The Real reason Telltale is Ending TWD
Skybound has now made a videogame publishing arm. Making your own version of your flagship title undr your own publishing arm makes sense....which also begs the question,,,how long will TT TWD games actually be available?

I was gonna say something, but instead I'll ask for a clearer version of what that means.
Skybound...the company that owns The Walking Dead,,,has made a video game company of their own....so the license for TWD...probably is reverting back to Skybound. So how long will Telltale be able to sell their version of TWD?
Oooh, okay!
Good. That's clearer.
I could see Skybound just buying all the rights to Telltale's Walking Dead and sell it themselves or something, pretty win win for both, Telltale would just get a paycheck for selling the games many people already played and arnt expected to sell many more copies.
Maybe sublicense TWD to TellTale..but it is Skybound that publishes it if Telltale makes a new series.
Well then, I'll never have a reason to buy anything from Telltale ever again .
Oh maybe for you...but The Wolf Among Us S2 and a possible Batman S3...Stranger Things...I think I have quite a bit to look forward to. Hell the idea that more @Poogers555 Bruce Wayne memes could be coming has me thrilled.
I played TWAU. It was pretty dry.
See this is why I cannot take you seriously...because next to TWAU...LiS is a fucking desert
Ill have you know that I without trying to toot my own horn have an idea for Batman S3 that I think everyone would find to be lit af so imma need yall to make a an effort to convince Telltale to let a random stranger (me) pitch my amazing story-board to them cuz it would make them go "damn that boy got some good ideas." Please and thank you Mostlypoptarts must hear this idea before I die.
(and actually not being a meme I do low key wish I could some how pitch my idea to Telltale because I do actually think it would work really well with the universe they created. Poptarts please give me this if I cant have Rhys socks)
TWAU was pure DREK
How DARE you? Who do you think you are??
Maybe they’ll love your pitch so much that they offer you a position with the company, and with it, you get your own Rhys socks.
Yes, this seems like the best option now, impress Telltale so hard they need to hire me, and then I can finally get some Rhys socks.
You gotta help me Metallica, spread the world, "Let Poogs pitch Batman Season 3"
i never played TWAU or even watched a trailer for it. i got it a long time ago and still haven't played it. but i'm inclined to listen to a LiS fan. but you also like max so i question your judgment ..
arent there already a bunch of companies that make walking dead games? i think theres some kinda walking dead shooter game coming out soon. maybe skybound will make their own thats totally different from telltale.
On the first playthrough it is amazing, but after a few times, the mystery behind the murders fizzles out.
It sounds like you buy games just because you can
The fact you actually have hatred for her has made me question your existence Max is a sweet little angel in my eyes. I don't know why anyone would dislike her.
The entirety of that game was disappointing in every aspect of the word. The Wolf Among Us' worth is much less than that of a steaming pile of cow shit. That game is so vapid, it makes ANF look like Telltale's magnum opus.
"How DARE you? Who do you think you are??"
Someone with a good taste.
basically yah. if a game is hecka hyped and looks good then i'll get it. or if someone recommends it to me. i only got into LiS because it was recommended to me when i mentioned i like the walking dead game and they said it was similar. i had it for months before playing it and knew nothing about it going in. outta all the games i own i probably played like 6 tho.
and i wont get into the demon creature known as max rn bcuz i dont wanna derail the thread into bolivian.
.........How many games do you own ?? You wouldn't consider yourself a gamer?
i have hundreds. havent been on steam for a while so idk the exact number. and no i wouldnt rly consider myself a gamer either because i rarely play games. maybe a few times a month. and usually just something i can kill a few minutes with like l4d. thats one of the reasons i kept putting off playing LiS is because i dont rly like sitting there for hours playing anything. but since it was episodic i gave it a shot and did 1ep a day. ep4 was killer tho. took forever.
Realistically its just time to end Telltale's walking dead universe. Quite while your ahead before you water down what made the series great to begin with. Not to mention that I'm not sure how well future walking dead installments will perform without Clementine involved.
Music, Voice acting, cliffhangers, colorfully saturated visuals, options to explore, scumbag opportunities, Bigby’s wolf transformations, the fable bio’s, a lot of it just worked. Putting ANF above this is quite a statement to question
It could be, but they could still develope their own game and let Telltale keep working on theirs. Their relaitionship seems to be pretty good.
I mean, there is also a The Walking Dead game from the Payday devs coming up. There's room for multiple games from different devs.
Eh, probably just another person decrying quality of Telltale's other works to stubbornly prop TWDG up on a pedestal that's been broken for a good while.
Too late.
Man, I really don't want to see another argument erupt over TWAU. It isn't that good but it's certainly better than LiS and TwdS2. Bman S2, Tales, and TwdS1 are better though.
I’ll drop it, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Tales seems too goofy for me
Did ya play Tales tho? I hated the idea but it turned out to be one of my favorite Telltale games of all.
Not yet but I played Borderlands 2 a long time ago and wasn’t too fond of it, I liked the animation style but not much else.
