Good episode. They really splashed out for Rick's leaving party. Didn't feel like the usual low budget, later season episode. Governor cameo would have been great.
He was traded by Jadis to the helicopter people. Angela Kang basically confirmed this in an interview about the Jadis scene in the RV in the episode. It was Heath's.
My feelings are all over the place on the episode. But I am very disappointed they didn't add in loving memory for Scott Wilson. This was Rick's final episode of the show, but it's also the last every appearance of Hershel/Scott Wilson. I expected it to be added at some point this season and this episode would have been the right one to add it for, in my mind.

That is quite a bit of a stretch, don't you think?
she is in the same age as Clementine in Season 1
No, she isn't. I think she's 11. But even if. It's just the age.
she learned how to survive and how to use weapons
Who hasn't? Even Lizzie did.
she lost her parents (Rick is her step father) and brother
That is true, but also really non-exclusive for either Clem nor her. It happens to everyone and if you're a kid in the apocalypse, the chances are significantly higher, that you get the same "character-trait".
she will probably be the next protagonist of the show just like Clementine became the new one, replacing Lee.
That is probably not going to happen anytime soon. She will be important, but the role of a protagonist goes either to everyone, since this show is primarily about tone, or to Daryl, Carol and Michonne, since they got a hefty pay raise and a franchise contract.
I don't want to say, that Judith is not like Clem, because I definetly got a Clem-Vibe from her, but it's way, way to early to declare her as a clone.
Let's see:
* she is in the same age as Clementine in Season 1
* she learned how to survive and how to use weapons
* she lost her pare… morents (Rick is her step father) and brother
* she will probably be the next protagonist of the show just like Clementine became the new one, replacing Lee.
Totally not a clone.

I managed to avoid all news/spoilers until seeing the episode this morning, and went in 100% certain Rick was going to die, so I was chuffed as nuts that they faked me out.
Enjoyed the hallucinations, especially seeing Shane and Hershel (R.I.P Scott Wilson) again. Was obvious someone was eventually going to end up on the helicopter, and it was the only other real option other than killing Rick off.
The time jump was a bolt from the blue, but probably makes more sense than just having half a season or so of everyone mourning Rick’s “death”. Can understand having one movie to end the series, but not sure how they’re going to manage three...
I'm pretty sure that I wrote that Judith WILL be better than Clementine. And sure as shit she will. She is fucking meant to be a leader like her father was. She is a present and a future. Clementine? With all the respect to her, she won't write her name in the history of The Walking Dead world. Her story is good, but isn't really important when it comes to something bigger.

She raised a boy that unnecessary shot someone in the head and then didn't see that he had done something wrong. Not looking good if we talk about future monumental figure material.

Idk about that one chief. No offense to the little actress that plays her, but she’s literally 12 years old and judging off her previous performances she’s done, she sucks at acting (which makes sense because she’s so young but it still true nonetheless). Clementine was/is more believable because she’s in a video game and is voice acted by a skilled voice actress who has had many years of experience, so couple that with the fact the TT games has always had better writing, ultimately Clementine is simply a more believable (better) character.

Wow, you mean to tell me that they didn’t go ahead and kill off Rick, what a total shocker. I totally didn’t see that coming.
However, I … morewill say the announcement of movies is something I wasn’t expecting. I don’t think the idea itself is bad, but I’m not sure how the quality is going to be. Oh well, guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Judith turning into a female Carl with a little bit of Clementine thrown in there, I respect it.
Overall, a good episode.
Age doesn’t make her a clone, Rick’s age at the start of the show was roughly the same as Lee’s age, doesn’t make him a clone though, even though they are both protagonists.
Season one clementine could barely fire a gun (drawing this from the fact that despite seeing that amazing head shot at the school, she could barely hit her mark in season 2, and I doubt she got worst with time)
Clementine didn’t have a brother and her mother didn’t get knocked up by her husband’s best friend.
Will she be the next protagonist though??
might as well also point out that Judith was born into the apocalypse, still maintains some innocence from what we’ve seen so far (despite the years gone by) and from the teaser it seems like she’s befriended Negan, an antagonist, something that Clementine would never do, and the stranger doesn’t count, she didn’t know he was bad, Judith can see Negan is in prison so she knows he’s done something wrong.

