problem with the serial number

I have received "the secret of monkey island" as a gift some weeks ago. I installed it and I also managed to unlock it but now it doesn't work (i'm still in touch with activision support group). Now, I tried to install it in another computer but the system doesn't allow me to unlock the game once again. Could you please give me another serial number or explain me how i can install the game in another machine?
