As for the video, I'm sharing what I liked about RE7 more than RE2.

I also personally agree. I think RE7 is by far under rated and I feel is currently the best Resident Evil game. RE2 remake is fantastic and it probably offers more content overall than RE7 does, but RE2 remake is missing a lot of RE7's atmosphere in the fear factor. RE2 remake a lot of tension and fear wasnt really there for me after a while, and I think the main reason for this is 100% how interacting with items pauses the entire game. RE7 always keeps tension because whenever you need to do something with your inventory, the game doesnt pause. So if youre in a boss fight and need to craft health, you have to do it quick or else youll die.

I also feel the first person camera fits much better. You cant see in all directions, thus more tension. RE2 is third person so you can just things from multiple angles, and fear often times comes from the unknown, so knowing whats behind you for example doesnt make you scared.

Overall I really love both these games, but I keep finding myself replaying RE7 every once in a while to go through it. I overall find RE7 more enjoyable to speedrun. But overall I do think both RE7 and RE2 Remake are incredible games. (even if the boat in re7 sucks)

(also I love RE7's saferoom them as well. It really gives you this feeling of safety while also not actually feeling safe at all)

  • One of the few HIV/AIDS treatment hospitals in Canada, Casey House launched a new campaign today to break the stigma surrounding these underrepresented diseases. They aim to help bring light to common misconceptions by using pop culture (which often adresses and helps spread information on certain social issues).

They re-edited some episodes of Friends and The Office into two 5-minute shorts. They're very well-made and clever.

    https://smashstigma.ca/

These new twists on episodes was made with the help of lookalikes to replace the actors' mouths, post-production techniques to edit them in, and impersonators to re-dub the current/new dialogue. It's pretty impressive.

  • I messed up, Gamers.

  • Can someone explain what the appeal is of Infamous: Second Son, because if I’m being honest, I’m not really feeling it. It was cool in the beginning, but now, it just feels boring and repetitive, and I’m like halfway through the game. People kept telling me about it’s great gameplay and combat, but all you’re doing is spray painting, taking down some drones, and using same 3 attacks that you can barely upgrade and don’t do much damage later in the game as the enemies get tougher.

  • been feelin baron around here fellas

This is why I think the first 2 games are so much better. InFamous 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. InFamous Second Son was such a huge disappointment for me. I only played it twice, completing both karma paths and never touched it again. The story was underwhelming, I never cared much for the main protagonist, the open world is soo empty, the main antagonist is forgettable. One thing that ruined this entire game is the lack of citizen side quests. Those were one of the reasons why the first games were so good, I always completed them before reaching the end of the main story. The side missions in SS were so repetitive.

I would recommend you to play InFamous 1 and 2. Sadly, they are not ported on PS4 and you can only reach them if you subscribe to Playstation Now. They are so much better in every way.

  • Hot damn, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is looking like some serious gourmet shit right there.

  • sup bitches, did you know that telltale won't tell us ANYTHING for 8 months. now, fuck off with the speculations of early releases or teasers before 2021!

  • Yeah, the general consensus is that the game is fairly shallow and empty with things compared to previous entries.

Personally, I loved it. The many different powers were interesting, IMO, it looks gorgeous, and while there's a lot of busy work, I didn't really mind it.
Still, I'd put Infamous 2 as the pinnacle of the series.

  • i think what frustrates me most about RE2's music choices is that in the original the music in itself was such a prominent part of the game that it could be considered it's own character, and the atmosphere of the game is heavily strengthened by each set of rooms having it's own theme. however, the remake not only removes a majority of that music, but the music it does keep is either recomposed into an infinitely more bland version of an iconic song, or it's mixed so badly with the game's audio that you cannot hear it at all. the only pieces you can manage to hear are boss fight themes or that shitty droning instrumental when zombies are attacking you.

yet if you use the classic music pack, the original's music is not only flawlessly integrated into the game with proper mixing and placement, but it also perfectly fits the modern atmosphere despite being in a game released 21 years prior. so i really have no idea what they were thinking when they decided to change it so drastically.

RE7 though really aces the usage of music. super into it.

  • Ended up Birds of Prey seeing this a few days ago. I was wondering why this movie was underperforming according to a headline, but ignoring things like contentious creative liberties, the wrong sociopolitical message getting rumored, or the R rating being strict, I unfortunately see a little of why.
It was eh, being one of those movies that gets better as it goes, but seemingly does so little by little per act.

  • I really want to go back and continue my platinum hunting in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice but I just don't feel like I'm in the mood for it right now or anytime soon. I enjoyed that game and such but unlike Dark Souls and Bloodborne, it kind of lacks replay value due to not being an RPG and feels more linear.

  • Have you ever thought on doing a voice commentary as you review from bad to worst?

  • That would be cool an all but when I listen to my recorded voice, I cringe a lot and I would be lying to myself if I say my voice is breathtaking.

HOWEVER. I got an idea. I'm planning to do playthrough of Resident Evil 3 Remake and The Last of Us Part 2 when they come out, with commentary and put it on youtube.

  • Welp, Hilda Fans... We've got ourselves a teaser poster!

I also read a tweet on the subreddit that a few days ago sound mixing for Season 2 officially started.

  • Same here, when I was on Facebook giving out a happy New Year’s to all my friends I had to say cut a couple of times like a director because my voice was horrible I sounded like a 13 or a 16-year-old talking so I had to say practice continuously until I got it right and without no minor stuttering when I get nervous .

I’m like Double D from Ed Edd n Eddy when I get nervous .

You will never be able to change my mind on this.

The greatest rule in the history of sports is the NHL Emergency Goalie rule. In a hockey game, each team has two goalies, the starter and the backup. However, there is a third goalie, provided by the home team, that can become available to either team should both goalies go down and are unable to keep playing. I’m unsure of the actual selection process as to how these teams pick them, but those people are provided seats and food for the game, and are pretty much just there in case they’re needed. Rarely do they ever come into the game. It did happen a couple of years ago for the Chicago Blackhawks, where both their goalies were injured, and a 36 year old accountant named Scott Foster came in for the remaining 10 minutes of the final period. Foster, who never played professional hockey, played only in college and for a local league, and (as mentioned) is an accountant, stopped all 7 shots from professional NHL players.

Well, this rule came into play again yesterday between the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Canes goalie was injured, and thus, the Maple Leafs had to provide for them their emergency goalie, their 42 year old zamboni driver named David Ayers. That’s right, the Maple Leafs we’re facing off against their own zamboni driver...and they still lost. That is absolutely hilarious.

And to make it even better, he did it on the 40th anniversary of the Miracle on Ice, the greatest hockey game of all time.

    Oh. My. God.
That's too funny to be true. Goddamn, Toronto. I know people poke fun at our team a lot, but this is really embarrassing.

  • In light of the traffic being a bit lighter (for obvious reasons), would you guys object to us loosening the rules and allowing memes to be posted here again instead of having their own designated thread? I wouldn't plan on merging the threads (they'd still be kept separate), just that you guys would also be allowed to post memes here since this thread gets more attention.

  • Yeah, Season 2 lost itself after Episode 3. I still hate the J.T. Petty for ruining everything. He was never a Telltale employee to begin with. He even ruined my love for Outlast franchise.

Season 2 was a really fucking depressing overdose.
