If anyone wants a new story-based game to play this holiday season for pretty cheap take a look at Night in the Woods.
I, uh... haven't played it myself but it's been on my wishlist for a long while now. The price just seemed a bit too steep for me.
It's practically never on sale but good news! It's on sale for 40% off on Steam and the PlayStation Store for the holiday season!
It's never on sale on PlayStation. I know. I've waited.
In Dark Soul 3, I was stuck at the Pontiff Sulyvhann boss, died like 8 times, took a break from the game a few days later and then when I returned, I killed the boss in one go. WTH
The X-Men films? To me, when I was 16 the first X-Men film was the bee's knees.
Loved X-Men ever since I was a kid. And despite the MCU films, albeit it more popular and well renown, I stick with the X-Men films, especially the first two, First Class and Days of Future Past.
But still a HUGE fan of X2, it's predecessor and First Class + Days of Future Past.
No one talks about them much anymore, but they are great. First Class is such a joy to watch.
Infinity War, Spider-Man PS4, the comics (aside from Spider-Geddon) and now Into the Spider-verse have all been great! Reminds me of when the Sam Raimi movies were coming out and everyone was on a Spider-Man high.
Just saw Aquaman. It was pretty good. Not the best plot, but the characters were pretty well done. CGI was a mixed bag. Some funny moments. A 7.5 to 8 of ten movie. Try and avoid sitting in the front rows in a theater, it's very heavy on visuals.
I finished Dark Souls 3 which is the very first Dark Souls game I've played. Definitely one of the best experience I've had and definitely a game for me if I love Bloodborne so much. But I gotta say, I was a little bit disappointed in terms of the lore, the characters, the level designs (There are some cool aspects but they get old very fast) and the final boss (Killed him in the first try, soo underwhelming). Most of the bosses were easy to defeat, some of them were playing dirty (Pontiff Sulyvahn, Nameless King and Lothric & Lorian) and some are kind of copy/paste of Bloodborne bosses. It doesn't really add a lot of replay value, I think I'll take a break from it for a while because my Christmas present will be Red Dead Redemption 2 which is what I'm going to play next. Bloodborne is still better than Dark Souls 3 in my opinion.
I still plan to get Dark Souls Remastered but I dunno when.
Well, ain't that sweet. Too bad I'd still need another 2300 or so to refill it.
Eh, might as well actually pay attention to what people are saying to me now.
Ahh nothing beats spending Christmas eating and drinking whiskey alone in an apartment that's looks like it's in a war zone while everyone you know is back home spending time with family and friends.
Y'know, everyone's got Christmas movies to watch every year to get in the spirit and fit with the theme of the season. But... We don't have many Christmas-y Games, do we?
I just remembered that there is a pretty decent one for the holidays. Batman: Arkham Origins. It's got a story of Batman hunted down by 8 Assassins on Christmas Eve, a wintery and festive Gotham City to frolic in (even more wintery in the Freeze DLC), and some great gameplay and boss battles for the series. So, I'm putting that on the list for next year.
In other news, I've reverted my avatar to how it normally looks.
Going to spend tomorrow going through the painful process of finding a new service provider. The one I’m with now is soooo bad, I can only manage to get up to 800Kbps and I spent the entire day getting kicked out of red dead 2 online, so enough is enough, idc about the early drop out charges
It's been far too long.
I'm starting Episode 2 now. (Yes, I'm gonna ping you, @MetallicaRules. I've told you this exact thing once before but didn't go through with it. Now it's for real. I've opened the application and I'm gonna launch it.)
Telltale's death put me off the release of Episode 2. Other games occupied my time. The longer I waited, the longer it took to return to continue the season. Well, I've finally pushed myself to do it. Here we go.
Ooh... First things first: The main menu's changed. It's all green and has the gate of the school. That's new. S2's menus only changed after every completed episode, to match the credits card, but this way hypes me up more.
Christmas has passed, and with it, there's new stuff to buy. Just ordered Metro: Redux, inFamous Second Son, Thief, and Titanfall 2. On top of that, I've still got to get to RDR2, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and, after years of saying I'm going to get back into it, the original Bioshock.
If you're a fan of Spider-Man, go see Into The Spider-Verse.
Or, maybe go see it if you're not a fan.
Just go see it.

