Why cause unneeded suffering? Kill him or let him turn, it will have the exact same result. The latter just causes him to suffer for no reason other then to satisfy some sort of revenge. There is a reason why capital punishment is painless

I can't believe I completely lied to James face, and said I wouldn't turn AJ into a killer. Lilly just pissed me off so much this episode. I also see absolutely no reason to keep her alive, sorry James.

Granted I've never been shot before, especially in the head (i'm pretty stoked about that), But a proper shot through the head wouldn't cause too much pain would it?
You mean it will make him kill anything that moves
He has killed 2 people, both of whom deserved it. Not "anything that moves". If a… morenything, Clem is the real murderer.
That's no way to survive in my book
Except it literally is. By killing Marlon and Lilly he saves himself, James and Clem.
I don't want to delve too deep into it, but I researched Capital Punishment for a school project over the past 3 months, the articles I read and methods I seen indicate that it is far from painless, there have been cases of people being alive for several minutes after facing the guillotine during the French Revolution.
Anyway I don't think these types of discussions are allowed, so I won't say anything more

By killing Marlon he got himself shot and almost killed.
Killing Lilly doesn't seem to have any bad consequences right now but I'm willing to bet it will matter in Episode 4
he got himself shot and almost killed.
lol that's on Louis and rest of those monsters that voted to send out a little boy and a teen… moreager into raider territory.

Killing Lilly saves James.
Because even though my clem tortured the shit out of him, she still has an ounce of humanity left. Letting him turn is just so cruel. He should have a say in at least the way in which he wanted to die.
I punched him and let Rosie loose on him but I'm not so heartless as to deny a man a final smoke and taunt him with the idea of turning him into a walker.
I didn't shy away from torturing that piece of shit (i slammed his head every chance i got) but in the end, I didn't let him turn simply because we had a deal: He offers me information and I kill him. Those were the terms of the deal and he honored his. As per the deal I put a knife in his head.
No compassion whatsoever, but fair is fair. That's what I'd like to teach AJ more than anything.

You're a horrible person. We're not
Sir, you take that back, right now.
Ok, I will. I can't judge you too much, I had AJ kill Lilly and now he's a psychopath.
You made the right choice.
Well to be fair....I tortured him and before I killed him I told AJ that I wanted him to watch...did I do good?
Better than not torturing him I suppose. The best thing is to lie and tell Abel that you will kill him and then do the opposite.

Yeah, I'm usually not one to murder people. I was a big defender of Marlon. But Lilly was completely irredeemable.
Because it will make AJ stronger.
You mean it will make him kill anything that moves, like Lilly, right ?

By turning him into a monster? Letting him turn gives NO BENEFIT whatsoever apart from: Teaching AJ how to effectively crush people.
That's a valuable skill to have, mate.
Actually, Capital Punishment is a very painful process, no matter the method carried out against the convicted
Granted I've never been shot before, especially in the head (i'm pretty stoked about that), But a proper shot through the head wouldn't cause too much pain would it?
The modern one (When done right) is not.
You basically pass out then die. No pain involved.
The electric chair is another story.
By killing Marlon he got himself shot and almost killed.

Killing Lilly saves James.
Oops I meant, sparing her
Sparing her leads to James's death.
Yeah and killing her has no bad consequence right now, except maybe turning AJ into more of a monster
I would have fed Abel to the walkers but I'd rather have him dead instead of letting him kill someone else.
That's my point.
sigh this conversation isn't going anywhere, but I respect your opinion.
Understandable.
I told Rosie to bite him and immediately felt a little bit bad for it so I had to give him what he wanted ? am just too kind.
That's actually not true of lethal injection at all based on the studies that have been done surrounding it.
Because even though my clem tortured the shit out of him, she still has an ounce of humanity left. Letting him turn is just so cruel. He should have a say in at least the way in which he wanted to die.
Because that's the practical thing to do?
I let his ass turn
I always strive to keep my Clementine honest and caring. He asked to be mercy killed so I gave him what he wanted.
Based and woke.
Hes still a threat if you let him turn, why would you want a walker inside your base?
I punched him and let Rosie loose on him but I'm not so heartless as to deny a man a final smoke and taunt him with the idea of turning him into a walker.

wait wait wait how in actual hell Clem being the real murderer?
Well... she did shoot that guy right in the face in ANF for selling her crappy bullets...
When you look back at everything that's happened so far, Abel really wasn't all that bad of a guy.
not in purpose she didn't expect it to have real bullets
