Man season one ending makes zero sense.
Especially if you didnt steal from the car in episode 2. The writing was really good all season besides the last episode where it fell off the track horribly.

Most unpopular opinion of the century
It still made sense even if you didn't steal the stuff, because the others still did.
The Stranger was a psycho, his intentions didn’t have to make sense. He took clementine and we had to get her. The plot of S1E5 wasn’t too substantial but thereason was because the previous 4 built up to it.
Does the Stranger only work if you steal from the station wagon?
So he takes it out on the people who didnt??? Hmm complete sense
It should yes otherwise they should of had a second ending but lazy developing and writing seems evident.
Yea, while he's talking to the zombified head of his wife that he keeps in a bag he carries around with him. The ending to episode 3 made a lot less sense than this did.
It didn't make much sense if you didn't steal from the car and were a relatively good person throughout.
Plus the stranger is nitpicking select situations which he did not have a full understanding or comprehension of. If the stranger were in Lee's position, he'd most likely had made the exact same mistakes and worse since his action resulted in his family's death.
The stranger wont blame you if you didnt steal his stuff and if you saved Doug.
He'll then blame you if you let Carley to die to protect your secret
I recently played S1 and I dont remember that.
It wasnt a secret anymore though, Lilly told everyone that Lee was a killer after she killed Doug.
