A large part of it is likely brand reputation. It's not a good look for their series to go unfinished. Also, Skybound Games is basically a brand new branch of their company so it's a good segway into them actually developing their own games if they help finish a game that already has a lot of the groundwork done. And lastly, they've hinted that they would be open to making more Walking Dead games that are similar to the Telltale style so it makes sense to finish Clem's story and build up the good faith and loyalty of the fan base.
YES!
I'm really curious though as to how Skybound is going to make any sort of money off of this. I mean, they're going to be the ones pa… moreying the employees, and most likely publishing the new episodes, and they're not even going to charge those who already own the game? That means any money they make would come from people who haven't bought the game already and decided to purchase it once it appears back up on stores. As much as I want to believe they are just doing this out of the goodness of their heart, this is a business, they're not going to do stuff like this if there isn't some sort of gain for them, especially when they're going to be spending a good chunk of money on former Telltale staff to finish the game.
I think everyone is definitely interested in knowing the projected timeline for the final two releases if they have any current expectations or estimations. I'd also be curious to know if the studio planned on any future single player story/character focused games in the future, as I'm not really into multi-player games like Left4Dead. Sort of burned out, especially with CoD pushing out a new zombie title all the time lol.
I'd be sort of more interested in what challenges Skybound faced taking on the conclusion to a well known game series, and if they'll be keeping on any of the original team once the game's been completed. But that's just me. Great questions.
I have a few questions in mind although I want to hear your thoughts on them as I want to ask questions that are interesting and beneficial … moreto everyone. I have already written these questions down just in case the phrasing confuses anyone.
* Does Skybound have a target month for when Episode 3 and Episode 4 will be released? Like I know that Skybound wants to release the Episodes as soon as possible but judging by how things are going from your point of view do you have a prediction for when the Episodes could be released? I don't mean to put you on the spot by asking this so feel free to ignore it if it is something you cannot answer at this time
* What does Clementine and the rest of the characters in Telltale Games' adaption of The Walking mean to Skybound?
* How does it feel to take on the Conclusion to a Game Series that is loved and adored by millions across the globe?
That is all I plan to ask. Let me know what you guys think
Very interesting points Hope to see you at the AMA so you can ask those questions. And hopefully you get a response And thank you for the nice, kind words

Well I think they will make a decent amount. Many people wait for the season to end, and I think the whole Telltale closing really made people go "oh shit Telltale" and might make that spark come back for some people to buy their last game once it gets put back on stores.
YES!

Skybound is a relatively new and somewhat unknown game publisher with a new game releasing ( Overkill's The Walking Dead ). This amazing gesture has put them in the spotlight in gaming news, and with fans. I'm sure Skybound is hoping to acquire some of the Telltale fans ( as they are the Walking Dead's own game company ).
Before I knew more about Overkill's Walking Dead, I had been interested. If it had been single player stories, or even a co-op with story I'd still be interested. It's just a style that's been done to death, and even now has a new CoD zombies just released to compete with. However, even knowing I'll likely never touch the game itself, for what they've not only stepped in and done for us fans, but for taking in members of the original team that had been let go I'm buying it. I don't care if it's just to see the cover on my shelf. They've got my support because they supported my interests.

I fully expect all of you to drop a lil "ps please save Wolf S2 if you can" as its probably our last chance to have Wolf 2 saved (seeing as … moreSkybound is probably the only people who would try and pick it up if they saw there was a demand)
Do it for Bigby, he is sad and alone. He was there for us, and we need to be there for him.
1 like = 1 prayer
Yes! Louche and many others have been waiting for this series to finish so they've got off the forums to avoid spoilers. I honestly agree that they experience is 10x better when you can finish the whole game in like a week, as opposed to waiting. I mean the wait isn't as long now but it's the same thing.

Hell yeah, Kent really wished to finish Clem’s story, I am so glad he is able to. Kent was one of the minority, who didn’t constantly complain about Telltale, but actually expressed sadness over not letting fans know how it all wraps up(story). Here ve go
Due to some last minute stuff that just came up I will be unable to attend the AMA. I was wondering if anyone could potentially pass on my questions to Ian Howe and Kent Mudle? Sorry for bugging you guys with this. I was also supposed to ask a question for @AronDracula but now I am unable to. If anyone could pass on his question for him it would be greatly appreciated. Here is his question: What do you think about The Walking Dead A New Frontier? Do you think it should have been done better?
I am sorry for being a nuisance folks..
EDIT: It is a Christmas Miracle folks!!! I will be able to make it to the AMA!

Well, the AMA is over. It got more traffic than we anticipated and even made it to the front page of Reddit! Kent is gone but Ian said he might get back on later to answer more questions. I hope everyone enjoyed it and feels a bit better about the situation with TFS!

I just want to thank @VengefulKenny for being on point with the AMA and other things...an unsung hero these past few weeks.
Thanks that really means a lot! It has been my pleasure to do my part for this community and Clementine's story.

If they'll do it, that will be fantastic. BUT Skybound has no ties with FABLES...

Could someone ask them about the forums? What will happen to them?
Why would Skybound know/care about what happens to the Telltale forums?
Skybound is not responsible for what happens on a forum that belongs to Telltale.
Ah okay.
I'll be in bed when this happens(I work nights) so if anyone wants to ask my questions, here they are:
Do you own the rights to TWDATTGS now? If yes, is this really going to be the final season or are you considering continuing clems story?
Fantastic update: Kent Mudle, creative director of TFS, will be joining Ian Howe to answer questions during the AMA!!