What a crock of shit! The writers are that desperate they couldn't even kill him off, desperation of the impending massive drop in ratings , won't be watching this shit again

One thing that I really like what they did to Rick is keeping him alive. First off, movies, at times, have a lot more freedom than tv shows, since the show is sticking to a 16 episode per season and have to have the writing done within a specific amount of time. With Andrew Lincoln taking a break, which is completely understandable, they'll have some time to think. Also, which would you prefer for Rick, having him live on to do a walking dead story that possibly hasn't been told yet, or have him die in an explosion?

I want him to be still a good character. That being said - I don't want AMC to pull off some suckass story about him with lame excuse about him not coming back to his family for 6 years. Rick Motherfucking Grimes would do absolutely everything to come back to Michonne, Daryl and Judith. And as we see - he isn't back. What could have honestly stop him since AMC confirmed that he will be alive in all the three movies?
I think that those movies could suck and be simple cashgrabbers. I'd rather have my boi Rick go out in such a great way like in 9x05 than have him turn out to be a complete failure that will destroy my view on his character.
And his character - even though show had its worse and better moments - was always on point. Was always great and spectacular.

And why you all suddenly think that every major character should have some big death? Yeah, he fell from horse. That could happen. Even to the biggest badass and Rick's badassery is certinately on top. Whole 9x05 episode was good and if those movies will suck then I will consider helicopter scene as non-canon one.
I just can't fucking understand the fans sometimes honestly,i mean they wanted closure ok yeah i get it but this is terrible imo
imagine … moreif he died in that explosion, what a shitty death that would've been
Rick dying from a fucking piece of rebar, wow epic.
I'm not really sure about 3 MOVIES with Rick grimes, but i'm glad they found a way to keep him alive.
It's not just any character we're talking about here it's fucking Rick grimes, and after killing Carl they had to keep him alive and that's the best decision imo.

And tell me what exactly changes for the show? He there is as good as dead, because he left it FOR GOOD. All of them think he is dead and he basically is dead to the show at this point. There will be three movies about him? Good. I hope that they will be good, but I doubt it. I hope that they will give fans Rick & Daryl & Michonne & Judith reunion. Even if it would be just few minutes for it.
Me keeping in mind that Michonne, Daryl and Judith think he is dead and it is already 6 years and he still didn't find his way back... yeah, that kills me from inside.

Ok yeah this episode was amazing
but did you guys knew that Morgan,Lori,Beth, and Abraham were actually in this episode ?
That's right,they're the voices asking "what's your wound ?"
Morgan at the beginning,Lori before Shane,Beth before Hershel, and Abraham before Sasha.

You sir make absolutely no sense in any comment u write.
Hey guys, I just thought of something. Do you all remember Heath? What the fuck happened to him?
he left to play Dr. Dre
cause ur gaY
At the commonwealth. His disappearance can’t be for no reason.
Well, I have only watched until the end of season 6...
But I still do not see a series without Rick Grimes. Definitely not one I'd watch (if I ever get around to watching anymore in the first place
I watched the episode now.

It didn't show up when I watched. But maybe the recording skipped it. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks
Using that poor logic then every kid in the apocalypse is pretty much a clone.
You're not making sense either. How can Judith be better than Clementine exactly?

We don’t know that for sure. She’s raising AJ who could be an monumental figure in the future. We just don’t know yet.
She raised a boy that unnecessary shot someone in the head and then didn't see that he had done something wrong. Not looking good if we talk about future monumental figure material.
That’s why it’s up to us as Clementine to teach him it was wrong
I don't know man. I kinda have the feeling clem will be some sort of messiah at the end of the season. Leading the kids
Probably you're right, but there is a huge difference between leading some kids and leading a big major community.

So far I only see Carl. Bringing in some strangers that may be dangerous? Definitely a Carl move.
Since Rick is supposedly dead, do you think we'll see season 3 Michonne rear her head again? I miss her.
He is alive.
Yeah they have plans for him apparently, you should read this.
