Uuh... I'm sure neither of them are in Dead Man's Folly, and I'm not sure about The Labours of Hercules. But from what I've read these characters have appeared in episodes that they were not in the books of. So I figure they'll get worked in since it's the last series....
As someone who's always been interested in Christie-mysteries, I recorded and watched 'Three Act Tragedy'. It was incredibly depressing and dear lord I want more.
Découvrir la solution n'est pas toujours très simple. Mes petites cellules grises devez connecter les preuves, Il doit y avoir motif, la raison, et il doit y avoir un avantage. N'avez-vous pas d'accord, Hastings?

While i'm here, who thinks that Telltale should do a game based on Agatha Christie's Poirot?
In October I’ll be filming my last five stories. Agatha Christie didn’t write any more, so I will have done them all.’ The last book in the series, in which
Poirot dies
, is called Curtain, and there was a time when David refused to film it. ‘I thought it would be too devastating. Nothing had prepared me for the public’s enormous affection for Poirot. People loved him so much that when he
died it made the front page of the New York Times
. But the time has come to say goodbye. I’ll feel very sad, but also enormously privileged that I’ve been given that fantastic body of work and that this little man, who’s taken me all over the world, has given so much pleasure to so many.
I dunno if it's been mentioned at all but Mark Gatiss is adapting the Big Four (aka Poirot turns into a blockbuster movie action hero) for the next series, which makes me happy.
Also the blu-rays of the first few years are coming out (at least in R1) and I want them badly.

Yes, I think he might be a good choice for that novel. He strikes me as the kind of guy who would enjoy the somewhat ridiculous use of the characters.
Hmm... a couple of websites report that a broadcast date in June is to be announced, and the EPG shows "Agatha Christie's Poirot" - no details - showing on ITV a week on Sunday.
(Hmm... perhaps they can do "The Labours of Hercules" in the same manner as the third episode of "Sherlock"?!)
Oh, I can't wait! Hopefully they'll release it early on DVD here like they did with series 12, which came out on DVD before all the episodes had even aired in the UK, I think.
(Strictly speaking, there have indeed been no Poirot pastiche novels so far. There's been a novelisation of a play, at least two short stories, and a novel in which Poirot appears as one of a large cast, but no original novel. But there's been... what, five? more James Bond novelists than the BBC are aware of)
The Big Four is gonna be on the 23rd and ITV had a trailer announcing the final 4 cases are starting with this so the others will be soon to follow presumably

... well, except for all the stories that are specific variants of other stories...
The thought of Poirot typing tweets makes me smile.

I say! the final series sounds awesome.

"Suchet has confirmed – will feature the return of Philip Jackson as Japp and Pauline Moran as Miss Lemon."
I can't wait to see the old gang reunited.
Number 4 has to be played by different actors in his disguises to work as it did in the book.

The last episode will be airing in Mainland Europe in January, so it's safe to assume it'll be monthly.
