song so I wouldn't really want to look at it as a possible foreshadowing. I would like to focus on achievements from 4th episode:

** - Goodbye (Did all you could)
- You and Me (Came full circle)
- Promise (Said you'd never leave)**

I think the Goodbye achievement may refer not to AJ and Clem, but to Clem and The School. The achievement for finishing third episode is called "Leader" which probably means that whatever we want - Clem is becoming their new leader. Since it's pretty clear that we will have a fight with The Raiders and I'm not talking about small conflict, but about a big fight that most likely will wipe out everyone from The School. In that case "**Did all you could" ** would make a lot of sense as Clem wanted to protected them, but she couldn't save them.

Why do I get a feeling that the "circle" we're talking about is the same circle that Lee and Clem had and now Clem and AJ has? That Clem gets bitten and she dies just like Lee making sure that AJ is ready to be on his own?

The Promise ending seems to be the good ending in which she survives, but still I don't think that it will go that good. I know it's a last season so making few endings would be good from Telltale, but c'mon people, don't you think that all this just is leading up to Clem dying either way? I mean I hardly believe that TT is going to give us an ending in which they both just leave and that's how it ends.

The ending of this promo is also seeming like it's going to end one way...

  • I hope not.
If Clementine will die like Lee it would be totally uninspired, unoriginal and disappointing.

  • Depends. I of course for once woule like to see a good ending with Clem, Louis and AJ surviving, but I'm 99.9% sure that both Louis and Violet will die. Anyway I just don't see it. I know that there was an interview with TWD guy that said that everyone will be happy about the ending and shit, but c'mon. Everybody says something like that. Not really any clarification. If she dies like Lee then well for some it may be a disappointing, but also for some it would be something special. Meh. We'll see in the december;(

  • Most likely, but it'll be a far less effective and emotional moment.

  • if Clem will end up like Lee then AJ will have to shoot her?
and that means TWD game about AJ?
    hmmm

  • Then 4-5 years from now, AJ will adopt a younger child serving as their guardian until he dies protecting that child as Clem had done for him.

  • Depends. The most depressing ending would be if all the people from The School die and then AJ either leaves Clementine to turn or shots her. I would be at least a bit happy if AJ kills her and then leaves with Violet and Louis like Clem left with Omid and Christa. But of course it would be cool to see a happy ending for once, right:(?

  • Since it's The Final Season then it's pretty clear that not only Clementine's story ends, but the whole arc since first season does. Another game about AJ would basically be Season 5 and a continuation of the story.

  • Everything basically is leading up to her die. There hardly are any happy endings in The Walking Dead universe. But of course I would be so glad if Clem, Louis and AJ live. But well. Not gonna happen probably.

  • Well if clem will die it will be kinda a waste of 4 Seasons

  • Not really. Everyone sooner or later dies. Let's just hope that whatever the ending will be, it will be good. Not necessary satysfying, but it will need to sum up the whole series.

  • i think the one who is gonna die is aj

  • After seeing how Clementine is holding AJ in that poster it’s a huge possibility .

  • Well it would still be emotional but not in the way I want it. I want a more peaceful ending tbh where it leaves the rest up to out imaginations but not a cliffhanger? You know?

  • is dying in real life a waste of life?

If you think about it, this is even more ridiculous and makes no sense.

    Clem didn't die for Lee.

The theme of S1 was parental sacrifice. And Telltale have made it almost nonchalantly clear S4 is a parallel and a callback to S1.

I guess Clementine's fate will be determinant, so you will choose if she's going to die for Alvin Junior or not.

  • you can't waste time if time dosen't exist

is dying in real life a waste of life?

  • The circle never ends

  • Idk, to me "Coming full circle" and dying at the age of 17(?) don't go hand in hand

  • I hope it means a new beginning for Clem and AJ is all.

  • well then this season is going to have 0 original thats my opinion

  • Honestly I don't think it would happen

They're not really hidden. It's not like they're leaks or something. If you want to check them then you easily can do it. I wouldn't really say that it is a spoiler because it doesn't confirm anything and we just discuss it right? Spoiling would be if I started talking about something that is already confirmed. It's a theory. Of course theory that is based on something because what is the point of theories that aren't based on anything right?

Anyway I doubt we will agree on this.

  • I think Clem is going to die. Everyone's luck runs out sooner or later and if they keep her alive that would be kind of bs in a way.

I don't know about you but I saw so much foreshadowing on her death throughout this episode. Your choice will probablt determine how she will die. Telltale Walking Dead Seasons always had one end goal for everyone (I feel like its to balance out people's choices so everyonr can have a fair ending).

Season 1: In the end, no matter what you do, Lee still dies
Season 2: No matter what ending you got, Clem will eventually be alone again
Season 3: No matter what ending you ended up with, Clem still leaves Richmond

Everyone still gets the same ending overall. You might have different choices but the end is still the same
    Remember its a interactive story.

Plus do you really think they're going to find like a new place to stay? And I mean permanently? Its the Walking Dead eventually people are going to get pushed out of homes and have to find a new place. Plus if Clem is still alive, you know how many people are going to demand for more games?

Are you really going to sit down and play like 5 more seasons as Clem? Honestly Clem dying would give closure to the series and everyone that loved it?

You might say that, "Its unnecessary for her to die since it would mean nothing". Actually that's not too if anything this is like a full circle for her. Lee died saving her and she continued on living. After finding AJ, she found a purpose and will protect him with her life much like Lee did for her.

Now I don't want her to die in a pathetic way, but give her a more honorable, noble death that's my only thing with her dying. If you're going to kill her off, it can't be in a pathetic way.
