Video Games, Books, Comics, Films, Music, and TV Series You Like That Are Objectively Poor Quality

I was playing through the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Collection to get it up to 100% complete. Reviewing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the Nintendo Entertainment System was hard because I enjoy it, but it is objectively mediocre at best. That made me think about the other things I enjoy that are objectively of poor quality. Mine that I could think of are due to rose colored glasses from playing them as a little girl.

For me, its: The Adventures of Gilligan's Island for NES by Bandai, Adventures in the Magic Kingdom for NES by Capcom, Barbie for NES by Hi Tech Expressions, Mickey Mousecapade for NES by Capcom, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for NES by Konami, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit for NES by Rare.

  • Haven't seen any of them in a while but I used to love watching The Asylum mockbusters and those direct-to-DVD Syfy monster movies, and those are definitely objectively bad lol. Absolutely terrible from top to bottom in virtually everyway, but endlessly entertaining.

Ooh, I forgot about those SyFy TV movies. Those are my guilty pleasure too. SyFy made a ton of weird alien ones around the time Eureka was on. Eureka was made by SyFy, but it's good. The only part that's objectively bad about that show was the science.

Those films got me for their weird B-movie feel, like a modern version of those corny films Hollywood produced in the 1950s after the UFO sightings in Roswell and Area 51.

I'll still turn on SyFy and watch their weird films if they're on.
