Am I the only one a bit annoyed clem doesn’t mention Kenny enough to aj
As Kenny was the one who gave him the name and technically looked after him primarily for about a week (if killed or left at rest stop), or two (if stay at Wellington), or a year and a half (if stay with Kenny) and aj doesn’t mention him at all or at least clem should tell aj more about him.

Clementine doesn’t even mention his own parents enough to him.
Egh, probably not, but honestly who cares?
The fact that "shitbird" is an inside joke amongst them speaks otherwise, anyway.
I'd be more annoyed that AJ's origins are not acknowledged.
Yeah,i think there should be some serious talk at some point next episode where we can talk about AJ's parents and determinantly Kenny or Jane, but it's probably not gonna happen so let's just pretend it happened off-screen..
We need one moment at least before the end. But, Take Us Back sounds like a worthy episode to cover this.
Well, she's moved on. It'd be annoying if she just talked about Kenny and Lee the entire season. And it would get annoying.
Example:
Dutch: Money, Tahiti, plan
Clem: Kenny, Lee
See how annoying that would be if that was all Clem talked about?
We're talking about having a conversation with AJ about the people who took care of him, talking about his parents and Kenny or Jane, that would be great.
Clementine and AJ have been alone on the road for a loooong time. I imagine that they have had lots of conversations about his parents and Kenny. That being said, I do think it'd be awesome for AJ to say something here or there, like "I'm going to be brave like my dad" or whatever to show that he does know who they are. The writers know we love Lee, so they are giving us more Lee, there's not enough time to reminisce about everyone.
I have a plan. We just need money.
All we need is faith and time.
Clem's speech to the kids in ep.3 just before going to Delta: They will not crush us
Why bring up Kenny at all?? Imagine telling him "Hey! There used to be this guy named Kenny who was really REALLY abusive, controlling, and was toxic as fuck towards everyone and everything. Trust me, you would've loved him. But, like everyone else, he's dead, and you'll never meet 'em. Ever."
Oh, look who finally got back from the Phantom Zone. How's it been?
It feels like I just came out of prison after 40 years where society's changed a great deal since I've been gone. Idk if it's just today but it feels pretty dead
Eh, it's definitely not the only time.
Usually, you get maybe ten comments with maybe 2 replies at most per day and then things just go into a lull. Heck, even when the recent trailer dropped, people stopped commenting barely four hours later.
Didn't Rebecca name AJ? (which was really just passing down Alvin's name)
Anyways, probably because Kenny being "significant" to AJ is a determinant choice? Actually, staying with Kenny for the year before the car crash is the only determinant choice where Kenny's existence is even somewhat relevant.
a week or 2 is certainly not enough time for there to be an actual bond between them or for Clem to constantly mention his name for no reason. Even a year doesn't really matter because AJ is a damn baby and won't ever remember who the fuck he was.
Atleast with AJ's biological parents it's actually an important thing to let AJ know about the people who literally brought him into this world and who loved him and who would have continued to love him if they had the chance. It offers closure to AJ's personal identity to know what kind of people they were. Kenny is just unimportant.
My Clem killed Kenny personally so there's no reason to bring up a person she actually didn't like at all.
Adoptive parents always end up telling to their kids who was their biological parents. Clem should do it too.
That will not remove anything she did for AJ and the fact that she is the mom he couldn't have. But he need to know his origin.
I wonder if it's a thing that the writers are waiting to bring up in episode 4.
pretty much clem when it comes to season 2 and ANF plot points in the final season
I completely agree with this. I wish we had more time to bond with AJ. Instead of re-doing the card game in episode 2 I wish we had a heart to heart with AJ where you could talk about Javier and ANF (If you were solo/Wellington in S2), Kenny (If you went with Kenny) or Jane (If you went with Jane). Then he would ask about his own parents and you talk about Rebecca and Alvin. I really hope we have that dialogue option to talk about Rebecca, Alvin, and Kenny/Jane as well.
Kenny came up with the name.
Yeah, AJ does take something of a backseat in episode 2.
Maybe that's what's happening in the photo of AJ and Clem sitting on the rock having a chat? We can hope. I know we all love Lee but if we're talking about not mentioning real parents enough, Clem hardly ever mentions her own and she actually knew them, for 8 years!