BEST. ANIMATED MOVIE. OF THE YEAR.
No idea where it stands on my favourite Spidey movies specifically, but it's definitely now in the top 3 alongside Spider-Man 2 and Homecoming.
"Alright... Let's do this one more time."
BEST. ANIMATED. MOVIE. OF. THE. YEAR.
Oh my goooooood. The directors, animators, writers, etc. The whole team did an amazing job on this film. They set out to make a comic book come to life and they really, truly did it.. It's a joy, no, honour to watch as the colours, shapes and pure comic style flow off the screen into your eyes. Yes, I'm talking really weird but that's just how good I thought this movie looked.
From the very first image of the Official Seal of the Comics Code Authority (awesome) to the last jaw-dropping bits of the animated credits, it's fantastic, spectacular, and amazing all rolled into one. Thought bubbles, narration blocks [Meanwhile, Later, in Queens..., etc.], dotted art, sound effects, panels strewn across the screen, aspect ratio, camera angles... it's all perfectly laid out.
The faux stop-motion animation style might look jarring at first, but you should get used to it in the first 5-10 minutes.
The Music. My god, the music. I don't know my genres all that well, but the influences of Rap, R&B, Jazz, Synth/Lo-fi/Hi-fi/Electro, Dubstep, Rock, Punk Rock, Classical, etc. It's all there in full force and is incredible to listen to. So much of it complement the visual scenes so well (even the vocal songs don't interfere all that much with the dialogue). The Prowler's theme is my absolute favourite. Tense, awesome, dark.
The characters. While some may have been underused in my opinion they all shine nicely. Peter B. Parker is lovingly jaded, Spider-Gwen is lovingly compassionate, Peni Parker is adorably cute and interesting, Spider-Noir is broody in the best way, and Spider-Ham is cartoonishly cartoony.
The writing, the jokes, it's all so well done. The references to older S-M movies, the relationships of Miles and his family, the clever jokes that poke fun at common tropes and the character itself as well as good running jokes used over the course of the film. It's so gooood.
One small caveat I had was that the theater I watched this in was packed. Meaning, I was left with an aisle seat (literally), so the 3D effect only worked for about 3/4ths of the screen. Also, the audio quality wasn't all consistent, so some lines I couldn't understand as sound effects or music (or the volume of the dialogue) was drowned out/too weak. But, that's probably more related to my circumstances.
I am definitely watching this movie again. Maybe a third time. Oh, man I just want to experience it again because it gave me a rush of excitement and heroism. Seriously, as corny as this sounds and memey as this saying has become. This ending of this movie makes you feel like Spider-Man. I am SO buying this on bluray/dvd when it comes out. And I don't usually buy movies.
I give this movie anywhere between an 8.7-10 out of 10, with a certified golden medal for enjoyment. It's hard to believe the company who made the Emoji Movie followed it up with this well-crafted product.
There is no way they could have made this movie in Live-Action, so if you've got something against animated features, then you are missing out.
I'd talk spoilers (as there's one that I had a small problem with) but I'm keeping this spoiler-free for now. I'm open to talk about it more in detail if you want me to (in private).
Metro: Redux, inFamous Second Son, Thief, and Titanfall 2
Those are some pretty good choices. I've tried getting into Metro (I've got 2033) on my PC, but it's a potato that can't run it smoothly, and... the controls were a bit complex imo. How you haven't played Infamous Second Son is fascinating. It's the best (at least in terms of gameplay) for the series.
got to get to RDR2, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn
Well, you've got a busy schedule now. I'm pretty sure those are pretty big games. Haven't played any of them, but I've recently purchased Horizon and hope to get to that soon.
As for me, Sony has forced my hand to murder my PS4 wallet this holiday season (because they've got new lows and new cuts on games long in my wishlist). I don't usually murder wallets so this is kinda weird for me. I've got a lot of games currently to take in and play.
So far I've got a few games on the multiplayer side I've started: Alienation and Battlefield 4. On the backend for Single-Player later I've got The Last Guardian, Sleeping Dogs, Night In The Woods, and Horizon:ZD.
(That doesn't take into account the games I'm currently playing like Hitman 2, Persona 3, and the Spider-Man DLC.) Wow.
I'll go through one at a time, I guess.
Edit: @MetallicaRules Weren't you the one who started (or at least mentioned) Dying Light a few months ago? How's that going?
Christmas has passed, and with it, there's new stuff to buy. Just ordered Metro: Redux, inFamous Second Son, Thief, and Titanfall 2. On top … moreof that, I've still got to get to RDR2, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and, after years of saying I'm going to get back into it, the original Bioshock.
Some dickhead I know went and spoiled red dead 2 for me for no reason a while back and I just can’t get myself immersed into the story knowing what’s going to happen in the end. Anyone got any pointers for how I can still enjoy it or at least forget about what I was told?
Lol, with me having no family or friends around the only thing I've been looking forward to the past few days is what I'm gonna eat for my next meal. Luckily I'll be flying back home soon, so all I can do now is laze around.

You made a great comeback.

A good callback to the original Home Alone movie.

Now I reached the Nameless King and players weren't kind. This fucking guy isn't messing around.
From the looks of it, I wouldn’t want to mess with the Nameless King, but I guess he’s worth all the drops.

This is gonna be Orphan of Kos (Bloodborne) and Valkyrie Queen (God of War) all over again for me.
Man, 2018 has been a GREAT year for Spider-Man!
Infinity War, Spider-Man PS4, the comics (aside from Spider-Geddon) and now Into the Spider-verse have all been great! Reminds me of when the Sam Raimi movies were coming out and everyone was on a Spider-Man high.

Dat feel when you find out there's a new Jackie Chan Adventures show but it has nothing to do with the original series.
done

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make a shit internet less shit? I’m open to suggestions
Merry Christmas everyone! ?

I hope all of you have a great day today.
Happy Birthday Jesus

Ahh nothing beats spending Christmas eating and drinking whiskey alone in an apartment that's looks like it's in a war zone while everyone you know is back home spending time with family and friends.
That moment when it's Christmas eve but your present won't reach until December 27th.

Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays in general guys! It's been a rough year here, for obvious reasons, but take care anyway.

So a few weeks ago I made a quota of writing three pages a day for my novel. I found out today that I'm 20 pages behind schedule.
I'm a lazy bastard.
Ooo what kind of novel are you writing?
It's been far too long.
I'm starting Episode 2 now. (Yes, I'm gonna ping you, @MetallicaRules. I've told you this exact thing once before but didn't go through with it. Now it's for real. I've opened the application and I'm gonna launch it.)

Would anyone recommend Dark Souls 2? I heard that it's like one of the most divisive games of all time, players either hate it or love it.
I'm rewatching bits of Until Dawn and man, how forgot how much Rami Malek hams it up after the reveal.
If you're a fan of Spider-Man, go see Into The Spider-Verse.
