After all those 8 years, the best leader in the history of TWD, the greatest character in the history of TWD and the biggest badass in the history of TWD leaves TV Series. What will happen to TV Series after tomorrow's episode
Even though I really didn't enjoy Season 7 and 8, Rick still was the person that kept me like the show. All his speeches, his important scenes. It was something worth to watch. I don't know how can they keep things going now...
I was thinking that to myself when they killed off carl. I hate carl in the show but his existence was important to Ricks “father letting son leave the nest” arc from the comics.
Andrew Lincoln was so incredibly superb in Season 5 and 6, I’ll never forget his believability.

I didnt even complete season 7. It was really stupid to kill carl, and now rick? The fucking protagonist of the show! They should be merciful and just put it to rest.

What. You didn't really think that I was talking about Clementine. Clementine has a long road to even be in TOP5 of the greatest characters in the history of The Walking Dead. I would even say a long road to TOP10.
Well, I wouldn't count AMC's character counterparts to be Canon because AMC's The Walking Dead is a different universe than comic's The Walking Dead. However I love Rick and I will not watch the show after he dies, he and other characters (that are currently dead) held that show alive, Daryl did too but after season 7... He's mediocre, to be honest he was never protagonist material to begin with.

Season 6 Episode 9 was like a fitting finale for this show because survivors fighting against of a herd of walkers instead of fearing them would have been a great ending for a show called "The Walking Dead". They saved their own community and they finally found a peaceful place where nobody gets hurt anymore.
I never even finished Season 7 (I dunno why Season 2 is considered the worst, this one takes the cake now) because it was boring and repetitive, Rick's group has been kicked in the ass in every single episode. When I heard that they killed Carl, who is still alive in the comics, I totally got convinced the show overstayed its welcome.
Rick (both versions), Daryl, Michonne (both versions), Negan (both versions), Dwight (comic version), Carol (TV version), Carl (comic version), Governor (TV series version), Hershel (TV series version), Abraham (both versions).
They all easily beat Clementine in terms of being great.
Clementine’s been locked up by cannibals, witnessed her group turn on each other, helped out when the adults got stuck in situations despite the risks, got her protector killed leaving her with traumatic guilt for the rest of her life, stitched her own arm after getting attacked by an animal, handled a strange intruder with confidence, was instrumental in getting her group out of hostile camp, walked through herds of walkers on multiple occassions as a young child, and...you know I shouldn’t have to explain all this, right?
If you honestly think comic carol and dwight are better characters then that’s just stupid. Not even regular stupid, but special stupid.

Dwight’s wife screwed Negan then he got his face melted and...what else is to him? He’s a coward who wants to run back to his ex wife and wants to take over Rick as leader despite chickening out on his own people. And he killed Abraham who was one of my favorite characters from the comics
Fuck, I did really write Carol's comic version? I obviously meant her TV version, guess I messed up while I edited the comment.
Dwight's comic version is a lot better character than Clementine.
Well no matter how much season 7 and ESPECIALLY 8 sucked...I am loving 9. As for Rick..from the start of the show I loved him...he was a good man...a decent man who always tried to do the best for his group. Sure he made some mistakes...he is not treated as infallible which is a failing in many many shows and comics.
Rick can get distracted and lose his way...but he always seemed able to spring back better for the ordeal. One of my favorite episodes is Nebraska...Rick Grimes saw through the bullshit that those 2 were spewing and shot them dead without hesitation. And when he killed Shane...it was intense when you could see he was letting Shane take him out someplace...just letting Shane have all the time in the world to not try and kill Rick...but when Shane made his move...it was over.
Rick is a character that you can one week be angry at and then the next forgive him because of course he had a plan...it does not always work..but he never did anything without cause.
And now he will be gone. A great character that will be missed...and major props to Andrew Lincoln...forever Rick Grimes.
If by development you mean 'writers and creative getting carried away with showing off her evolution' then yeah you've got that right. Making friends and mourning them isn't really more than Michonne and Glenn. Clem's evolution is so messy that its become a mockery of how people change at this point.
WOoooah she went through a lot! Shame we don't get to see that in her character. It's just a witty reference, being treated as so much less than just how devasting those scenes were. All the characters @MaikelRR_ stated, aside from maybe Daryl, have had much more genuine, authentic, believable development than Clem.

