Puzzle Agent on many systems

I'm interested in buying Puzzle Agent and would like to know if I should buy it on my iPad, iPhone or Macbook Pro... Would it be possible to buy it once and get it to work on the 3 tools?

    No. If you buy it directly from Telltale Games you get it for PC and Mac. You'd have to buy iPad and iPhone versions separately on iTunes.
