Lily was already pretty bad from the moment she shot Carley in Season 1, but that Lily was nowhere near as evil as the one in TFS. What could've caused such a drastic change in her character? Well, the answer's pretty simple. It was none other the lord of Apokolips himself, Darkseid. Between her leave in S1 and her appearance in TFS, Lily came in contact with Darkseid when he promised her power and control over others, brainwashing her into becoming one of his furies and leading the Delta. Since then, he's tasked her with gathering an army to add to his race of parademons.

This would explain why she went from being a semi-loving/caring person with anger issues to a cold, heartless, and merciless leader who abducts teens. Darkseid's being in TFS would also explain why Minerva is devoted to Lily and is afraid to fight back against her orders, knowing that she and everyone else are all working for Darkseid.

I believe for those of you who let her get away, she'll report back to Darkseid and inform him of Clementine's resistance that lead to her failing her objective, where he'll then take matters into his own hands.
For those of us who had AJ blast her in the face, he'll become curious as to why she hasn't reported back to him and will come to Earth and confront the kids at Ericson's himself.