Season 2 is the best in my opinion. I think its ridiculous that people didn’t like it because it went too slow for them. Beside The Dying Fire is still my fav finale of any series too

Absolutely! I honestly don’t understand why people didn’t like it. We had the group trying to make a life for themselves on a farm, we saw the character development of Shane becoming who he became, Carol and Daryl becoming close, Glenn meeting the love of his life. I really loved the mystery surrounding Sophia’s disappearance as well as the group trying to decide what to do with Randall. Dale’s death to this day still has the most impact for me because of how sad everyone genuinely seemed and that his death was a consequence of Carl’s actions.
The finale had me on the edge of my seat. It was a fantastic season
In my opinion Season 3 was the best. It had me so pumped the first time I watched it. It simply was soo interesting and well written. Season 6 is also underrated in my opinion.

3 was pretty good and even the first half of S4 was good but i felt as though when they left the prison is when i noticed the decline. Episodes felt drawn out, by the time they reached Alexandria there were just far too many characters by S6 and i didn’t like the format of dedicating soul episodes to one or 2 characters. They felt like fillers

They pretty much went far away from the comics, Rick is still the main protagonist, Carl is still alive, Daryl is still not a comic character and Carol is still not dead (TV version is better than the comic version)
I'm so upset that Rick is going. I always knew it was coming from interviews where Robert Kirkman said Rick was always going to die at some point, but I feel like the show has lost too much of the heart of it now when he's gone. I've never read the comics, but I have read up on them and know the gist of certain things. The show had it's good seasons and it's bad. Seasons 2 and 3 were particularly strong in my opinion and I always loved Andrew Lincoln as Rick. He was such a bright light in a show where it could be hard to watch sometimes because it dragged or they changed the structure of the episodes. It was easy for me to love Rick even if I didn't agree with him 100%. I loved the dynamic between him and Daryl and he and Carl in early and later seasons. Him leaving will finish me with the show. There are still characters I love, but the heart will be gone and the biggest reason for watching will be gone.
I wouldn't call Rick the biggest badass in TWD history, his comic book counterpart is but as far as his TV counterpart goes, he's the biggest lunatic in TWD history.

It's best that Clem stays in the Comic/Game universe. Gimple couldn't even get the main show right and ruined a lot of characters including Rick himself, I highly doubt he'll do Clem any justice.

The show will eventually die down like it was always meant to be.

It was indeed stupid to kill Carl, but Andrew Lincoln is leaving the show so it's not like they wanted to get rid of him.
Goddammit, you tricked me!

This is a joke, the show is a joke at this point.

Long road my ass, she’s had way more development than Michonne, Glenn, and Daryl for the past 5 seasons

He's not dying.

Leading a whole army against The Whisperers. Forgot about that.
You’ll be waiting a good few years yet then

Thank You! Season 2 was excellent. So many great character-moments.
Beside the dying fire, Judge, Jury & Executioner, Nebraska. Such great episodes!

And trying to lead said army against the commonwealth, a real smart guy.
‘Making friends and mourning them’ is putting it lightly. I know this thread is a shrine to the show’s frontrunner but come on now.
You know the show sucks when even the main cast is leaving in droves
Both main characters gone... There is no point in continuing the show.
If only they were following the Comics.

I know I didn't far into the show(read:at all), but isn't that kind of the point later on?
I've heard rumors that negan is going to have a redemption arc.
My answer to the question of what to do is to write clementine into the show. That'd keep me watching until she dies.
Clementine is from Comic Series universe. Besides due to choices it is basically impossible to introduce her. And she wouldn't be anyone important in TV Series as there are simply too many more interesting and better characters than her.
And it's you again
Your reply makes no sense.
