David and David (Life is Strange vs. Walking Dead)

So I can't be the only one who made the connection and it was exactly when Kate told David:

We are not your soldiers!

Chloe has a similar line to another David (her stepfather) in Life is Strange where she tells him:

Stop treating me and my mom like we're your family platoon!

And then I realized that the characters are very similar. Both served the military, both have dysfunctional relationships, with family or marriage, and both can act out in aggressive and even abusive ways.

  • Considering my name is David as well, I noticed this shit way back. And I still don’t know how to feel about that parallel, lol.

  • Yeah, I have no idea if it's intentional or not, but if it's a coincidence, boy did the stars align on that one.

  • It could mean two things. It's just a coincidence or Telltale was copying Life is Strange

  • I dunno, David actually had some leadership skills. I couldn't see stepdouche leading anybody.

  • which David are you talking about?

  • The not stepdouche one, obviously. ;)

  • They both also have a dysfunctional relationship with someone called Kate.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed btw

  • Ah, good catch. But I wouldn't say they have a relationship so much as she's one of his suspects when he's investigating Rachel's disappearance. Also, Kate's not family.

  • Good point, but still, what a fucking coincidence

  • Knowing Telltale, they probably copied LIS
