Looking back at the memories
This is just a goodbye thread where you can post how old you were when episode one came out and favorite memory’s of this game series for me I was young and I hated scary movies/games and on 2012 on October I really wanted to get into the Halloween spirit and I was just hearing how popular the walking dead franchise was so I looked it up and came across the game and started it and honestly changed my life and I am very sad to see it go but it’s best to end it I guess what’s your guys story

I started playing in December 2012 shortly after s1e5 was released.. The ability to choose dialogue and make decisions was groundbreaking to me and the story was incredible. I had just had a kid and it was really impactful to play this game about raising a child in the worst possible circumstances. I got hooked on the universe and lore of the games and made several good friends after joining the forums and subreddit.
I actually started with season two of the game. I was a fan of the television series, but the video game never really caught my interest. I remember when All That Remains was released, and said fuck it and watched a play through of it on youtube (I think it was PewDiePie?). I really liked the dark vibe the season gave off at first. I remember people on here going crazy about the Amid The Ruins episode slide. The three versions, the dark music, the creepy atmosphere. This site (and others) went crazy with theories. Pretty morbid ones. Season 2 drew a lot of excitement when it first released. And I will never forget that creepy vibe it gave off just by the menu screens. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out the way most of us expected.
That’s actually really awesome how old is your child now
First year of college (2012) I walked into my roommate’s room. He was watching the season 1 finale of the amc series so I sat and watched it with him.
After that I went down to my room and started from episode 1. Once I hit the midseason 3 finale I was craving more TWD so I searched the psn store and found season 1, played them all in two days and then started the comics, followed by the novels.
To this day nothing in TWD hit me as hard as Lee’s death. This was back when I was still trusting strangers in game, and back when I was hoping and praying that taking off the arm, even as late as he did would save him.
By the time season 2 came around I had gotten much more into the survival aspect ( such as stealing from arvo) and putting down whatever walkers I could so as not to have what happened to Dale happen to me.
downloaded because Walking dead hype at the time
hated at first because I thought it was a shooter game
Stayed for the feels
I played Season 1 when I was 12. I've played their other titles too; Borderlands, Jurassic Park, Wolf Amoung Us. Great games made by a great team of developers. Gonna miss them after March 26. But at least we still have our memories. Telltale is the exact same as Arthur Morgan. We all know they'll be gone soon but we won't be prepared for when they're actually gone. It's gonna be sad. Walking Dead S1 was the second game to ever make me cry. S2 was the third. And I'll know I'll break down once episode 4 is over. If not because of Clem's potential death, but because we'll never get to she her do anything new ever again.
What was the first game to make you cry if I may ask
Gears of War 3. I'm pretty solid when it comes to sad stuff, but I played Gears 1 when I was 6, played Gears 2 when I was 8, and Gears 3 when I was 11. I played as Dom for all three games.
I got into Telltale and The Walking Dead when I broke my finger back in early 2017. I couldn’t play any games I usually played so I looked around on my Xbox One hard drive to find a game I could actually play with a broken finger. Then I stumbled upon The Walking Dead Season 1 that I got for free from Xbox live gold a while back. I went into the game with the lowest expectations possible thinking it was going to be a boring “playable movie” thing (and I thought the whole zombie idea was gonna be a massive cliche). Let’s just say I’ve never been so grateful about breaking a bone in my entire life.
Found the game at the store back in 2012 I was a young teen looking for horror games to play and I saw the walking dead (At that time it was the first time I've ever heard of this title) so I picked it up and played it with my little brother....then I became a fan of everything twd related...especially this beautiful game ;__;
I think it was around 2015 when I discovered Telltale's Walking Dead, I was watching the show and was hooked on the universe so I tried the game.
As I played it and finished Season 2 I was obsessed with it, it was and still is my favorite series
I was today years old when I found out about TWD.
I must have been either twelve or thirteen when I played the first season; it was my first Telltale game at the time. I am now nineteen and continue to play their creations when I am home from university.
Didn’t get the first game for ages, possibly until S2 was out, because I thought it would just be a generic shooter.
I vaguely remembered reading something about a main character dying, and was convinced it was Clem, so it was a big shock when Lee got bitten...
I got into it when season 3 came out. I just happened to see a video on facebook about it. I bought it after I saw it. I like how you can choose what to say and do. I like seeing people's reactions and see what decision they made
I started playing The Walking Dead in 2014 and got hooked into the series I was so flabbergasted on how telltale made this master piece then got into the comics Nd got caught up, and when I played season 2 I was also satisfied on Telltales work great acting not long episodes like season 1 had but it was still brilliant, now for ANF I was mixed emotion about it.
I mean I was hoping they stocked with the original script in the game and not too mention the thumb nail post I saw of Javinand Clem in that meat lockerbscene would have been epic too see wish they didn’t rewrite the story even tho I like Javier personally he was pretty cool but for his family....Mehhh I hated Gabe he was Fucken annoying gave me trouble and I sided with kateball the time when it comes too Gabe.
Now for the final Season I love it, i give all the thanks too Telltale...R.I.P
