Why was their no welligton flashback for twd s3 ep4

I was hoping they add a flashback it would be amazing to see more of welligton and how it looks inside

  • I'm guessing they didn't have the time and just rushed what they could

  • That sucks I might as well go with kenny or Jane cause they get an extra flashback

I think telltale doesn't like so much wellington ending.... The scar the flasback, Kenny's hat....

  • Those were the days of laziness of TT...I was surprised they did another flashback for Kenny and Jane AND re-polished their models lol

  • It's sad because the Wellington ending is the most emotionally satisfying one out of any of them.

  • Cause it would've been too much effort to design an inner part of Wellington, aside from Clem's small room.

  • Because Telltale hates that ending. Also reflected by how they still haven't fixed the issue with the cheek scare in TFS, even though it's in the files, or didn't even include the option to go to Wellington in the story builder.

According to the wiki (which I know is a bad source, but I trust them on this), around 20% of people went to Wellington, which means a fifth of all Clementines are at least a little misrepresented in The Final Season.

  • ANF in a nutshell, smh.

  • Also, instead of making new faces, they just reused one of the New Frontier soldiers as one of the bandits who destroyed Wellington and killed Edith and Telltale confirmed that it wasn't New Frontier who destroyed the community. Now that's what I call laziness and bullshit.

  • I dunno but it's the same guy that Javier kills if you chose to give up to New Frontier in Episode 2. Also, he can be seen with Max at the gates of Richmond regardless if you killed him or not (Yep, another laziness and they though we wouldn't notice, SMH).

Yea, wasn't it a Lonnie duplicate?

  • You always get two flashbacks: One for Javier involving Baseball Kid and one for Mini-Jane with Ava.

You only get a third flashback if you were one of two groups who Telltale thought was shallow enough to accept 5 minutes of substanceless pandering(if you can even call it that) over using that time & effort actually telling the story that actually mattered they were supposed to be.

  • They were preparing to completely ignore it for TFS by not featuring a flashback in ANF.

  • Because Telltale dabbed on Wellington

By looking at the models for Kenny and Jane, when Clem was having flashbacks, you can tell from a mile away, both of them will be killed off. Comparing to Clem's model in the flashback, she was like 4K Ultra HD, while Kenny and Jane were like potato SD. lol
But Telltale's artwork is still pretty even for potato SD. If it was me, I would go beyond laziness, and just draw stick figure Kenny and stick figure Jane. lmao.

  • Dude, at least we got another couple minutes with our respective endings. We're not shallow for accepting that, it's better than the nothing we could have gotten.

  • Yeah, talk about .

What's sad is they could've just used an NPC from Prescott instead. We barely get too see them, after all

    Essentially.

It clearly is. A lot of the NPCs use the same parts and bases(Lonnie, Rafael, Rufus, etc.), particularly in the first three episodes.
Which makes me wonder why that just wasn't Lonnie if they were gonna remove the option to essentially kill him.

I don't know what you're talkin about; Kenny's was still a masterpiece by PS1 standards.

Oh, you mean the couple that should've also been in the premiere?
    Yeah, that's very nice.

Oh I'm really sorry, ya'll ain't shallow. Those two flashbacks are.

Im guessing it was probably due to the fact that there was never a plan for a second season 2 ending flashback, the only reason they happened was because everyone was pissed off about how they killed Kenny and Jane. The main complaint about the Wellington ending is it just fell, nothing about being mad over a character death (Edith.) Its just pretty clear these flashbacks are about Kenny and Jane, not the actual locations.

They wanted to try and patch and fix the mistake of killing Kenny and Jane by giving them another scene that gave them a "better" send off (Although Jane's flashback kinda sucks and both flashbacks are kinda jarring and knowing they both die and knowing behind the scenes the scene only exist because backlash kinda takes you out of the moment.) As cool as it would be to see how Wellington actually operated, these scenes are truly there because fans like Kenny and Jane, not Edith.

Kenny was a glimpse to what the future of gaming graphics will look like, during the NES era.

  • The premiere had already happened, I'm not arguing that the way they handled the s2 endings was lazy. I'm just being optimistic and saying that we at least got another scene with them by episode 4.

  • Meh, Kenny's flashback is actually more wasteful to me.
    Both were pandering distractions, regardless..
