Two things that will hurt or destroy this story for me..
I'm sure this isn't for everyone, but there are two things that they could end the story with that would hurt it for me..
One is to kill of clementine. It's just cliche and I feel like they can tell a story with out that.
The second is to have a cliff hangar or leave things undone. For some reason in story telling mediums, writers feel like they can't just tell a good story with a definitive end. There's no need to leave loose ends.. Tell a good story with a satisfying ending.. I have faith..

I don't think they're gonna do either
Two things that will hurt or destroy this story for me:
I disagree with your first point, but I most definitely agree with your second one.
I feel Clem will be determinant, there will probably be a "good and bad" ending type of thing.
I dont think they'll have a cliff hanger, but I hope they end it thematically correct. Theres been so many Telltale games now that just end in such a dumb way that its hard to undertsand what the director was thinking. Think back to season 1 when Lee dies. The music playing, the camera angles used, cut to black, you linger on the cut to black, then it goes "The Walking Dead." Theres such a larger impact. Now flash forward to recent Telltale games, the game just ends. Just "haha goodbye heres choices" all feels wrong. Biggest sore is Batman S2 where it abruptly just yeets and ends. No music, nothing thematically boosting the ending impact, just "Bye."
Like for example, imagine if Clem dies in this game. Shes dying, AJ gets up to shoot her, he shoots her in like 2 seconds, goes to black, then 1 second after it goes "choices time!!!" Like all Im asking for is for the ending to build some atmosphere when it happens, whatever the ending is.
If you remember, achievements for EP4 said that there will most likely be an ending in which both Clem and AJ survive or Clem dies. But since Skybound rewrote the EP4 then I guess we can't be sure of anything now.
They've said that they've only strengthened the current script, not actually change it all that much. I doubt the endings will be heavily changed.
As long as they don’t kill her in all of the endings I’m fine with it. I mean she has the school, and she did tell Lee in the dream sequence that she felt different about it, so I’d imagine that she can stay there and then survive the entire apocalypse with no big events after the delta
I think neither will occur, reason being that Gary Whitta said back in November 2017 that they want to bring Clementine's Story to a definitive conclusion, so I take that as no cliffhanger. As for Clementine dying, I agree when you say there are better ways to conclude the Story, because there is, it is the apocalypse, even so, life itself can still progress. I think Clementine is too seasoned of a survivor to get bitten, so I would cross that out. There are other ways of killing her, but neither of them do the character of Clementine "justice", I think a Happy Ending, or at least an Ending with Clementine, AJ and a couple of the Boarding School kids like Louis, Aasim, Violet all living relatively content at the Boarding School would be the perfect way to end the Series. Since Season One, Clementine has been looking for a home, a family to love and care for, and we have seen time and time again how it all didn't work, I firmly believe that The Walking Dead: The Final Season will and should, get a Happy Ending, it may go against the whole doom and gloom trope associated with the apocalyptic narrative genre, but we have seen several times, in The Walking Dead, and even certain parts of our own history, that people can persevere and make it through the most difficult of times.
That is my view on it, sorry for the long text
Based on the achievements for episode 4 there is going to be 4 endings. My thought:
Ending 1: Clem Dies
Ending 2: AJ Dies
Ending 3: Clem and AJ are the only survivors or they decide to separate from the group
Ending 4: I don't have a clue but is the achievement related to bomb
I could go with whatever ending, just not one where clementine dies. Like you said its clechie and just over used. Clementine has to find a home with AJ because that's what we've been trying to find since season 1. It would be amazing if they can tie in the comics and the game and they find Alexandria or even The Hilltop, just my wishful thinking
Thinking from a writer's or developer's standpoint, you have to create practical endings that are all equal. You can't just make fanservice. There won't be endings where Clem and everyone else live happily ever after in one and just total death in another. Having an ending that would be proven to be more preferred than the others just bad writing. But we've seen TT actually handle this well in S2, S3. Polarizing endings, with no clear favorable one that even a majority of people are singularly geared towards.
Therefore my hunch is the endings will certainly be:
One ending where Clem dies
One ending where both Clem and AJ die
One ending where both CLEM AND AJ LIVE.... but the Ericson kids all have to die, or some form of abandonment occurs where AJ and Clem can't stay at the school.
Now looking at these consequences, all of them require some sort of sacrifice. They're all bittersweet. None of these offer a safe cop-out for the player, which is why I believe the writers are going with this or something very similar for the finale.
lol they're not going to touch the comics at all. The timeline in the games already fuck up Kirkman's creative process. There's a reason he has no interest in doing anything with Clementine. He doesn't really see it as his creation.
I'm nervous because I feel like AJ's thoughts often come true. He said he couldn't stop thinking about making that little knife until he made it and it ended up helping Clem escape. Now he says he can't stop thinking about Clem being bit... I hope his thoughts don't come to fruition. I seriously want Clem to live but I bet you anything if she dies, she's dying in a blaze of glory.
I doubt that they're leaving it on a cliffhanger. But I hope that most of your choices, relationships and the way you raised AJ does take a part in the ending you got. Sorta like the karma effect in the Infamous series.
The story has been hurt and destroyed already.
...
That is one actor who I cannot stand.
I guess that you are talking about the "Give up Alfred" ending, wich, like you said, does end abruptly. However, the "give up Batman" choice has a nice conclussion, with the Bruce Wayne theme playing in the background and more shyncronised with the scene, and the symbolism of the Batsignal dissappearing from the skies while Bruce turns his back to hug Alfred, with a very obvious face of regret for what he has chosen.
That was a simple scene, yet it felt very powerful to me when I played.
Don't worry, TFS is repairing the damage ANF did
I was actually referring to the final season.
No, you couldn’t have been.
Oh my god, I just noticed that's the knife AJ made.
No joke, I was.
haha, nice.
