I think the TFS model was to resemble her S1 look. But let's looks at how the design has changed over the years. And because it's importan… moret to the subject, I'm going to have to go down the Clementine-ethnicity rabbit hole a bit.
Clem started off as white in pic #1. When Lee was created, she was changed to better compliment him. As a result, Clem became black in some fashion (we can at least agree her daddy was black, right?). When S1 released, she was lighter. In S2, she tanned up a bit and looked more believable to be Ed and Diana's parents daughter. ANF rolls around and she looks like Mariana's sister. She lightened up. Her hair became less coily and more wavy/straight. Her nose shrank along with several other altered features. TFS comes to light and we see Clem looking like a mash-up of all the possible future looks (based upon the past models). With that said, she heavily favors her S1 design more than anything.

Thats a good point with Selina's model being changed, I found that to be really strange as it was pretty much a new character. However for some reason she relates to it walking dead and it seems like the obvious thing to say was Selina was changed.
Also its weird to take what she says too seriously when she denies how Kate was originally some young very white girl in ANF and said that it was "not real" implying it was fake, then saying it was due to the story being rewritten, but she in the past has said many times that she "had no idea what was going on with the ANF team" so you know...oof.
I can see this topic being locked pretty soon but I think it's possible that Emily might've been been talking about Selina, especially her s… moreeason 2 model. She looks completely different in season 2 and a hell of a lot more white and busty.
Another thing that bothers me & is fairly related is that Selina doesn't use textures without a full face of makeup. Even when she wakes up in the morning in S1EP3 she's got heavy eyeliner and full lipstick. Which is crazy, again, because they would have painted her base skin textures before adding makeup ?
I can also see the heels issue being a prevalent in the Batman games, considering Selina/Vicki/Martha/Harley all wore heeled shoes.

Yes, we Hispanics actually have "English/Israel names" quite often (one of my grandfathers is from Spain and he's a David, and one of my uncles is Brazilian and he's a Daniel). And some of use have freckles and light-colored eyes and are fluent in English if we're American. Crazy!

It seems to be working though. We're talking about it now, she's been at panels here and abroad discussing this stuff, she's done interviews, she's now a vocal advocate for unionization, it feels like she's constantly been in the spotlight. gonna be real, I liked that we played as 11 year old Clem in season 2. We weren't in control anymore, and we got more of an outsiders perspective on choices. Then I got to watch some white pretend he was Spanish terribly. That went well.

Honestly given that the people we mocked and cursed in Kevin's upper management for crushing creativity were the ones they had to work under, I'll give her a pass for spitting on Telltale's corpse (it seems like the examples she gave in this instance were from before Pete's takeover of CEO aside from maybe TEW). I've done stuff like that when I was resentful and spiteful in the past too, not going to lie. Sometimes I just assumed the worst in all of their actions just because I thought they were completely despicable. That might not be her case though, and I don't recall her history of doing stuff like this admittedly.

Here in Northern VA, we have tons of Salvadorians. We're basically New El Salvador. So with that, I agree with you.
Funny thing now that I think about it, I know quite a few Ricans who are very fair skinned and can pass as white. If you call them white though, they will cuss you out in fluent Spanish and English. lol I also know several Brazilians, Dominicans, and a couple Panamanians who you'd think were black until you hear them talk to their family on the phone in their native tongue. Then there is my sister-in-law who is Mexican but constantly gets mistaken for being Pilipino or Middle Eastern.
Hispanics are just an amazing assortment of colors. It's amazing at times the ones I run into or find out aren't black or white. You gotta love the human kaleidoscope.

Every project in every company ever goes through upper-management. This was just one of those things. Upper-management, as toxic as it might have been, just didn't like the character designs the devs came up with. This isn't nearly as bad as the terrible work environment forced upon the employees.
This is hardly something to complain about, and Emily Buck just wanted to find something else to complain about -- yes, she is rightful to hate TT for the toxicity in that company, but this is a non-issue to complain about. This complaint is something that is so fucking contrite it doesn't matter -- honestly, good on upper-management for making some of the characters more...appealing. It seems to me the "inclusive" devs wanted to create fat-lesbian-female characters just for the hell of it, not because it compliments the character in any way.
It's forced diversity, which is something I am diametrically opposed to. You want to add a gay character to your story? That's fine, as long as they have a personality (aside from being gay), and are actually interesting -- don't add a gay character simply for brownie points. Create a gay character because they have something to add to the story -- another problem huge problem is when there are people who don't like that certain (gay) character, a very vocal minority of people will very likely freak out and call you homophobic just because you don't find the character interesting.
The problem is that designers were forced to change the designs for characters because some suit-wearing-upper-management-schmuck thought th… moreose characters weren't "fuckable" enough. It's also just one more example of how the upper management of Telltale took over many of the creative decisions instead of the devs who actually know what they're doing.
If you take TFS for comparison, it becomes more obvious, since they seemingly got to do their own thing with it. It just feels more authentic. I'm dreading the thought of what the characters of TFS would've looked like, if some stooge from upper management had any say in it.
