Lilly and Kenny simularities

edited September 2013 in The Walking Dead

Dont kill me Kenny fans :P
after I dont with my pro Kenny and Pro Lilly save I thought that there are many things that Lilly and Kenny are not so different at,lets have a look :

1.They both want to lead
2. They both are looking out for thier families
3.They both want Lee on thier side
4.They both killed a group member claiming it was to protect the others
5.They both chossing not to save you at soem point if you side with the other at the meat locker (Lilly doesnt shoot,Kenny stays in the barn)
6.They both were ready to forgive Lee about his past if he sided with them
7.thier fates are unknown (yeah yeah..fate will be explored.. I know..) :)

  • But Kenny initially liked by everyone. Unlike Lilly. Even if Lilly would didn't kill Carley/Doug, on the side of Kenny would be a lot more people. Even if Kenny would kill Carley or Doug, people would still be on his side.

I say this as one of the few people who are always on the side of Lilly.

  • Hm..not everyone :P (pointing at myself) tho I respect Kenny fans opinion even tho I dont agree with them

  • In the end, we saw Kenny trying to help Ben even it was a suicide, i wonder if Lilly would do the same thing (i belive she's not).

  • Yeah and the ep before he wanted Lee to drop Ben.
Plus that scene with Ben is nonsensical. Shoot Ben and come back up don't just stay there... especially if your going to give a speech about that sort of thing literally a minute earlier.

Lilly and Kenny are similar really, with them caring about their families, their rash behaviour and in the end mostly just looking out for themselves. Obviously there are many differences as well and circumstances.

  • Do you remember why Kenny want Lee to drop Ben?

  • Kenny never understood Ben,Killing someone Or at least wanting to does not make him better then Lilly shooting Carley. Both Lilly and Kenny want to be leaders but truth is they both looking up to LEE for support.

  • Reasons doesnt matter, would you Kill someone that made so much mistakes he regrets? and then yelling at him in front of the intire team that he should have died. Kenny is not such a bro in my eyes, and I dont like him, simple as that cannot be.

  • I think there was a thread awhile back similar to this, so I'll just restate my opinion. I think it was an intentional choice on the part of the Devs to make them so similar. Like you said, both look out for their families above all else, and both think that THEY could be the better leader. They both lose everyone that's close to them, too. Funnily enough, before the RTW crud, when game Lilly and comic Lilly were still the same person, Lilly (arguably) gets her redemption by shooting the Governor. Kenny (arguably) gets his when he Mercy kills Ben/Saves Christa. "Not So Different" indeed, all things considered...
