I'm quite confused about the whole situation. We have sources telling us that The Final Season won't be completed, then some saying it will be... and voice actors are tweeting as if they've been told it won't be finished. So, I don't know what to think.
I don't think the voice actors were told anything yet, they're most likely just going on off the news like everyone else. Pete told the rest of the Telltale team about it on Friday afternoon right before the weekend.

I hope they manage to get an official statement on the future of The Walking Dead out soon. No doubt they have a whole lot to deal with right now, though.
Yeah. I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic but for now it may be safe to assume that Tuesday could very well be the last new Telltale episode any of us ever play. I'm also saying thank you to many users who made my years at this community that much better, and you are included in that group. Thanks for the quality discussions @Lewsblake23 . If this forum goes to hell I hope to see you at r/TheWalkingDeadGame and r/TeamKenny

Smfh I think I'm guna have a seizure or a heart attack because of all this yes they'll continue it or no JUST TELL US THE TRUTH GOD DAMMIT WE REALLY ARE THE SUFFERED CHILDREN/ADULTS HERE!
Anyone else think it's a little suspicious that out of ALL the VA's who have shared their condolences on Twitter on Telltale, Dave and (more importantly) Melissa haven't? This may just be me reading into things a little too much, but their has to be a reason why Clementine herself hasn't said anything on the matter.
If they need some extra cash just to give the final two episodes some extra polish, they could set up a GoFundMe campaign or something. No p… morerizes or extra nuggets, like on Kickstarter. Just seeing episodes 3 and 4 completed in the highest possible quality would be enough.

I get the feeling that Lilly's VA is simply reacting to the news like everyone else. If anyone is clued into what is going on, it would be Mely. Who knows at this point.

Will the quality look bad? I mean I feel it might look bad. All they need is to polish it,right? I mean they need to finish this Last Season of The Walking Dead. I hope they do finish it.

You have to consider, though, that Minecraft was the only game after TWDS1 to make a profit besides 7 days to die. Telltale would've probably been closed earlier if it also tanked.
The Minecraft story mode game of seasons 1&2 were always one of my least favorite games. I never like them. Because of those games? We lost the chance of The Wolf Among Us Season 2 and Batman S3 becoming a reality.

Like @GSSalvador said, TWD s1 and MCSM were literally the only profitable Telltale games. Without them and the Netflix deal Telltale would have closed a lot sooner and we probably wouldn't have gotten even these 2 episodes of TFS.

Then you'd need to blame Tales from the Borderlands aswell or Guardians of the Galaxy or even Batman itself. Minecraft is probably the reason why we got Batman: The Enemy Within in the first place.

No updates. Just the same tweets and articles saying one thing or another. Pete let everyone go on Friday afternoon so I wouldn't expect anything substantial until Monday at the earliest.
Yeah probably Monday I guess. I hope to God that the final season is going get finished and finish Clem's story not to mention Violetine. I mean that is something to wondering and hopefully keep focus on.

This whole thing is completely disgusting, they tell their employees 30 minutes in advance they're all fired after being overworked for weeks all of them jobless now in an area where rent is sky high, these greedy corporate fucks NEED TO DIE!

They absolutely should. Who in their right mind lays off 250 people without any severance pay or paying those who have worked overtime?
This is how Telltale ends? Are you fucking serious?
A random anonymous ex Telltale employee showed up on reddit and revealed that most of the work for the season was completed over the summer and they expect it to be released. They also revealed that they worked on Wolf s2 and it was shaping up to be their favorite Telltale game ever.
Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm going to if it does in fact, end up being the last one. It's absolutely going to end on a cliffhanger, there's no way it won't, and I'm not particularly in the mood to get a case of videogame blue balls. I already went through that with Dead Space.
To clarify things, lead designer of season 4 confirmed on reddit that despite the game writing being complete, only episode 3 was 'far along' development, suggesting episode 4 has not begun development. He also confirmed that the walking dead team has been fired and the remaining skeleton crew is only to finish the Netflix Minecraft deal. They have no means of completing the game and also cannot legally release the script for the game. Sorry everyone...
The only decent compromise I can think of is turning the last two episodes into literal episodes; no gameplay, no choices, just a set course on how the rest of the story would’ve played out. But even that’s a stretch, unless most of it was voice overs with still images.
I want to hold on to every shred of hope there is, I don't want this franchise I've loyally followed for 6 years to just fart out and die in… more the middle of its final act.
Telltale, if you're closing for good, give your fans and customers what they deserve and finish the story of the character who has essentially become your mascot and icon.

i hope ep 2 ends alright and not with us being captured by raiders
Considering it's a halfway point for the season (or... was intended to be) it will likely end on a cliffhanger. Which sucks.
Ugh, if that happened and we get a message saying (clementine’s story will not continue) I’d end myself

We might have not even got Batman: The Enemy Within for that matter.
It's actually the last completed Telltale Game.
Yeah. You have any updates? I am still very hopeful over needs to be done. The Final Season needs to be completed once and for all.
Fuckers probably won't respond untill monday

For what it's worth, I'm still looking forward to the second episode, just hope it won't end in too big a cliffhanger, that would totally suck.

I really hope this ends up being true it would suck if it actually ended up getting cancelled.
This tweet was sent out before the Minecraft news got out.

Then I guess we have to wait for them to polish it then. If The Walking Dead Final Season is not cancelled. I hope it is true.
I wouldn't pay too much attention to tweets at this point unless they are from Telltale.
