Any PC Zombie Game that is Better than State of Decay?

Guys can you recommend a PC game that is better than State of Decay? Something that does not need you worrying about your community's supplies, health, food, etc. all the time. Just plain missions like The Last of Us.

    How about Dead Island/Riptide
    Theres alot story missions.

  • left4dead is my main zombie game that isn't really story based. im not big into the rpg thing where you need to like collect items and upgrade stuff or whatever.

  • Dying Light. It has the best FPS melee combat and the side missions are really good. The main story mode? Not so much.

  • Zombie Shooter by Sigma (PC)

  • Nothing but the least is Plants vs. Zombies by PopCap Games/Electronic Arts

You may try the game called Dead Trigger (You will need Bluestacks - Android Emulator for PC)

  • That's a toughie. State of Decay is pretty fuckin strong.

I do know that the entire Dead Rising franchise is on PC. 4 is pretty shit but 1-3 plus the side games are all great. You can save people from the community and kill psychopaths or just goof off and do whatever you want, and there's still story missions. Lots of different endings too.

    Prices:
    -Dead Rising - 19.99
    -Dead Rising 2 - 19.99
-Dead Rising 2: Cases Zero and West - Not available on steam but pretty cheap on Xbox Live and PSN.
-Dead Rising 2: Off the Record - 19.99
    -Dead Rising 3 - 29.99

Dying Light and Dead Island were also mentioned. They're not superb games but they're really fun and worth a play as well as fit the description you set pretty well, although they're both first person which makes you lose the third person perspective from State of Decay.

    Prices:
    -Dying Light - 39.99
    -Dead Island - 19.99
    -Dead Island: Riptide - 19.99

Project Zomboid is really cool although it's more of an aimless, top down survival game than a third person mission based zombie game. It's super challenging however so I'd recommend not jumping right in without context.

    Prices:
    -Project Zomboid - 14.99

Left 4 Dead is a great linear zombie shooter, but it's definitely enjoyed best with friends. Playing alone is still plenty fun though, the mechanics are great, the atmosphere is super present, it's just a great game overall.

    Prices:
    -Left 4 Dead - 9.99
    -Left 4 Dead 2 - 9.99

And if you want something a lil more old school, Zombies Ate My Neighbors on the SNES is a fantastic and super fun game. It's got a lot of charm and you can just grab a rom of it somewhere, which to me is super morally grey because it's not like Nintendo actually gives a shit about making their classics accessible lol.

    Really hope this helps!

  • Wait, 3 is better than 4? hell i'm gonna get me some DR3 then

That's a toughie. State of Decay is pretty fuckin strong. I do know that the entire Dead Rising franchise is on PC. 4 is pretty shit but

    1. Story-wise, which is better? 3 or 4?
    2. And Do you need to worry about getting some food in the Game DR3 (Like a continuous draining meter on your character)? or do you just need to worry about your health when you only get damaged from Zombie attacks.

  • Dying light, L4D2, COD zombies, dead rising 3. Although dying light can be really fucking annoying at times.

3 for sure. 4 is just a shitty rehash of 1's story without the charm and it misses the point completely.

Do you need to worry about getting some food in the Game DR3 (Like a continuous draining meter on your character)?

Nope. Just like the first 2 games, food is only used to restore health when you take damage.

  • Yes, don't ever touch Dead Rising 4, it's just a stupid cash grab for the 10 year anniversary of the franchise. All the features that made DR1 and 2 great were removed in this game which wasn't even made by the same team from the previous games.
