Yeah... I don't know where he would have heard about patrolling. I'm super curious how long they were at the ranch because I'd like to know how young AJ was when they left, how much he can remember besides 'the blood'. Maybe Clem patrolled areas while the two of them were alone? Like maybe she used that word when they spent the night in the woods or abandoned buildings? So he wants to be like her and patrol and keep her safe for once. I don't know, but fun to think about.
