Developers, do not make Clem's death the only final of the game

  • I don't see the point of her living honestly. Sending her off, like a final farewell goodbye, would be more impactful and emotional. If she's still alive then the series would feel so open and its the final season of Clem's story. If she dies then its giving the series closure

Telltale could also write an ending where she and AJ are alive and they could make it feel impactful, emotional and even provide closure to the Series. Clementine dying isn't the only way to close the Series

  • If she's going out, let her go with a bang. I wanna see her fuck shit up and let all hell break loose. I don't know how one could do that anymore than it's already been done, what with the zombie apocalypse and its aftermath, but she's gotta do it.

  • Closure I'm not sure.

Fans are just going to speculate until the end of time about Clem making another appearance if she's left alive unambiguously.

  • Why is this forum so depressing?

  • Fans still speculate on whether or not Lee is still alive. Call me crazy but it is true. There will always be speculation. If she lives there will be speculation and theories and if she dies there will be speculation and theories. People care about the game and love to come up with these ideas. An Alive Ending could give closure to her story. Clementine and AJ are finally able to settle down at the Boarding School and live relatively happy lives with one another along with the Boarding School kids. That is to me a good ending to a franchise that means so much to us and to Telltale.

Closure I'm not sure. Fans are just going to speculate until the end of time about Clem making another appearance if she's left alive unambiguously.

  • I don't like the idea of multiple endings and Clem dying in one. Determent is as good as dead. It just means they'll die later.

Clementine has to live imo. If in 3-5 years there is a clamour to see Walking Dead come back (there will be a lot of $ to be made) they need Clem to be alive. If she's dead, there's no possibility of Telltale making a load off it in the future. Unless they do prequals or have Clems death be a "dream"

  • If they want to kill her i just hope they don't rehash Lee's death or i'm gonna be fucking mad.

  • Honestly. Leaving Clem alive wouldn't be closure at all. People would still speculate and wanting more answers until another season comes out. To sum it up, the series will never end and will just end up like the show.

Clem and AJ (lets face the facts) will never find a permanent home. Eventually homes will get overrun by Walkers and then its "Welp its off to the road" all over again.

Closure I'm not sure. Fans are just going to speculate until the end of time about Clem making another appearance if she's left alive unambiguously.

  • Yup, determinant means death anyways.

  • Yep, and people asking her to be put in the comics or the tv show (lol).

  • It's all about how you frame it. It is absolutely possible to create an ending where she and the school survives. This is the final season, so Telltale doesn't need to put something in the end, that hooks the player into the new season.

We don't need to see every part of Clementines life, because we never have seen it before. The time we have spent watching over Clementine compared to what happened off screen through timejumps is minimal. I mean we jumped ahead several years between season three and season four and never saw what happened. They could've been attacked by raiders every hour, every day or every week. But in the end, it really doesn't matter IF something had happened or IF something will happen.

Honestly. Leaving Clem alive wouldn't be closure at all. People would still speculate and wanting more answers until another season comes ou

  • As ridiculous as it sounds there are people who I have encountered who think so. One person thought that the bite didn't kill Lee as it was a bite on his wrist and not on a critical area and that since we didn't see Lee get shot that he could still be alive. It is incredibly strange but there are people who think that. I myself do not share the same views as them. But really the point I was trying to make is that there is always going to be speculation even if Clementine dies, so keeping Clementine alive and having fans speculate about what she is up to isn't bad.

I mean Lee is undead if you leave him to be a walker. Don't think anyone actually thinks Lee is alive.

  • To be fair, that can just as much be on them not understanding how the bite [supposedly] works than anything.

As ridiculous as it sounds there are people who I have encountered who think so. One person thought that the bite didn't kill Lee as it was

  • That could be true. I don't know if they do or not. Like if they saw Duck die from the bite it is a safe assumption that the same would happen to Lee as he was also bitten. But, they still think that is not the case and that Lee survived. But the main point I was trying to make is that speculation will always be a thing. Whether or not Clementine dies there will be speculation on "maybe she survived" or something along those lines. Speculation is normal and the possibility of there being 100x more speculation on Clementine's whereabouts or what she has been up to should not affect the creative decision to keep her alive (That is if Telltale have decided that Clementine will survive The Final Season)

Sorry for the long confusing post. I noticed that as I continue to type the sense and message I am trying to give becomes lost. Sorry about that

  • For the folks that say the only way to give this season a closure is to kill off Clementine because people would ask for more: It is NOT true, Telltale strictly named this the final season for a reason, people would need to have a lot of their brain cells missing if they really asked for more and actually thought that there would be more. There are ways to finish Clem's story without killing her in this final season.

  • You sound exactly like me. Are you a clone?

Not really. I never thought of the theme of the series to be just misery and dispair. It's not just black and white. Both the games and the show are often dark, sure, but they also feature a lot of hopeful moments.

Hope can't exist without despair, of course. It's a balancing act. You just gotta choose on what note you want to end the story and ultimately leave the player with.
