The Pep Talk [EP 3 SPOILERS]
I thought I'd create a seperate thread just to have a discussion about the Lee and Clem scene this episode, because wow.... what a scene.
I really feel like this scene was a smart addition to the episode purely because I think ever since we saw Clementine after Season One, we were always thinking about how Lee would have reacted to her growing up, had he been around. Honestly, it was pretty much the closest you could get to a real reunion between the two. Everything from Clem asking for advice on her current problems was really heartwarming. My personal favourite part though was finally getting to see Lee’s reaction to Clem’s older self, getting to see how much she’s grown. This has to be one of my favourite scenes in the series so far, and Lee hinted at one more after this, so I’ll look forward to that too.

I like how they sprinkled in the salt lick moment and the Lee moment as a little flashback to the old days. It was beautiful seeing Lee look over her before her big moment with pride.
Yea this moment was beautiful
Caught me by surprise.
By the way, the pic you posted now can finally officially end the Clem's height debate, because Lee is confirmed 6'2.
But? what? happend? at? the? ranch??
To be honest, I don't know why so many people liked it, they already did it, and they talk about lee so much and there are so much references, to be fair I felt a little nostalgic when I saw Clementine in the train, but then I felt the scene was too long and I dunno, It's been so damn long I'm past Lee's death so it really didn't affect me that way.
Or make it even more confusing.
Yeah, seriously!
Man I really wish the special editions had been done with these graphics, they actually managed to make Lee and Little Clem’s models look updated but still look like them. cough Kenny cough Jane.
Maybe DLC? Hopefully.
I liked the scene but couldn’t they have had music playing through the whole scene to give me the full amount of feels?
I loved it,what really broke me and made me shed a few tears was when they have that transition of Season 1 Clem to Teenager Clem, that was just really awesome and unexpected.
I think it was good to see how vulnerable she can be. She really just wants a place to call home and not fight for her life anymore. Another reference to the ranch too was interesting, wtf happened there?!?! We must have answers on episode 4.
I absolutely lost it when Clem transformed into her present day self. Ever since I started playing as Clem, I have always tried to make decisions that Lee would want Clem to make and to keep his legacy alive through her. I haven't always been perfect at it (I'm sure he wouldn't want my Clem to watch Carver's death), but that's been my overall goal. As often as I criticize ANF, one of my favorite Clem parts from that season is in Episode 4 when Clem is talking to Ava in her flashback, where she says she can hear his voice guiding her.
The point is that I wanted my Clem to be someone that my Lee would be proud of, and when she went from her S1 to TFS self, seeing and hearing Lee be so proud of who she has become, I couldn't help it. That was such a great moment from the episode and the season as a whole.
This reminded me of the times Aang would meet Roku in the spirit world, or when Naruto was visited by the sage of six paths, or when Piccolo was visited by Kami and Nail in DBS.
Holy fuck, when the heck THAT happen?!
during the tournament of power when he fell unconscious while fighting universe 6’s namekians
Okay, that sounds about right.
Didn't know there were Namekians in Universe 6 yet, though.
I almost cried.
