I hope Season 2
Starts immediately after season 1 ended; I really don't want a huge time jump (Nearly a year) and be after 400 days. The return of any characters would feel weaker if they do this as so much time has passed. For example seeing Vince on day 400 felt a bit weird seeing as he'd survived 398 days and I hadn't seen any of it or what he'd done.
I'd rather 400 days was simply DLC and we continue at least around the same point as where Clem is so to give us a bit more continuity .
(oh and what happened I only left a few weeks ago and everything changed on here?)

I also hoped that there will not be big jump in time, but after the DLC 400 days... my hopes was broken down. And then I thought and decided that there's nothing wrong.
I also hope for a direct continuation from where we left Clementine. After all, The Walking Dead is a game series with seasons and episodes. Like the TV-series. Mostly all series resume from where the last episode ended. If they do a time jump it's usually a maximum of three months. However, I don't think Telltale will do any jumps in time. They left us with the final cutscene and they can't just skip that can they?
I really don't care if we get a time-skip or not. To be honest, I'd prefer it. We can easily learn what Clem was doing for a year through the 400 Days protagonists. Besides, I wouldn't like it if we got a random one year time-skip in the middle of the season or something. I'm really itching to see where the 400 Days protagonists go with their story.
That would pretty much ruin the game for me. When I played the first season I put 100% of my time to focus on Clementine. If they're just gonna give us that final cutscene, and then jump in time and only give us a quick flashback on how Clementine made it. Feels like everything we did in the first season was for nothing. I want to resume where i left, with a new or old character, and resume Lee's care for her. Anyway, according to Telltale Clementine will "definitely" return.
But the 400 days DLC has the name because it was 400 days into the disaster, how many days did we follow Clementine & the rest? 50 days? 100 days? 200 days? How far of a jump will it be? (Sorry if I'm stupid, it was a while since I played it )
Well, the jump between Episode One and Two were three months. That is 91 days. The time between Episode Two and Three was according to the Wikia "a couple weeks." Let's say three weeks. This gives us 112 days. If they decide to make a jump after Episode Five to match up with 400 Days, they'll have to jump around 288 days from where we left Clementine. That is about nine months... So much could have happend in nine months. Clementine would almost be ten years old. I'd rather have Telltale make us play from where we left Season One, and make the entire second season last for 288 days until it reach the ending time for 400 Days.
I trust TelltaleGames, but in the same thought, it can be so easy to destroy this amaizng game by jumping in time and stuff.
I don't think they will make any jumps in time. Remember the teaser image shown at Comic-Con? It reveals Clementine sitting on the same branch where we left her in Season One with a mysterious figure next to her. Jumping in time would ruin Clementine's character.
I know, thats what i am saying. I want to keep the line of the story from where we eneded it. i dont want to jump 200 days, i want to experience the zombie apocalypse from the start - to the end.
I fully agree. I hope we get to start from where we left off, and maybe have the entire new season take place in 200 days. We end up with Tavia in the final episode.
It could happend. But the characters we saw on "400 days" will only show up in Season 3? i dont think its possible... i think we are going to jump alot of days, and i hate it.
I'm fine if we make a three months or a couple of weeks jumps here and there. In that case, I hope much haven't happend in between the jumps.
Much happend every day, every hour, it's a fucking zombie apocalypse, of course things happend. thats why i dont want to jump, even in one day...
I have a feeling we won't see the main guys, simply the people who were in their stories. So Justin/Danny, Eddie, Nate, Leland?, and Romans group. That's my thoughts anyway, maybe even meet the protagonists briefly.
Yeah, I agree. If there was a time jump (especially with all new characters), I probably couldn't even focus on the story they would be giving us, I would just worry about what happened to Clem.
I want the game to pick of where season 1 left off especially as I fully believe we will be in control of Clem. I imagine it will be Christa and Omid that find Clem (though that may be hope more than anything.) or it could be Tavia and the radio guy or possibly Tavia and Bonnie. (For the pure reason we don't know how long Clem has been sat there for. Savvannah was crawling with zombies and Clem has no form of transport so it could have taken Clem longer than you think to get out of there. Likewise, it could have taken days/weeks for those silhouettes to appear and Bonnie is the only one to join Tavia no matter what your choices are.)
Anyway, I imagine the first episode will focus on Clem reaching the settlement and kinda telling her story and meeting a few characters what will become part of the main group. Then, if the 400 days characters aren't at the settlement already, they will most likely appear in episode 2 and join up with Clem.
I don't really mind a time jump so long as we find out what happened to Clem. I think most of us played 400 days and I can't see telltale saying choices made in 400 days would effect season 2 if characters weren't going to crossover. Maybe two smaller time jumps (one when Clem has got settled and the settlement and another one when the 400 days characters join the settlement) instead of a longer time jump.
as I think though I would prefer a time jump to happen at the end of episode 1 / beginning of episode 2 (and tie the 400 days characters in here) so long as we find out who those silhouettes are and what happened to Clem first.
